Chapter 200 Night Raid on the Camp
Chapter 200 Night Raid on the Camp
As dusk approached, it was soon time to leave work. Zhang Ailun shut down his office computer, stretched, and walked downstairs.
Jennifer, who lives on the first floor, had just finished cleaning and was about to close the door.
Bailey was still calculating that he had only sold six orders today. He started recalculating the numbers and delivered two more orders, but it was still far from the ten orders Jennifer had mentioned. However, it was impossible for him to work overtime today.
"Honey, do you want to come back with me?" Jennifer changed her clothes, slung her newly bought LV bag over her shoulder, and looked at the leader expectantly.
It's no doubt that her LV bags were sourced from street vendors; after all, what's on the counter compared to the good quality and low price of those on the street?
"You go with Bailey, I have some things to take care of tonight."
Zhang Ailun handed the Wrangler keys to Jennifer, had Bailey pull the armored truck out and park it outside, and then picked out a few handy weapons and explosive ordnance to put in the armored truck, just in case.
"Can I drive your Lamborghini?" Jennifer asked tentatively.
"Of course." Zhang Ailun smiled.
"Can I give people rides?" Jennifer asked again.
"Men won't do," Zhang Ailun replied.
"Oh, of course it couldn't be a man. Are you doubting me? It's some of my female friends."
Jennifer readily agreed. After hugging and kissing the leader goodbye, she and Bailey drove to Old Pick's Auto Repair Shop to borrow the leader's Lamborghini and take her sisters shopping.
Zhang Ailun closed the store, sat in the armored vehicle, took out his phone to notify Sig to meet on Y1 Street, and asked how their preliminary work preparations were going.
Sig: Everything's ready. I even got a sand truck from Kim Rachel. When are we going?
Zhang Ailun: We haven't received any notification from Supervisor Reid yet. Let's go and deal with those Black Panthers who are involved in human trafficking first.
Sig: Okay, I'll take some men over right away.
Zhang Ailun put away his phone, started the armored vehicle, and drove to Y1 Street. He stopped by the roadside, got out, and bought a quick meal at a convenience store across the street.
The streetlights lit up one by one, but only at intersections near traffic lights; the rest of the streets remained dark, and pedestrians became scarce. Only convenience stores and some storefronts lit up with neon lights.
Not long after, Sieg arrived with his men. Zhang Ailun waved them over, signaling them to get in the car and talk. Several burly men sat in the back of the armored truck, picked up the weapons and equipment that were on the truck, and waited patiently.
Sig, sitting in the passenger seat and fastening his seatbelt, asked, "Boss, should we notify Eddie? Isn't he in charge of managing the begging business on these streets?"
Zhang Ailun thought for a moment: "There's no need for that. Just be normal. Otherwise, those guys might not have the guts to kidnap people here."
It was around 22:40 p.m. There weren't many people on the street anymore. The Beggars' Sect members who had finished work were still wandering the streets, walking in groups, gathering together, holding cheap beer they had bought, chatting and laughing.
"Guess what? I met a really generous lady today. I complimented her on her perfect figure and how she looked like a movie star, and she was so happy that she gave me $5 right away!"
"Why did that guy punch me the moment I praised him last time?"
"Buddy, if you want to beg for money from passersby, you have to learn to observe carefully. If someone is in a hurry, it's best not to bother them. If someone is carrying a lot of daily necessities, they usually have some spare change and won't mind giving you a few extra cents. You need to be a little sweet-talking to have a chance of getting money!"
A group of Beggars' Sect members, known as the Dirty Clothes Sect, were teaching internal martial arts techniques under a streetlamp, while veteran employees chatted eloquently, holding bottles of liquor and boasting.
Even at night, there was no worry at all, because this was their Beggars' Gang's territory. The walls were covered with little yellow ducks, and Sanji Bar was just on the next street. Thanks to the leader, there were basically no black homeless people or thugs wandering around the surrounding streets anymore, and the security had improved a lot.
The police enforcement was much more intense than in other neighborhoods, making the area unsuitable for zero-dollar purchases.
Not long after, a silver-gray van with license plate number LS-46G-8A appeared on the street and lingered for a while, attracting attention.
Finally, the car stopped in front of several Beggars' Sect disciples. The car door was opened from the inside out, and several masked black men suddenly ran out of the car.
The Beggars' Sect disciples sensed something was wrong, and several of them quickly dropped the wine bottles they were holding and turned to run away.
However, these old black men were clearly prepared. They went after the two seemingly young Beggar Clan disciples, tackled and grabbed them, and forcibly shoved them into the bread cart.
"Oh! Shit! Who are you people?" The Beggar Clan disciples were terrified and screamed in alarm.
"Behave yourself, okay? Or I'll break your head!" Old Black threatened.
When Sig and Qibatu saw this, they wanted to get out of the car to stop them, but Zhang Ailun stopped them and let the two Beggar Clan disciples be taken away by Lao Hei.
They tied him up tightly and stuffed a towel into his mouth. Several men hurriedly put him in the car, and Old Black in the driver's seat stepped on the gas and drove away from the street.
The remaining Beggar Clan members were terrified. They hid on the street watching the departing bread truck and hurriedly took out their phones to call for help.
Zhang Ailun then calmly started the armored vehicle, drove up to them, rolled down the window, and announced, "No need to call the police. I'll handle this."
"Boss? What are you doing here?" Upon seeing Zhang Ailun suddenly appear, the Beggar Clan disciple seemed to instantly find his pillar of support and hurriedly said, "Those black guys kidnapped Hord and Billy."
"I saw them. You guys should go back quickly. The streets aren't safe these days. Tell everyone else not to wander around the streets unless necessary," Zhang Ailun instructed, then continued to reassure everyone, "I'll bring them both back safely."
He rolled up the car window, stepped on the gas, and drove off the street, closely following the van as it left the city and headed towards the Black Panther team's headquarters in the suburbs.
"Boss, why didn't you just attack directly?" Qibatu asked, still puzzled as he drove.
"They must have kidnapped more than two people. There are probably other victims in their territory. If we alert them beforehand, they will definitely run away as soon as they get wind of it, and then it will be difficult to catch them."
Zhang Ailun explained that while the new employees were still questioning the leader's arrangements, the veteran employee, Sig, had already settled down and started playing on his phone.
Using his skillful driving and engine power, the leader quickly caught up with the van and saw its taillights in the distance, but did not overtake to attract attention. He simply followed closely behind at a leisurely pace.
Following the van, we arrived in the desolate suburbs. The van slowed down, turned onto a side road, and headed towards a dilapidated factory.
To avoid attracting attention, Zhang Ailun turned the steering wheel and drove into the intersection, turned off the engine, and got out to observe the situation there.
Two pickup trucks were parked in the factory yard, a campfire was burning, and two young black men were guarding the gate.
The van stopped directly in the yard, and several black men got out and carried the bound Beggar Clan member out. He was already unconscious, and it seemed that he had been given anesthesia or other hypnotic drugs in the van.
Several people came out of the factory after hearing the noise. The leader, a burly black man wearing a gold necklace, greeted the other black men with a fist bump. After exchanging a few words, the leader had his men carry the man into the factory.
The Black men who were delivering the goods turned around and got back into their van, then drove away from another intersection.
Watching the departing vehicle, Zhang Ailun also instructed Sieg to lead his men to other locations to observe and gather intelligence.
Sig and his team were professionals, and with the help of specialized equipment, they quickly gathered intelligence about the Black Panther camp.
He returned to report to the leader: "Boss, there are more than a dozen people here, and some of them are armed, but I didn't see any heavy firepower."
Zhang Ailun pondered for a few seconds and decided to teach these black guys a lesson. He immediately had Sieg take out the VSS sniper rifle from the car. This gun was equipped with a sniper aiming system, used subsonic bullets, and had a built-in silencer, making it specifically designed for scouting.
"Try to be as quiet as possible, take out those armed black men outside the door from a distance. Sneaky over there, don't fire a shot." Zhang Ailun gestured a series of combat hand signals.
"Okay." Sig readily accepted the order, picked up the VSS sniper rifle, put on the radio headset, and took one person to find a suitable high-altitude shooting location.
"The rest of you stay here and wait. Once you receive Sig's notification, infiltrate the factory immediately and surround it. I'll follow in the car behind, leaving two people outside to provide backup. If any special circumstances arise, you can open fire to provide suppressive fire," Zhang Ailun instructed. The other Beggar Clan disciples also expressed their understanding.
Although the leader's aim was only so-so, his mind was still very clear.
Back in the armored vehicle, I felt that it wasn't very safe to engage in a firefight outside. With armored vehicles and sniper rifles, who would want to fight them face to face?
If it weren't for the fact that there were some of their own people inside, the leader would have loved to bring over a personal rocket launcher, fire a rocket at them, and raze their house to the ground!
Sorry, arms dealers are really showing off. We have plenty of weapons in our military reserves, are you envious?
Sieg carried his suitcase to a hillside and discreetly looked down at the camp below. It was drafty and open, with two black guys chatting and laughing outside, smoking cigarettes, completely unaware of the impending danger.
I opened the green military-grade box of the VSS, took out the brand-new gun, two boxes of subsonic bullets, filled the magazine, installed the aiming system, and prepared to assemble and fire it.
Sig held his breath, lay prone on the ground, set up the VSS sniper rifle, and skillfully adjusted the sniper aiming system. The top-notch henchman from the Beggars' Sect next to him also took out professional equipment to test the wind speed and distance for him, and adjusted the shooting error of the sniper to reduce it.
"What do you say, buddy? How about we go play a couple of rounds in Little Rock City next door after our shift? A big boss like me would definitely get a warm welcome. Because I not only have a big thing, but I'm also very rich!" Old Black chuckled smugly, pulling a roll of banknotes from his pocket.
"Shit! Negro! You only won some money these past two days because you got lucky. If your sister hadn't slept with Rondy, do you think you'd be here guarding the camp?" the black guy next to him said disdainfully.
"Little Rock is too unsafe. It's past midnight by the time you drive there, and the casinos are already closing. They were even robbed recently! A lot of tire shops have lost business too. It's better to go to a slum in Los Angeles and find an underground casino. You can save some money there," Blackie said.
"Okay, you're in charge." Old Hei leisurely smoked some cigarettes, chatting with them.
Sieg aimed at his head, pulled the trigger, and it went "bang!"
As he turned his head, Old Hei was still smoking his cigarette when suddenly everything went black and he collapsed to the ground.
Hearing the sound, Lao Hei turned around and saw the watermelon had blossomed. He was instantly stunned and stood there, still with a cigarette in his mouth. Before he could react, Sig, like the Grim Reaper, aimed his sniper scope at Lao Hei again.
Pull the trigger, and with a snap, Old Hei fell to the ground, barely making a sound.
Sieg continued to aim his gun, peering through the factory window to observe the situation inside. The black people inside were singing and dancing, smoking tobacco, drinking beer, and tuning the radio.
The leader reports: "Target secured. Infiltration is now possible."
Zhang Ailun received a message from Sieg and also saw that the two old black men were sleeping like babies, lying on the ground, fast asleep.
These people are really unprofessional. They're trying to act like gatekeepers, trying to play shooting tactics with professional veterans. They're definitely too green.
Immediately send men armed to infiltrate the factory, block the gate, and wipe them out.
A group of men, guns at their sides, silently infiltrated the courtyard. To be honest, it was no different from walking in openly, since the old black guards outside were gone.
The leader remained composed, staying in the armored vehicle for an extended period out of fear of death.
The armored truck was started, and the accelerator was pressed at a steady speed as it drove to the outside of the factory. After observing the situation, it was confirmed that Old Hei inside hadn't received any news and didn't even seem inclined to come out and investigate, so the driver got out of the truck with peace of mind.
With bullets loaded, they followed the guards to the factory gate, leaving two men to stand guard where Old Black was stationed.
At his signal, the Beggars' Sect disciples nearby immediately stepped forward and knocked on the factory door.
"The black man inside is about to come out and open the door. He's not carrying a gun; the weapons are all on the table," Sieg reported as he acted as a lookout.
Zhang Ailun relaxed, gripping his gun and standing still to one side. When someone opened the door from inside the factory, the person impatiently said, "WTF! What's going on outside...?"
Before he could finish speaking, the Beggars' Sect disciples rushed over and pinned him to the ground. One of them then shoved the butt of his rifle into the back of Old Black's head, making him see stars.
He knelt skillfully on Old Black's neck and pressed the gun to his forehead.
Zhang Ailun glanced up at the leader of the Beggars' Sect, but didn't even look at him. He waved his hand without turning his head, and the Beggars' Sect disciple understood. He pulled the trigger and shot him dead.
Others kicked open the door, pulled the pins on the stun grenades, and threw them inside; some even went around to the other side, climbing through the window to enter through the back door.
As soon as the explosion rang out, everyone filed in, shouting, "FBI!!!"
"Oh shit!!!"
Old Hei heard the gunshots outside and immediately sensed something was wrong. He quickly grabbed his pistol to fight back, but the stun grenade thrown in blinded him, made him dizzy, and his insides churned. He knelt on the ground, unable to stop himself from retching.
Sig fired directly. With a crack, accompanied by the sound of shattering glass, the bullet pierced through the glass and headshot the Black Panther leader inside.
Before I could even see what he looked like, his head exploded.
Then several more heavily armed men burst in and surrounded the black men completely.
Seeing the fully armed FBI agents crowding into the room, the black men panicked and quickly raised their hands, shouting, "Hey!! We surrender..."
But to their surprise, the Beggars' Sect disciples disregarded martial ethics and immediately raised their guns, opening fire on them without a word.
Rat-a-tat-tat-tat-tat!!
Old Hei was instantly riddled with bullets and collapsed in disbelief.
Zhang Ailun covered his ears and listened to the gunshots outside the door until they stopped. Only then did he slowly push the door open and enter the room. The factory was filled with smoke and the smell of gunpowder mixed with the stench of leaves.
Looking at the cocoa powder and smoldering leaves on the table, he frowned, covered his nose, and said to the still-blinded old black man, "Didn't expect that, did you? Buddy, we're not the FBI at all!"
He then pulled out his pistol and fired two more shots.
Turning his head, he saw an iron cage covered with a black cloth next to him. He gestured for the Beggars' Sect disciples to open it, and upon walking up and lifting the cloth, he found five or six people inside, both men and women. Even two of the kidnapped Beggars' Sect disciples were inside.
"I knew these guys couldn't have only done this one job," Zhang Ailun said coldly. "Those who do human trafficking are truly despicable."
"Boss, we didn't leave any survivors. What if they had some inheritance? A wife, a mistress, or something? That would be such a waste!"
"Crazy Captain Qibatu said with some regret."
Zhang Ailun glanced at him, somewhat speechless. Why did this guy seem even more sensible than Sieg?
