Sunlight streamed through the window, casting warm dappled patterns in the room. Lin Yu had just finished a call with Qi Lin, and the news about the progress of the armor's mass production made him nod slightly. His gaze shifted to the worktable, but he couldn't help but pause in surprise.

The silver-haired figure who usually loved to lounge on the sofa and say "no rush, no rush" was now standing in front of the complex star chart and data stream, his fingertips rapidly manipulating the screen, his expression one of rare focus and seriousness.

"Why didn't I see you sprawled on the sofa sleeping today?" Lin Yu approached, his tone carrying a hint of barely perceptible surprise.

He Xi turned her head at the sound, her icy blue eyes sparkling with the brilliance of a breakthrough in her research, but also mixed with a different emotion: "There have been some key breakthroughs in the research on the fifth-generation divine body, I must go back." She paused, "Later, I have to return to the Merlo Heavenly Court."

Lin Yu paused for a moment, then nodded, his tone as usual: "Okay." He turned and walked towards the kitchen, asking naturally, "What would you like to eat? I'll make it for you first, consider it... a farewell feast."

"The usual is fine." He Xi's voice came from behind, carrying her usual languidness, but it seemed a little lighter than usual.

Familiar sounds soon filled the kitchen. Lin Yu moved swiftly, seemingly no different from usual, only occasionally glancing at the busy silver figure in the living room, his eyes flickering slightly.

When the last dish was served, Lin Yu took off his apron: "Let's eat first."

"Okay," He Xi replied, turning off the light screen in front of her and walking over.

The atmosphere at the dining table was quiet, save for the soft clinking of bowls and chopsticks. He Xi glanced at Lin Yu, who was silently eating across from her, then suddenly put down her chopsticks, rested her chin on her hand, and a playful smile appeared in her eyes. "Some core data and materials are only available in the Merlo Heavenly Court's database. I have to go back to access them." She tilted her head, her tone slightly teasing, "Kid, are you... reluctant to part with me?"

Lin Yu raised his eyelids, squinted at her, and didn't say anything. He just silently put a piece of her favorite dish on his plate.

He Xi smiled and didn't press the matter further.

After the meal, He Xi stood up. Lin Yu was about to clear the dishes when he saw her walking straight towards him.

"I'm leaving now, child," He Xi said, her voice softer than usual.

Lin Yu had just straightened up and hadn't fully reacted when a warm embrace, carrying a delicate fragrance, enveloped him. He Xi's arms gently encircled him, the force light, yet carrying an indescribable solemnity.

Don't miss me too much.

She whispered this amused remark in Lin Yu's ear, then released his hand. Before Lin Yu could respond, a wormhole shimmering with light unfolded behind her. She glanced back at Lin Yu one last time, a slight smile playing on her lips, then stepped into the wormhole without hesitation.

The light and shadow distorted, and the wormhole quickly closed and disappeared, as if she had never existed.

Lin Yu stood frozen in place, maintaining his previous posture, his arm still slightly dangling. The unique, faint fragrance seemed to linger around his nose, and the brief warmth of the touch in his arms hadn't completely dissipated. He stared blankly at the empty space where He Xi had disappeared, his deep eyes churning with emotions that ultimately settled into a profound silence, from which he remained speechless for a long time. Only the faint sounds of the city outside the window and a sudden, overwhelming stillness filled the room.
