Time-traveling island

Chapter 9 The Elf Kingdom

The Frosty Mist Forest, a hundred miles outside the Elf King's City.

"Lily, you're back?"

When Olvia saw the white light appear, she knew that she had returned. She went forward to help her up, and several other waiting elven girls also gathered around.

This morning, Amberley suddenly disappeared as if she had been chosen by a summoning spell. Fortunately, she told the elves beside her before she left, otherwise they would have already reported to the Queen.

Not long ago, Amberlie returned and quickly asked the elves living in the village to give her some of their stored food, which she urgently needed.

Although the elves didn't know what she needed so much food for, they still quickly gave her some of it.

Now, Amberley has returned to the village.

"The matter is resolved."

Wearing a pristine white dress, Amberley smiled at them, took Olvia's hand, and explained, "I gave the food to those who needed it most."

"Is it human?" Guard Ai Ling suddenly asked coldly.

The surrounding elves also looked over.

The village is inhabited by female elves, all of whom are young and beautiful with slender figures. Most of them have chosen to live here, not far from the royal city, because they are tired of the conflicts of the human empire.

Therefore, when they heard Ellie mention humans, they couldn't help but show a hint of disgust.

Especially Ai Ling.

She was attacked by a human adventurer group that entered the Frosty Mist Forest, and several of her elven companions went missing as a result, which made her particularly hostile to humans.

In addition, with recent rumors circulating in the kingdom about forming an alliance with the Turan Empire, Ellie and the others became increasingly reluctant to hear any words related to humans.

"It's human."

Amber explained to Eling, "But they are not humans from this world. They come from an empire called Shun. They are suffering from famine and war and are fleeing."

Ai Ling snorted coldly and didn't say anything.

Olvia pulled Amberley to sit on a petal swing chair under the shade of a tree, and smiled gently at her, "Where have you been? We were worried you might have encountered an evil summoner."

Amberriel's guards, Ellie and Sana, sat on the ground, ready to listen to Amberriel's story. Other elves from the village, having received the news, also arrived one after another.

Although there were many people, it was not noisy. Most of the elves were just listening, but they were still surprised after hearing Amberly's story.

Many of the things Lily told were beyond what they had learned or heard in their long lives.

"A world called Earth? And a powerful summoner named Lin An..."

"No, Mr. Lin shouldn't be a summoner, and he doesn't know magic either."

Amberlie said, recalling the power Lin An had displayed.

Olvia didn't delve into the matter further, and instead asked her, "Do you plan to lead us to move to that island to live?"

Hearing this, Eling, who had previously been very hostile to humans, did not object, seemingly respecting Amberley's decision.

"No, I haven't made a decision yet, and I haven't become a princess. It's too early to say that I'm leading my people away."

Amberley explained.

An elf said, "It is time to be more cautious before making a decision. I think Lily, you should go and see the Queen and ask for her opinion."

"I was just about to go."

Amberlie stood up from the swing, her tall and slender figure making her stand out even among the graceful elves.

Her two guards, Ai Ling and Sana, also stood up, ready to escort her to the royal city.

"I'll go with you," Olvia said, standing up.

A delegation from the orc kingdom arrived a few days ago, intending to persuade the elves, tree spirits, and druids living in the Frostmist Forest to join forces against the human kingdom. The forest is already in turmoil.

The four were quickly ready. Amberley called out softly and melodiously into the distance. In no time, a snow-white beast with a single horn on its forehead leaped out from the mountain waterfall and flew toward her with its four hooves treading on the air.

Amberley smiled, stroked the head of the snow-white beast, and after it crouched down, she mounted it and headed towards the Elven capital with Olvia and the other two.

……

Just as Amberel entered the royal city, a delegation was also heading to the palace to pay homage to the Elf Queen.

"This is... a unicorn that only exists in mythology?!"

Within the delegation, a handsome young man, dressed in fine robes and with a long sword at his waist, watched this scene in astonishment:

A unicorn, symbolizing holiness, nobility, and purity, is ridden by a woman with a divine appearance, draped in a white cloak. Holy radiance envelops her and the unicorn as they speed along, leaving behind star-like specks of light.

A fleeting glimpse was enough to leave the young man stunned.

Not only him, but everyone in the delegation who saw the elven girl riding a unicorn up the white jade steps into the palace were stunned, as if they had been under a spell.

"She is... the future elven princess, Amberriel!"

After a long while, someone finally called out her name.

The so-called future elven princess refers to Amberlie being a potential heir to the throne. The elven throne is not passed down to children, but to a young elf recognized by most elves.

Only after becoming the heir can one be called a princess or a prince.

"So she was Amberley, the moon goddess's favorite, the incarnation of the goddess of beauty."

Some people realized that Amberel's beauty had already spread among several human countries through the mouths of some caravans and bards.

But those who had never seen her regarded it as mere idle gossip, an exaggeration by wandering poets and merchants.

It wasn't until they saw Amberel's beauty with their own eyes that they understood that the bards' praise of her as the moon goddess's favorite was not an exaggeration.

"She's a high elf?"

The young man asked an old man beside him in a low voice, and the old man replied with a smile, "To gain the approval of a unicorn from mythology, her bloodline, even if not that of a high elf, is very close."

In the Elf Kingdom, half-elves make up the majority, pure-blooded elves are already very rare, and as for high elves, legend has it that their bloodline contains the magic of the World Tree, enabling them to unleash incredible innate magic, making them an extremely rare and powerful bloodline!

"If I could marry her..."

The young man gazed at the elven palace atop the mountain and murmured to himself.

Everyone in the delegation knew the truth.

The fourth prince is only the third in line to the throne, and he doesn't have many supporters. This mission to the Elf Kingdom is also the fourth prince's way of trying to make a name for himself or to get the help of the Elf race in order to ascend the throne.

"Since she is a high elf, why hasn't she been made a princess yet?" the fourth prince asked again, frowning.

The old man glanced around before explaining, "Among the elven elders, half-elves occupy seven seats."

The fourth prince nodded knowingly.

Half-elves are mostly descendants of elves and humans, whose bloodlines are not pure, but they are the most numerous.

The entire elven kingdom is now mostly controlled by half-elves!
