America: Starting with the Last Liberty

Chapter 11 Carnivorous Type

Svefa suddenly stood up, grabbed Rosen's hand, and placed it on her own body.

Wow! It really is...!

While she was still in a daze, Svefa's face revealed a sly smile. She then looked at Rosen's body and saw a horrifying scene.

"How could this be...?"

Svefa's voice brought Rosen back to his senses. He squeezed his hand briefly before quickly pulling it back.

"Ms. Svefa, you can't do things like this!"

The beautiful female boss rolled her eyes. From his subtle actions just now, she had confirmed that Rosen was indeed interested in her, but he had some concerns.

"Really? Then why did you pinch me so hard just now?"

"An instinctive reaction! An instinctive reaction! It's just that this reaction is rather frightening!"

"Hmph! That's quite scary!"

Svefa looked at Rosen's face and licked her lips; it was clear she was a carnivorous woman.

Extremely dangerous, yet extremely tempting!

Rosen tried very hard to steer the conversation back to the main point, but Sweefer always managed to easily steer it off course.

However, Svefa also knew that some things couldn't be rushed, so she eventually returned to the topic at hand.

"Rosen, you said you wanted information, what kind of information is it?"

Sure enough, Sanjiviki was indeed in the intelligence business!

"I want to investigate a man named Rupert Lawrence, who works as the security chief at the Pacific Standard Bank in the suburbs."

"Um?"

Rosen thought Svefa hadn't heard him clearly, so he tried to repeat himself, but was interrupted by the beautiful boss.

"That's it? I thought you were going to investigate some big shot, but it turns out you're just a lowly security guard. Alright, come find me tomorrow night to get the information, and bring ten thousand US dollars in cash. Some rules can't be broken."

"We can get the intelligence tomorrow?"

"Of course! Do you think this little security guard is President America? This nobody could dig up details like how many times he masturbated during his adolescence in a single day!"

Although Svefa's words were somewhat exaggerated, Rosen could still sense the strong confidence in her.

It seems this woman's background is indeed extraordinary.

"Then I'll come again tomorrow night."

With that, Rosen got up to leave the office.

"Rosen, are you leaving already? Won't you have another drink?"

Svefa's posture as she lay on the boss's chair was incredibly alluring, and the fair skin exposed beneath her cool nightgown made Rosen's mouth go dry.

However, when he thought about the other party's powerful background, Rosen calmed down.

"Let's drink this tomorrow night."

After leaving the Sangevik Bar and letting the night breeze blow over him, Rosen finally felt some relief from the intense heat he was experiencing.

$5000 for a car, $15000 for system information, plus the $10000 we just agreed on, and in less than a day I've already spent $30,000. This money just flows like water!

Not to mention that the subsequent preparations will likely cost money.

"Fuck, Rupert Lawrence's intelligence should be worth at least $10000!"

With that, Rosen got into his newly bought secondhand Dodge Viper and drove towards his apartment.

I got home early today, before 9 o'clock. Many of the residents in the apartment were still awake, and I could hear a lot of strange noises.

However, just as Rosen opened his own door, Mrs. Gaines across the street also opened her door.

"Rosen, you're back?"

The person who opened the door was Blake, and through the open door, one could hear that Mrs. Gaines was probably watching America's popular soap opera.

"Yes, I just got off work."

In a sense, Rosen had indeed just finished a day's work, although the job was not quite what most people imagined.

Blake looked enlightened, his deep blue eyes blinking as he looked at Rosen's face.

"So you were in such a rush to leave this afternoon because of work! And you were dressed so formally, was that your work uniform?"

"Yes, my job requires me to dress formally."

The bulletproof suit was indeed Rosen's work uniform.

"Um, I have something I want to talk to you about, about some things that happened at noon. Can I come to your house and we can discuss it?"

Rosen's expression turned strange.

At this time, if a pretty girl says she wants to go to your house, it's somewhat ambiguous.

"That's possible, but my house might be a bit messy..."

Blake chuckled.

"I'm prepared for a boy's room! But I doubt your place is covered in Playboy magazines or San Fernando Valley DVDs, is it?"

As expected of America, she actually said it so directly!

Although a slight blush appeared on Blake's fair cheeks after he said those words.

"Of course not! Come in!"

If we don't invite Blake in directly at this point, it will be difficult to explain.

So Rosen stepped aside, helped Blake hop into his house, and closed the door behind him.

Blake curiously looked around Rosen's room; this was probably the first time she had ever entered a boy's room.

This brings us to Blake's unusual family situation. Because of Ray Gaines's work, Mrs. Gaines never had a second child.

This is relatively rare in America's case.

American women either choose to be childless and have no children at all, or they have a large family, starting with two, and possibly three or four.

Many American women believe that having only one child will make the child feel lonely during childhood, so they want to have several children to keep them company.

"So, I don't think I have any of those things you mentioned, do I?"

Rosen's house was actually quite tidy because he didn't like to touch things around the house and liked to put tools back in their original place after using them.

It's just some takeout food that's been eaten and then forgotten that's eye-catching; there's nothing else random.

Blake blinked and looked at Rosen slyly.

"Who knows if you've been hiding that kind of thing? I've heard other girls say that some guys hide it and only take it out when they need it!"

As he spoke, Blake began sniffing around like a hound, but the only scents in the room were Rosen's and a faint smell of smoke.

The mixed smells amused Blake, and she had an urge to inhale them all at once, but thankfully she restrained herself from such an impolite thought.

Rosen helped Blake sit on the sofa, then took out a chilled bottle of soda from the refrigerator and handed it to him.

"So, Sheriff Blake Gaines, what exactly do you want to see me about?"

The title "sheriff" made Blackle speak up; she felt that Rosen's words always made her happy.

"Here's the thing, my dad has decided to give my mom a surprise, so he hopes you won't mention to her that you ran into him at noon."

Just for this?

Rosen looked at the black-haired girl opposite him with a strange expression. It seemed that Blake had come to find trouble for no reason.

Blake felt a little uneasy under Rosen's gaze, but fortunately Rosen quickly responded.

"No problem."

(Blake Gaines)
