Hearing those words from Derik, both Lucien and the Creed pillar were stunned and confused. They knew Derik wasn't bluffing when he spoke about the inheritance, meaning he already deciphered the secrets of this room. They all felt tensed as they gazed at Derik in silence, hoping he would explain more about his understanding of the paintings.

"In my world, there is what we call the core of the god vein… There the world's inheritance is hidden… From there the real power of the new gods is acquired and the absolute beings are created… This is that door! And from everything I know, I can tell that you shouldn't be here" Derik said with a bright smile as he pointed at the creed pillar.

"What do you mean? If there are inheritances for new gods, then the inheritance belonging to the demon kin should be there as well!" The creed pillar said and Derik nodded in agreement, leaving him even more dumbfounded.

"The creed pillars are the product of a sealed artifact and not cultivation! Your power was granted to you… You did not cultivate to reach this level… This gate does not recognize you as a cultivator and that's why it remains shut tight… Since there is no other way out… The only way is forward and that means you have to die" Derik said coldly as his aura slowly gathered around him as he grew claws, fangs, and fur.

Hearing this everyone was stunned, including Lucien who didn't even consider this. Judging based on the stunning expression the Creed pillars face, it was clear that Derik wasn't lying and had somehow discerned the true source of their power! But how could he tell within his first contact with the creed? Is it an educated guess or just him rambling about the crazy theories in his head?

Bone-breaking sounds could be heard as Derik could be seen struggling and gritting his teeth in pain! He staggered as his clothes tore and his hands and legs twisted in ways it shouldn't! Unlike his former world, he never had to go through this much pain just for a single transformation!

Derik dropped to the ground on all fours after transforming into a massive darkish green-furred magic beast with bright green eyes. It was over eight feet tall with a large build and a ferocious aura that could make even the bravest men feel unsure of themselves! Seeing Derik in his Lycan form, even Lucien was slightly terrified and he instinctively took a step back. It was like a massive wolf staring down on an average-sized human!

"Forgive me but I have no hard feelings… I just don't wish to waste more time before consuming my second inheritance and becoming a peak existence!" Derik half growled when he spoke, making the enemy tremble!

The creed pillar took some steps back and suddenly stopped. His eyes turned pure white and countless mana circuits appeared all over his body, making Derik frown and Lucien retreat to Derik's side. Right now they secretly prayed this is not what they were thinking and they hoped they won't be dragged into another intense battle again!

Derik had no intentions of letting the creed leader completely take over the body of the enemy before striking so he charged forward. With his massive claws laced with death aura, Derik struck at the enemy with pure killing intentions but his attack was met with a bright silver barrier and even though the enemy was sent flying, he was not damaged by Derik's death aura!

Bang!

The Creed pillar crashed into the crystal stairs but did not utter a sound of pain or fear. he remained down for a second or two before rising to his feet like a puppet pulled up with strings.

"To think one of my puppets would actively resist my God's descent, you must have told him, I am the reason his brother died? That is the only reason I can think of" The Creed leader said with a calm voice that irritated Derik and made him growl, yet the man maintained the amused look on his face.

"I hate your voice" Derik remained calm as he slowly approached the man who chuckled in response.

"You knew about this place and never planned on letting him gain the inheritance… Using the god's descent you can attain your seeker inheritance without your body coming here" Lucien said as he notice the massive door opening and Derik frowned.

He finally understood why the creed put in so much manpower to protect this operation! If this man can attain his inheritance, not only will his injuries be cured but he will transcend into the god realm! There is no way, Derik is letting him pass.

"For the sake of the creed! Everything I do is for the sake of the creed and this continent… why do you all fail to understand this?" The creed leader asked but Deri ignored it and summoned a massive bone gate the block the open entrance into the god vein core!

Seeing this the Creed commander frowned. It was obvious Derik and Lucien were not listening and judging from their aura, the creed leader knew he was just about a few seconds from getting attacked by these two[

"You sincerely pick a violent option over a peaceful one?" The man asked Lucien who snorted in response.

"This is the only option" Lucien said as the azure dragon spear in his hands vanished and was replaced by powerful bolts of black lightning surging dangerously.

"Do you really think you have a chance against me?!!" The creed leader growled as he kept his eyes on the two figures circling him.

"If even if for a single moment you assumed we were going all out on you back there, then you are the fool here" Derik growled lightly as he circled the enemy.

"None of that matters! You barely defeated me when I had a statue body but now I have the body of a human with the champion realm cultivation, you will know soon!
