Pale Flesh

Aiden stood in front of the bathroom mirror, examining his strange new body. His marble pale skin and blood red eyes stared back at him, foreign and unfamiliar. He felt hungry but nothing smelled appetizing.

He goes to kitchen to find something to eat. The flashing red light in his vision kept getting brighter. On his status screen his hunger level kept increasing by the minute. It was now HUNGER- 78% (approaching danger level)ⓘ

There was a flashing info symbol.

So Aiden clicked on it.

ⓘIf hunger level reaches 90%, brain functions will diminish and host will only rely on instinct to hunt. Host loses total control until hunger level is back to a safe level.

Aiden starts panicking a little after reading the information That was his greatest fear Not having control.

He walked to the kitchen and grabbed a leftover sandwich from the fridge. He took a big bite but immediately gagged, his stomach rejecting the taste and texture. He rushed to the sink and vomited violently.

Chunks of bread and meat came up, mixed with bile and stomach acid.

The smell made him nauseous but also seemed to awaken something primal within.

Aiden's hunger grew stronger, an all-consuming void. His thoughts became clouded, instincts taking over. A hologram appeared before him, displaying a mission:

"An eye for an eye"

Aiden registered the words distantly as if through a fog. His body trembled with need. The hologram faded but a new sense had awakened within - the scent of prey. 

A metallic tang filled the air, carrying the scent of warm blood on the breeze. Aiden's new predatory instincts took over as he followed the  blood trail, stalking his target like the brute he had become.

Aiden's mind felt empty save for one burning desire - to find his prey. A map appeared before him, showing a blinking red dot indicating his target's location.  His newly acquired bloodhound skills kicked in as scents on the air led him straight towards the dot.

The man looked up at Aiden in horror, recognition flashing across his face. Aiden's blood red eyes bore into him as he whispered: "Found you."

With reflexes too swift to follow, Aiden struck - sinking his new teeth into the man's throat. Warm blood flooded his mouth, awakening savage yearnings within as he feasted on his prey, fulfilling his gruesome mission.
