Paying The Price

Ronin torsed and turned on his bed, he couldn't get his mind off tonight's dinner. Things apparently did not go well for himself and Wayne.

Especially Wayne, everything he did and said put him on the negative side.

Ronin wasn't bothered about Wayne but concerned for his safety. Ronin was Wayne's whipping boy, he was either made to do extra work or impossible activities, he didn't want to take responsibility for tonight's predicament.

The company's review meeting would be held tomorrow morning and with Wayne's personality, they could be trapped there till the next morning. Tonight was special for Ronin, as a major investor of a new movie a meeting with the director, script writer and other investors would be held at Club D.

A luxurious, vibrant bar with great drinks selection and s.e.xy waitress, somewhere Ronin couldn't afford to miss. Determined to attend the meeting, he came up with a plan.

Diana was a tough case to win so his only hope was to get the little girl to like Wayne. He reached out to his phone and googled 'what do little girls like', taking down notes he searched for a while, exacting himself for a successful plan.

Satisfied with his effort, he put on a jacket and headed for Wayne's house.

At his arrival, he was told by Butler Fredrick that Wayne was in his study room.

Ronin held his heart in his hands, praying for success he knocked before entering.

"Umm, Bro, I um....." Ronin felt something was off, Wayne doesn't smoke but the air was stuffy. 'Oh come on, I thought you'll be cool by now.'

Ronin just walked in after Wayne's conversation with Leon, obviously a wrong timing.

"What do you want?" Wayne asked with anger in his voice.

Ronin was about to retreat when the thought of Club D popped up 'No turning back, you can do this, think of the hotties, think of the hotties...' Ronin encouraged himself and boldly spoke.

"I came up with a plan to win your daughter's heart, here's a list of things little girls like, with this am sure that she'll see you good side and run to your arms calling you daddy. It's a ticket to gain Diana's favor you know...."

Wayne watched his brother blabber, he knew Ronin was indirectly asking for something, why would he help him without any gain.

"What do you want?" Wayne asked a second time keeping a straight face.

"Your happiness, of course."

Wayne slightly lifted his brow at Ronin's answer.

"OK ok, tomorrow is the review meeting and if you're like this we may never leave....."

"Straight to the point." Wayne interrupted.

"I have an appointment in Club D by 6 pm tomorrow." Ronin said with a neutral face.

"You can go."

"Really?! I mean thanks.... wait you're not going to extend the review meeting...."

"Get out before I change my mind."

"Oh yeah....here you'll still need this." Ronin left his research on the table then ran off.

Wayne stood from his sit and walked up to the table, picking up the paper he studied it's content, he frowned.

Even his stupid brother came up with an idea while he's blank.

He really did stink in family issues.
