Paying The Price

"Gabriel do yourself a favor and shut up!" Ronin exclaimed.

"What? It's true." Gabriel defended himself for stating the fact.

"Yeah, but you don't have to rub it on his face. You were also stupid in your words when you convinced him into retrieving the weapon, now look what happened."

"Hold a second, are you saying the girl missing was my fault."

Ronin and Gabriel quarrled behind Wayne, but he couldn't hear them.

He kept staring at the direction Diana and Pearl left with Zach, it was like watching a movie with a bad ending. He was completely lost, everything around him turned mute, the sound of cars, people and even the birds and wind were unheard by him.

Felix horned to get their attention, he was sent for at the last minute to come pick them up but from the looks of events he was sure something went wrong. The guys arguing and the lost Wayne made it easy for him deduce that whatever it was it must have something to do with Diana.

Today was sure to be hell.

After making a new discovery, Felix's heart almost failed him for he knew the consequences would be sever.

But Felix felt he was forgetting something.

Leon sat on the shot gun seat while Wayne and Gabriel headed for the back. Opening the doors, a brown folder was found on the sit. Wayne was still pissed off about today, so he didn't pay attention to the folder, but Gabriel's attention was caught by the words written on it.

It indicated that it was from the court and to Wayne.

"You're having issues with the court." The car swayed a little, Felix had lost his balance when he heard Gabriel's words.

Wayne looked up at the nervous Felix then picked up the folder and drew out it's files.

The contents of the files requested the presence of Wayne at the court concerning a divorce.

"What the....!" Gabriel caught some few words from the files that made him understand what it was all about.

"When did this happen?! I mean we literally just see her leave, like just a couple of minutes ago?" Did Diana prepare this before hand then the incident just came at the very right time, Gabriel wasn't able to comprehend what the hell just happened.

"What's wrong with you?" Leon was annoyed by Gabriel exclamating unceasingly, like the guy just didn't know when to shut up.

"What is this?" Wayne roared like a lion, extending his hand with the files he asked Felix in rage.

Since the beginning she had uttered the word 'divorce', he gave the order that no lawyer in Titan city should take up her case, although she wasn't aware of it.

Felix didn't know how to answer as the temperature in the car became terrifying.
