Paying The Price

Felix wasn't planning on taking the blame for something he didn't do, he was aware of the queer and strange relationship between Wayne and Fiona. He may not know their beginnings and why Wayne tolerated her even though he has no romantic feelings for her or any feelings at all, but he knows for sure that Wayne would hardly ever do something to hurt her.

The only time he retaliated was because of Diana and that was after allowing Fiona to have her way for a very long time.

What would happen now if he knew Fiona was behind it?

Well it wasn't Felix's problem. Fiona had a higher chance of survival than him.

"A lawyer named Tom Finders took up the divorce case and he's not from here, he's from Cambridge." Felix nervously explained briefly. Working for Wayne for more than six years Felix knew taking things slow was the best option, if he spills informations out quickly he could also get into trouble.

"Cambridge? Where did Diana get the money to hire him? And that quickly?" Leon said.

Diana may be a billionaires wife, however she never did have any connections to pull such a large string and she didn't have much on her when she left.

Leon would know this cause he ran some investigations after she left four years ago, he found out that she even had to take a job. So hiring a lawyer from Cambridge was impossible unless someone else did for her. "But the sounds familiar." He added.

Leon wasn't the only one who thinks someone hired Tom for Diana "Is this Zach's doing?" Wayne's voice was getting deeper and colder.

"No, .....Fiona." Felix said 'Fiona' in an almost whispered tone. His stomach ached as he said her name.

The guys were all surprised, "Fiona? As in the bossy, Miss arrogant daughter of the Linemans' Fiona?" asked Gabriel.

The guys weren't oblivious to the fact that Fiona wanted to be Mrs Grand but this was just astonishing.

What a bold step she took.

No wonder the name sounded familiar. Tom was actually Fiona's lawyer but they never bothered to know where he's from.

Wayne was taken back, he wasn't sure how to react. He looked at the rear view mirror and Leon's side face shown had a dissapointed look on as he bite his lips.

Wayne knew how Leon felt right now, cause he felt the same. Internal heat rose inside him and a stinging pain that hurt so badly. Wayne sighed and fell back on the chair, he didn't want to hurt Fiona but had just broken the thin wall holding his restraint. She had no right to come between him and Diana, he wouldn't let the past affect his only bright future, he wouldn't let it hunt him like Leon again, he would break free and what happened before was no longer of concern to him anymore.

Diana and Pearl are his priority now.

The ride back home was a silent one as everyone aboard had different anxieties, questions and concerns.
