Paying The Price

Wayne saw this coming, the planned attack and great effort those men used to try and kidnap Pearl left a seed of expectation in his heart.

This time he wouldn't let them get away, he wouldn't leave his family unless he was an idiot again.

He was fully prepared for both sides.

Wayne never belittled New York's incident, it was constantly on his mind. And because of that he personally went to the kids fashion home and specially picked a simple yet beautiful hair pin for his daughter, he gave it to a professional scientist then had it delivered by his sister Kayla. Wayne sincerely hopped she had it on.

In a hurried paste, he pulled out a tab from his safe, called out to his assistant and had everyone go home.

All the black eyed employees silently watched their boss exist the building, normally they would have cheered but his looks, aura and body movement gave out a sign that something was wrong.

It was a Sunday and they were at work, instead of being happy that they were sent home, they all m.o.a.n.e.d for what was yet to come.

"You put a tracking device on your daughter?!" Leon exclaimed in disbelief.

Wayne viciously glared at him, his eyes were so gloomy and tired but not for once had his actions showed a sign of fatigue.

"On a normal circ.u.mstances that would be wrong but I guess it was a good thing you did." 'What a father you turned out to be.' Leon thought.

"But why is it loading so slowly?" Gabriel who was also present asked.

Wayne wasn't one known for answering such questions but he answered him anyway "It's far away and it has to be careful not to attract anyone or anything while sending the signal. The tracker is also very small you can't see it with your eyes." He stopped but a thought came to his mind, turning to Leon's direction he asked "Why is Nikki in your house?"

"Something happened." Leon said bluntly.

Leon bit his lips, he didn't want to say but had no reason not to "Someone sent some punks to **** her." The word '****' was said beneath his breath. "And all indications are pointing to...."

"Sarah?" Gabriel interfered.

"Would you let me talk."

"Has she called you yet?" Wayne asked

"No. I called the caretaker and she said she's asleep."

"What are you gonna do about it?" The sudden question from Wayne through his off. Leon knew he was referring to Sarah who tried to destroy Nikki.

"I'm gonna approach her I think..."

"You think?" Gabriel shot.

"What is your problem?" Leon was not appreciating Gabriel's interference.

Leon also saw using Sarah's action against Nikki as a way to get rid of her, although it may not be that easy. In the abandoned house last night, he picked up the boss' phone and fortunately it was a finger print lock. In his house, he tried to find a message but it had a password so he sorted to checking on all the numbers and a familiar number was stored with 'MSK', which could likely mean 'Miss Sarah King.'

In the midst of the silence a 'Beep' was heard.

"They're on a plane and it's headed to Spain." Wayne looked at man on his left and at the man on his right "Pack your bag we're going on a trip."
