Paying The Price

Ronin panted heavily as he raced towards them, he stopped to catch his breath when he got near. Wayne was really impatient, he didn't want to spare anytime for further delays. He glared at his brother urging him with his eyes to speak quickly.

Taking in some airs Ronin explained himself "So I tried to investigate more about Zach but ended up with nothing but for the past three days I've been doing a face scan and I got this." He raised up his tab at them, on the screen Zach's face displayed. Ronin continued his explanation "Zach Turner isn't Zach, he is Brian Goodman. I tried to dig some information about this Brian but just like the Zach's profile, I didn't get much."

Ronin paused and looked at the faces of all present "Doesn't Goodman ring a bell?" Although he looked at everyone, his question was actually directed to the guys "I'm trying to investigate more but Brian's profile leads nothing to his family, so it's difficult to know much. It could take some time to get something but with your sudden departure I thought maybe you will need....."

"Greg Goodman." In a low and almost whispered tone Wayne interrupted Ronin. This time with a tone of approval he said to his little brother "You did well."

"Who knew your dumb brain could come up with something brilliant." Sneered Nikki.

It then hit Ronin that Nikki was the hot female in their midst. With her all black attire and her slightly pale skin, Ronin didn't recognize her. She appeared weak but s.e.xy "What are you doing here?"

"And you're back to being dumb again. You can't explain what you see now."

'You're also back to being yourself again.' Leon thought. Any girl who suffered the same experience she did last night may take at least a week to recover but Nikki was quick to push last night behind her acting like such thing never happened. Leon could see she was indeed a strong woman, so different from Sarah.

Really different.

Just yesterday she seemed so vulnerable but now she was herself again not letting anything stop her from from finding her sister. Admiration filled Leon's eyes, he couldn't help but fall more in love with her. That's how a woman should be, weak yet strong.

"You can't just jump into the plane, Wayne would never let you."

Nikki pursed her lips in mockery before replying Ronin "He already did."

"What....." He couldn't believe his ears, Ronin had begged Wayne on the phone to tag along, only a beep answered him, he also wasn't oblivious to what happened to Pearl so why would Wayne allow Nikki to go with them.

Ronin could only watch them board the plane and ascended the sky.

"Greg Goodman?" Leon contemplated "He works for Henry Black."

"If 'Zach' is his son, and they are after Diana, does that mean that Diana is related to Henry?" Gabriel may not be in their line of business but as a friend of both Wayne and Leon he was a little familiar with these people. "How come you didn't know this about Diana?" Gabriel questioned Wayne.
