Paying The Price

Nikki walked to the drivers door, ready for a fight, she demanded for the door to be opened. Slowly and gracefully, Ronin rolled down the window showing off a s.e.xy smile, he was delighted to see the shock on Nikki's face. "Well look.. ow." Nikki's bag ceased his words as she angrily attacked him, constantly hitting him with her bag. "Basterd it's even, you brainless idiot, are you trying to kill me?"

"If I was, I would have done that a long time ago." Ronin got down from the car while trying to block her bag from hitting his face, but didn't forget to check on the boss, surprisingly he was still calm.

"Did you put stones in there, why is so hard?" Ronin complained.

"Your stupid face is harder, look what you've done to my bag." Nikki pointed at the little dent on her bag.

The traffic light turned green, other cars horned signaling the BMW to move away from the road, but after studying the plate number, they subsequently took the other way.

Ronin scanned Nikki's appearance "Where you're going dressed like that?"

"Why would I tell you?" She scorned.

"Just wandering where you're gonna deceive people that you're decent when you are aggressive."

"Am only aggressive to brainless animals like you."

"Well it's not everyday you meet a hot brainless animal."

"....."

"I lose brain cells talking to you." Nikki remarked.

"Anyway, how's sister-in-law?" Ronin asked neglecting her statement.

"Don't call her that."

"Isn't she married to my brother?" Raising his brow he asked her.

Nikki smacked her lips "Not for long." Then turned to leave.

Ronin frozen on the spot, before regaining his senses she had already walked quiet a distance "Wait, what do you mean 'not for long'?" He yelled after her but no response was given.

Eventually when Ronin got into the car, he felt a chill run down his spine, he tried to lower the air conditioner but realized the cold air wasn't from the air conditioner. 'Sh*t!, no wonder he was so calm, he was waiting for an information about Diana, who would know that stupid.... sh*t.' Swearing and cursing inside, Ronin turned on the heater, not daring to look at Wayne he drove rapidly to the site.

At the site. Architects, engineers and other big shots, were all prepared for Wayne's arrival. A BMW suddenly appeared, blowing dust in the air, they all took their positions when the back door flung open.

"Good morning Mr Gra..."

"Do over." Wayne interrupted them, as he walked towards the sea.

"Wha...!!!" They weren't doughty enough to continue.

Suddenly, the front door was opened and a shivering Ronin stepped out, his predicament ceased them all as they panickingly returned to organise another proposal.

Wayne watched the turbulence of the sea as he contemplated on Nikki's words 'She won't be mine for long....., but forever.' he resolute.

Mr and Mrs Gomez patiently explained to Diana her job and her requirements. At the end of the tour they had a little chat.

"We are trilled to have you work here, but are you sure you want to be a waitress?, we have other positions you can occupy." Mrs Gomez said with concern.

"Am good with been a waitress." Diana replied back.

"You know, the fact that you're Mrs Grand and...."

"Don't worry about that, no one would know, I mean for now, and I promise it won't cause trouble." Diana quickly explained to Mr Gomez

"Alright then, if you have any issues please speak to Gwen." Mr Gomez was referring to Gwen Jacobs, the manager. Hailey's parents had another coffee shop at a more strategic location closer to big companies, where workers would stop for breakfast and even lunch. They both managed that coffee shop while Gwen, their niece, handled here. Gwen was the only worker that knew of Diana's identity as Mrs Grand.

Diana was grateful to Mr and Mrs Gomez for allowing her work here and also babysit her daughter too. After leaving the shop, Diana turned to Hailey "Thanks for accompanying me, hope there won't be any problems at work."

"Nah, I already applied for a leave so no problem, anyway what are we going to do now. I call for shopping." Hailey said excitedly.

"All right, this one is on me but we ain't buying much OK."

"Okay." Hailey agreed with Diana.

Later that evening.

"Are you sure you don't want to come."

"No! am busy preparing for my new job and besides I can't stand Madam Edna don't even mention that idiotic Ronin." Nikki was going to comply with Diana's urge.

Diana was dressed in a beautiful black gown embroidered with a white lace, Evelyn bought her the gown some days after her wedding, it was more than five years but the gown fitted her perfectly and it looked new as she had only worn it twice. Pearl also had a black gown on with some white patterns, her black hair fell down to her waist, she also had a zibera strip hair band on.The mother and daughter pair were extremely stunning.
