Because of the futuristic design of the Earth Emperor armor, he was not identified as an enemy.

But when asked his name, he remained silent for a long time before revealing his title.

Kamen Rider Orga!

And so began his life of living and fighting monsters, hoping that some villain or knight might one day cause trouble and intrude into this world, giving him a chance to leave.

Not long after.

A golden light that shouldn't have been there suddenly struck the office of the Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigation Division, landing on the arrogant, awkward man who always had rules on his mind.

Toru Hojo.

...

On a rainy night, the lights were still on in the office of the Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigative Division.

The raindrops pattered against the windowpane, their rhythmic patter masking the subtle unease within the office. Hojo Toru sat at his desk, pen in hand, organizing case files. He wore a crisp police uniform, his tie impeccably tied, his brows sharp, his eyes piercing, radiating a cold, unapproachable aura.

As an elite detective in the First Investigation Division, Toru Hojo has always been a role model for the Metropolitan Police Department. He doesn't rely on personal connections or relationships, but only on his meticulous mind and accurate marksmanship. He despises all opportunism and looks down on the G3 team's approach of "fighting monsters with iron armor."

In his eyes, Hikawa Makoto was a hothead who only knew how to act recklessly, Ozawa Sumiko was a madwoman obsessed with experiments, and the G3 armor was nothing but a pile of flashy but impractical scrap metal.

"This is really troublesome." Hojo Toru frowned, looking at the support request sent by Team G3 on the table, and casually tossed it aside. "The procedures are not in compliance with regulations, and the process is incomplete. The First Investigation Division has no obligation to cooperate with this half-baked team."

He had barely finished speaking when a burning pain suddenly shot through his fingertips.

Hojo Toru suddenly lowered his head, his pupils contracting sharply.

He felt something burning beneath his skin. His body temperature soared instantly, a subtle, burning pain shot through his bones, and countless whispers exploded in his mind, as if something was about to burst from his flesh and blood, break through his body, and shatter all his control.

"What is that?" Hojo Toru forcefully pushed the restless power back into his body.

He burst into the bathroom and rushed to the mirror.

The man in the mirror still had that arrogant look, his police uniform was crisp and his face was cold, but deep in his eyes was a fear that even he himself was unaware of.

He is Toru Hojo, an elite detective in the Metropolitan Police Department, a man who stands on reason and rules. He controls everything, anticipates everything, and will never allow anything out of control or unknown to appear in his life.

But this power is unfamiliar, strange, and uncontrollable.

“Monster…” Hojo Toru gritted his teeth, looking at himself in the mirror, his voice hoarse.

He subconsciously equated this force with the unknown killers on the street.

They are all monsters, things that shouldn't exist.

The rain was still falling. Hojo Toru walked out of the Metropolitan Police Department, without getting into a police car or contacting anyone. He simply wandered aimlessly through the rainy night streets. The rain soaked his hair, which clung to his forehead. The cold rain calmed him slightly, but the power of light within him still stirred restlessly, as if calling to him, as if urging him to accept his fate.

Lin Chen held up a black umbrella and leaned against the streetlight at the alley entrance, watching Hojo Toru's distraught appearance.

That is the power of light of Agito, the light of hope that fights against the power of darkness and protects humanity.

But in Hojo Toru's eyes, this was a curse, a stain, and the root cause of his transformation into a monster.

He didn't want to accept it, much less become a Warrior of Light.

Hojo Toru's escape began from this moment.

He began to deliberately avoid anything related to Unknown or the G3 team.

He buried himself in endless police work, handling theft cases, fights, civil disputes, and even the most trivial matters, all personally. He numbed himself with his busy work and wrapped himself in cold rules and regulations.

He was afraid of becoming a monster, afraid of being discovered for his abnormality, and afraid that his proud life would be completely shattered by this sudden beam of light.

Lin Chen watched him evade time and time again, watching him trap himself in the shell of an "ordinary criminal police officer," and sighed softly.

Running away never solves problems.

The unknown fangs will not be sheathed just because he tries to escape.

The destiny of the power of light will not dissipate because of his resistance.

This power will eventually push him to the battlefield.

...

The only place where Hojo Toru could let down his guard and put on a facade was the small flower shop on the street corner.

The flower shop is called "Sunny Flower Shop." It's a small shop with a cozy atmosphere, filled with the sweet fragrance of fresh flowers. The owner is a girl named Nao Morikawa, in her early twenties. She has shallow dimples when she smiles, and her eyes curve into crescent moons, like the warmest sunshine in spring.

Nao met Hojo Toru a month ago. That day, her flower shop was being harassed by some thugs, and Hojo Toru happened to be patrolling by. Without saying a word, he stepped in and resolved the problem. He didn't put on airs like a detective, and without saying anything extra, he simply said coldly, "It's alright," and turned to leave.

Nao remembered this tough-talking but soft-hearted detective.

From then on, every day when Hojo Toru passed by the flower shop, Nao would hand him a cup of hot coffee; when he worked overtime until late at night, Nao would bring him warm milk to the entrance of the Metropolitan Police Department; when he was in a bad mood, Nao would quietly stay by his side without asking any questions, and simply hand him a small bouquet of sunflowers.

"Mr. Hojo may look fierce, but he's actually very gentle." Nao held a bunch of sunflowers and handed them to Toru Hojo with a sweet smile.

Hojo Toru awkwardly turned his face away, his ears turning slightly red. He reached out and took the flower, his tone still cold and hard: "...Mind your own business."

But he would pass by the flower shop on time every day, accept the drink Nao offered, and stand a little longer at the flower shop entrance when he got off work.

In front of Nao, he was not that arrogant elite detective, nor that anomaly with monstrous power hidden within him, but just an ordinary man who could get tired and whose heart could flutter.

This is his only safe haven, his last sanctuary from the power of light.

He became increasingly dependent on this warmth and increasingly afraid of losing it.

The power of light accumulated within him, becoming increasingly heavy and causing him to become more and more agitated.

He began to suffer from insomnia, unable to sleep night after night. Even when he tried his best to suppress it, a sliver of golden light would leak out when his emotions fluctuated. Faint golden traces would be left where he passed; objects he touched would instantly become warm; and even in his dreams, he would dream that he needed to do something.

He became increasingly anxious and irritable, and his attitude towards colleagues, work, and everything else was prickly. Only when he was with Nao would he show her all his gentleness.

He fears.

He was afraid of losing control and hurting Nao, afraid that she would find out about the monstrous power hidden within him, afraid that she would look at him with fear and disgust, and afraid that this only warmth would be completely torn apart by this damned unknown thing.

That evening, the setting sun painted the streets a gentle orange-red, and the flower shop windows were filled with cherry blossoms, their pink and white petals drifting down in the wind.

Nao, carrying a bunch of sunflowers, skipped over to Hojo Toru, her eyes sparkling: "Mr. Hojo, will you come with me to Ueno Park to see the cherry blossoms next weekend? I learned how to make cherry blossom pastries, especially for you, and I want to make them for you."

Her smile was clean and pure, shining into Hojo Toru's heart like sunshine.

Hojo Toru's heart skipped a beat. Looking into her expectant eyes, all his coldness and resistance melted away in that instant. He coughed awkwardly and nodded gently: "...I understand, I'll make time."

"That's great!" Nao jumped up happily and hugged his arm. "Hojo-san is the best!"

A soft touch came, and a faint floral fragrance lingered at the tip of his nose. Hojo Toru's body stiffened, and he felt the restless power of light in his heart calm down at this moment.

He hugged Nao tightly.

Next, he pressed the power of light even deeper and hid it even more tightly.

Lin Chen sat in the cafe across from the flower shop, looking at the two people standing side by side by the window, and seeing the rare tenderness in Hojo Toru's eyes, he gently shook his head.

He could sense that the power of light within Hojo Toru was almost uncontrollable.

The situation for Team G3 is becoming increasingly difficult.

Without Agito's assistance, Makoto Hikawa's G3 armor alone was simply unable to cope with the increasingly frequent attacks from the Unknown.

"Hikari, be careful!" Sumiko Ozawa's anxious voice rang out in the communicator.

"Roger!" Hikawa Makoto controlled the G3 armor, raised the beam rifle and fired, but the Unknown waved its hand and sent the armor flying.

Bingchuan Cheng crashed heavily to the ground, the alarm on his armor blared wildly, and the indicator light on his chest turned from green to red, indicating that he was on the verge of being scrapped.

Lin Chen stood at the alley entrance not far away, watching Hikawa Makoto fight alone, and watching Hojo Toru sit in the Metropolitan Police Department office, pretending to be deaf to the battle outside.

He could sense that the power of light within him was restless because of the battle in the distance, as if urging him to fight and protect.

But he is still running away.

He used "rules" and "discipline" as a shield, hiding his fear and cowardice behind them.

Fortunately, Unknown does not kill ordinary people; after destroying G3, it left.

Chapter 105 New Sub-Agito

In the evening, Hojo Toru finished his work for the day and deliberately avoided the battle site in Shibuya, heading straight for the Hikari Hanaya.

Nao was already waiting for him at the door, holding a small pink box in her hand, smiling sweetly: "Mr. Hojo, I made some cherry blossom shortbread in advance, would you like to try some?"

Hojo Toru took the box, opened it, and inside were small, delicate cherry blossom pastries, pink and tender, exuding a faint floral fragrance. He picked one up, put it in his mouth, and the sweet but not cloying taste melted on his tongue. All his fatigue and anxiety vanished in that instant.

"It's delicious." He rarely spoke up, and his tone was much softer.

Nao smiled happily: "Then I'll make even more for you to eat when we go see the cherry blossoms next week!"

“Okay.” Hojo Toru nodded, his eyes full of tenderness.

...

The agitation of the power of light has reached a critical point.

Hojo Toru began to hallucinate, frequently hearing battle roars in his ears. His body grew increasingly hot, and he would sweat profusely even on cold, rainy days.

He began to deliberately distance himself from Nao, reducing his visits to the flower shop and even deliberately avoiding meeting her.

He was afraid of losing control and hurting her.

"Mr. Hojo, have you been very tired lately?" Nao found the Metropolitan Police Department and looked at the dark circles under his eyes with concern. "You haven't been to the flower shop in a long time. I'm worried about you."

"I'm fine, just busy with work." Hojo Toru turned his face away, avoiding her eyes, his voice hoarse, "Nao, please don't come looking for me again, stay away from me, okay?"

Nao froze, her eyes instantly reddening. She shook her head, gently stepped forward, and hugged him. "I don't want to. Wherever Mr. Hojo is, I'll be there. No matter what happens to you, I'll be with you."

A warm embrace, a soft body, and a faint floral fragrance.

Hojo Toru's heart felt like it had been violently clenched.

He couldn't hold back any longer. He turned around, hugged Nao tightly, buried his face in the crook of her neck, and said in a voice he had never heard before, his voice filled with vulnerability: "I'm afraid... afraid of hurting you, afraid of losing you..."

“Mr. Hojo wouldn’t do that.” Nao gently patted his back and said tenderly, “You are the best detective and the kindest person. No matter what you become, I will believe in you and stay with you.”

"Don't be afraid, just do what you want to do."

Her trust and her gentleness were like a ray of light, illuminating the darkness in Toru Hojo's heart.

But this light is not enough.

...

The setting sun bathed the streets in orange-red hues, and cherry blossom petals drifted down in the wind, creating a scene as beautiful as a painting.
