Is the closed beta test of King of Loque over? The official release is here!

Mo Fan immediately understood that this countdown was the duration of the Water-Avoiding Spell.

If the pearls are not replenished within these thirty seconds, the water-repelling spell will fail, and the trial will be lost.

Immediately afterwards, Mo Fan and Shui Lanlan exchanged a glance.

"Shui Lanlan, hurry down there and collect pearls!"

"Blue Blue!" Blue Blue immediately went underwater. And it's true, Blue Blue's speed in the water was extremely fast, as if it were part of the water flow itself.

In the blink of an eye, Shui Lanlan had descended a considerable distance.

There seems to be some kind of connection between the two, Mo Fan and his pet. Despite the great distance, Mo Fan can still see Shui Lanlan, and Shui Lanlan can also see Mo Fan.

In just a short while, Shui Lanlan dived to the bottom of the sea.

Some shellfish lay on the ground, and some of them were open, with pearls lying in the center.

Shui Lanlan then used her magic to manipulate the water flow and control these pearls.

However, it can only control a maximum of three pearls at a time.

"Shui Lanlan, three is enough. Don't try to control it too much. Swim up." Mo Fan gave Shui Lanlan the instruction.

Immediately afterwards, Shui Lanlan swam towards the direction where Mo Fan was.

However, there was still a distance between the two sides, and at this moment, only fifteen seconds remained.

"This is troublesome," Mo Fan thought to himself.

If both sides want to get closer quickly, it can't just be Shui Lanlan moving closer to Mo Fan; Mo Fan also needs to find a way to move closer to Shui Lanlan.

Thinking this, Mo Fan tried to control the bubble that surrounded him.

To his surprise, the bubble could actually be controlled.

It's just that it will be a bit troublesome.

So Mo Fan controlled the bubble and swam towards Shui Lanlan.

Unexpectedly, at that moment, a school of fish suddenly swam over from nowhere and crashed straight into the bubble where Mo Fan was.

Chapter 41 The Blessing of Mother Ocean

"!"

Another surprise attack?

Seeing this scene, Mo Fan's heart skipped a beat. While feeling flustered, he suddenly had a sense of déjà vu, as if he were personally playing the game of the big fish eating the little fish.

Clearly, the appearance of these fish was definitely not good news for him.

He didn't believe these fish posed no threat to him.

"Oh no, if I get hit by these fish, will my bubble burst right now?"

In just a moment, Mo Fan controlled the bubble to try and dodge.

Whoosh!

The fish swam very fast. Mo Fan narrowly avoided them.

"That was close!"

"It seems this is also part of the test."

Mo Fan thought to himself, and then he controlled the bubble to continue moving closer to Shui Lanlan.

However, when he controlled the bubble to descend to a certain depth, Mo Fan found that he could no longer descend.

As he descended further, it was as if he was blocked by an invisible force, preventing him from diving any deeper.

If I'm not mistaken, this is an essential part of the design of this trial.

Otherwise, if he and Shui Lanlan dived down to the bottom together, wouldn't Shui Lanlan be able to give him the pearl she found directly?

"That means this trial requires me to avoid these schools of fish while trying to get closer to Shui Lanlan. Only in this way can the effect be maximized."

"As expected, magicians and pets still need to work together."

Just then, Shui Lanlan swam over successfully and handed three pearls to Mo Fan.

The pearl instantly merges into the air bubble upon contact.

[The water-repelling spell's duration is extended by one minute.]

The notification sound on the panel rang.

Without a doubt, three pearls can extend the duration of the water-repelling spell by one minute.

"Shui Lanlan, well done! Let's keep going!"

Mo Fan cheered Shui Lanlan on.

“Blue Blue!” Water Blue Blue responded.

Then Shui Lanlan continued to dive down to retrieve the pearls.

Mo Fan controlled the bubble, carefully avoiding the school of fish while closely following the direction in which Shui Lanlan was diving.

"If I'm not mistaken, this so-called essence of water should also have some additional benefits. It seems I'll have to collect as much as possible this time."

"Shui Lanlan moves so fast, there won't be any problems on its end."

"The only real problem is on my end—I have to make as few mistakes as possible and avoid getting hit by those schools of fish."

Mo Fan kept a close watch on himself.

At the same time, he was extremely careful, moving cautiously to avoid being touched by the fish.

And so, Shui Lanlan was scooping up pearls from the seabed, while Mo Fan helped her by getting as close as possible so that Shui Lanlan could transport the pearls more easily.

Time passed by, second by second.

Mo Fan's water-repelling spell lasted well past five minutes.

However, since chanting the name of the pearl—which is the essence of water—might have special effects, Mo Fan kept directing Shui Lanlan to continue scooping it up.

However, the number of these pearls seems to be limited.

At first, Shui Lanlan could scoop up three pearls each time, but as time went on, she was able to scoop up fewer and fewer pearls.

Now, after searching for a while, Shui Lanlan can only find one.

until……

Shui Lanlan delivered the last pearl.

"Blue Blue".

Shui Lanlan swayed in front of Mo Fan, as if to say that there were no more pearls to be found below.

Mo Fan said, "Thank you for your hard work, Shui Lanlan. You did an excellent job in this trial."

Just then, the panel notification sounded again.

[All Water Essence in the trial has been collected. The trial has ended automatically.]

[Congratulations to Mage Mo Fan for completing the training of the Azure Water Spell.]

[Congratulations to Mage Mo Fan for learning a new spell: the Water Repellent Spell.]

[Note: The trial requires the water-repelling spell to last for five minutes, meaning the mage needs to absorb fifteen water essences.]

However, since the mage absorbed a total of thirty-six water essences during this trial, the remaining water essences have been converted into water elemental talent.

[Hint: Aqua Blue performed exceptionally well in this trial and also gained experience points!]

[Shui Lanlan's level increased from 15 to 16.]

Looking at these hints, Mo Fan sighed inwardly: Just as I thought.

However, at this moment, Mo Fan focused his attention on Shui Lanlan.

In the game, Aquamarine evolves into Popola at level 16.

He was wondering if Aquamarine would evolve.

But recalling what Feng Ling'er had said, Mo Fan was puzzled again.

"Can Aquamarine evolve into Popola at this level?"

Just as Mo Fan was pondering, a light shone from Shui Lanlan's body—its level had increased from level fifteen to level sixteen.

After Shui Lanlan reached level sixteen, a dazzling white light suddenly emanated from its body.

This white light is like the light that appears when a pet evolves in a game.

"Is it really going to evolve?"

Mo Fan thought to himself, feeling a little excited at the same time.

After all, if it were to truly evolve, its base stats would definitely increase, and its combat power would inevitably rise as well.

But for some reason, after the white light was released, it seemed to weaken slightly, as if it was about to retreat.

This scene made Mo Fan frown.

"What's going on? Can evolution really fail? What went wrong? Is it because we haven't accumulated enough levels? Or is it because we don't have enough energy or something?"

Mo Fan wondered to himself.

He was anxious, but he didn't know how to help Shui Lanlan.

But at that moment, the surrounding ocean suddenly became restless.

Invisible waves spread out.

At the same time, the notification sound on the panel rang again.

[Detection indicates that the mage and Shui Lanlan are currently undergoing a water trial...]

The notification sounded, and then there was a pause for a while.

Mo Fan frowned, not understanding what the notification sound meant.

But just then, the notification sound rang out again.
