Stanley and his group wanted to take it, but looking at this young man who suddenly displayed amazing abilities... they felt that this guy was more like an alien.
"Are you an alien too?"
"Are there aliens who look like me?" Lu Qianwei spread his arms and spun around twice.
The soldiers were skeptical, but their nerves remained on edge.
"Forget it, what's the point of telling you all that? Otherwise, I wouldn't have harmed you."
"Grab these guns and get ready to fight me, those things are coming again."
Just as Stanley was about to press further, a series of low, violent roars and howls suddenly echoed from the depths of the dark corridor in the distance.
"Enemy in sight! Be on alert!"
This chilling scream ultimately made Stanley set aside his distractions and choose to unite against a common enemy.
Just as the group raised their guns and aimed them at the entrance to the passage from which the sound came, several tall, humanoid black figures emerged from the darkness.
They were exactly like the corpses on the ground, their bodies covered with thick, gray-black carapaces, their ferocious claws gleaming coldly, and their bloodshot, malevolent eyes fixed on the living creatures in the area, charging straight at them with a savage killing instinct.
"Fire!!"
Without needing any further instructions, Jax, Jack, and the others decisively pulled the trigger.
Da da da—!
A dense hail of bullets poured out, flames exploded one after another, and countless bullets slammed into the alien's armor with a series of clanging sounds.
A few bullets that hit the soft parts of joints only grazed the skin and produced a little blood, and could not cause fatal damage at all.
"It's no use! You'd better switch guns before they get here," Lu Qianwei casually reminded him from behind.
Upon hearing this, Stanley made a decisive decision: "Change guns!"
Everyone had been eyeing the weapons for a long time, and the moment they received their destiny, they pounced on the weapons on the ground, each grabbing an energy rifle and quickly and decisively aiming at the new aliens and pulling the trigger.
As the dazzling blue energy beam shot out, the alien's hard shell was instantly pierced like a piece of paper!
The aliens at the forefront didn't even have time to roar before their bodies stiffened and they crashed heavily to the ground, completely lifeless.
The several aliens that followed were surprised and terrified, completely unprepared for these inferior natives to have brought out energy weapons!
The aliens regretted their actions and tried to draw their guns, but it was too late. Under another round of energy attacks, they all fell to the cold floor.
"Hahaha, this gun is fucking awesome!"
The six men gripped their scorching energy rifles, feeling both excited and lost in thought, as if something was not quite real.
After all, not long ago, they were rescuing people in the Middle East. They woke up and within an hour, they were fighting aliens and easily won.
The speed was so fast that they were not quite used to it.
Chapter 260 Space Slaughter 2
Looking at the corpse on the ground with lingering fear, Stanley lowered the muzzle of his gun.
Turning around, he stood in front of Lu Qianwei, frowning as he asked, "You know everything, don't you?"
So what do we do next?
Lu Qianwei glanced at the lingering echoes of the roars deep in the passage and shrugged: "What else can we do?"
If you want to get out, the only way is to defeat the aliens here.
Of course, the best solution is to simply seize the spaceship.
Upon hearing this, the six soldiers exchanged glances, and the bearded Reynolds couldn't help but growl out, "Steal the spaceship?"
With you, there are seven of us!
"This is an alien spaceship, we probably wouldn't even know how to fly it."
Jax chimed in, his tone grave: "Yes, we don't even know how big this ship is or how many aliens it has."
"Trying to force our way through their bridge would be tantamount to suicide."
Max nodded in agreement; the small victory they had just won't diminish the inherent caution in everyone's bones.
They were veterans, not desperate lunatics, and this person always seemed to be using them as cannon fodder to achieve some goal.
Isn't that how it's always portrayed in movies?
Looking at the soldiers who were still wary of him, Lu Qianwei kicked the alien corpse at his feet. "You can't fly the spaceship, but I can!"
And who said there were only six of you on the ship?
There are human soldiers from at least various countries here; they were all captured by aliens and brought here as prey.
"So we can easily assemble a team to break through the bridge as we fight our way through."
Lu Qianwei paused, then glanced at the six people's tense faces: "And then... do you have a choice?"
If we stay here, we'll eventually be hunted by aliens, and we'll have nowhere to run.
It's either a desperate gamble to seize a ship and survive, or you wait here to die. So, which do you choose?
Stanley remained silent for a few seconds, then looked at his teammates. None of the five of them showed any sign of backing down.
As Lu Qianwei said, they had no way out.
Stanley gripped the energy rifle tightly and said in a deep voice, "Then let's fight!"
I'll lead the team, and you'll be our guide!
"Hehe, that's right."
"Leave the ammunition and weapons to me." Lu Qianwei nodded with a smile.
"Let's go!" Stanley called out, and his teammates quickly regrouped according to the existing special operations tactics.
Jax, carrying a rifle, went ahead to scout ahead, Stanley directed from the middle, and Jack brought up the rear.
The remaining three split up and moved to either side of the wall, maintaining a combat formation with a five-meter interval between them.
The gun muzzle remained locked on the shadowy blind spots in front and to the sides, and the combat boots made only a very slight sound when they stepped on the metal floor.
No one uttered a single extra word throughout the entire process. This is a basic principle of close-quarters combat in CQB (Close Quarters Battle), as unnecessary noise would only reveal their position prematurely.
After advancing less than 300 meters along the main corridor, Jax, who was at the front, suddenly raised his hand and gestured for a stop.
The entire team instantly crouched down and pressed themselves against the bulkhead, their movements perfectly synchronized, even their breathing becoming softer.
Jax turned his head and whispered in a voice only the whole team could hear, "Four of them, coming from the opposite direction, about fifty meters away. They should be a patrol."
Stanley immediately signaled with hand signals: Jax and Reynolds on the left, and Jack and Max on the right, and he set up cross-points.
In less than two seconds, the four of them pressed themselves against the shadows on either side of the corridor, the muzzles of their energy rifles emerging from the shadows and steadily aimed at the corner.
The footsteps grew closer, and four aliens covered in gray-black armor turned the corner, carrying energy rifles.
Before anyone could react, Jax had already pulled the trigger. A bright blue energy beam shot straight at the chest of the alien in front, piercing through its hard shell instantly. The alien fell straight down without even uttering a sound.
The other three aliens reacted extremely quickly, immediately ducking for cover. Energy beams swept over them one after another, hitting the metal bulkhead and exploding into a string of blinding sparks, with metal fragments flying everywhere.
The second alien had barely peeked out when Reynolds on the right flank fired, and the energy beam pierced through its eye socket, killing it instantly.
Seeing that things were not going well, the remaining two turned around and ran back to the cabin behind them, trying to close the door and hold their ground.
Jack dashed out, crouching low, and fired two shots from his waist. Both shots hit the aliens in the back, and the two aliens slammed heavily against the hatch, then slid down and lay motionless.
The entire battle, from engagement to conclusion, lasted only eighteen seconds, with no casualties.
Stanley went up to examine the body and pulled a metal identification tag from the alien's waist.
He then said to Lu Qianwei, "If we keep walking in one direction, we'll eventually find a few cabins, and maybe there will be people in those rooms."
"Suit yourself." Lu Qianwei was like a mobile armory, providing them with weapons and ammunition, but he didn't lift a finger like a spectator.
The team didn't dare to delay and continued to advance under alternating cover.
The 1,200-meter corridor turned three corners, and after clearing out two lone aliens along the way, they successfully made their way to the outside of a detention pod.
Five aliens happened to walk in, completely unaware that humans would come here.
Stanley crouched at the corner and gestured: Max, manually pick the lock; Jax and I will hold the front; Reynolds, take Jack around to the side door to block the escape route; once the lock is open, throw grenades first, then rush in.
After making the arrangements, Max crouched down and reached over. The structure of the alien lock naturally came to mind. His fingers followed the lock seams for less than half a minute, and with a soft "click," the airtight door opened a crack inward.
Hearing the commotion, the aliens inside shouted, and two high-explosive grenades rolled inside.
Two deafening explosions followed, and thick smoke billowed from the hatch.
Stanley waved his hand, and four assault soldiers immediately rushed in, firing their energy guns repeatedly.
The two aliens who weren't killed by the explosion were taken down as soon as they raised their guns. Only one ran out of the side door and ran right into Reynolds and Jack, who were guarding there, and was riddled with bullets.
The eight prisoners in the cabin came out of their holding troughs, and after some explanation, they were still incredulous.
But upon seeing the cabin full of alien corpses and brand-new energy weapons, their fighting spirit was instantly ignited.
Of the eight men, three were Russian Alpha Special Forces soldiers, two were British SAS members, and three were US Rangers.
They were all seasoned veterans who quickly joined the ranks after receiving their weapons, and the team expanded to fifteen people at once.
The group continued their winding and circuitous journey, advancing for five kilometers, where they discovered a second detention pod.
With such a commotion, the aliens have realized that their hunting game seems to be getting out of control.
Some, unable to continue, quickly dispatched fully armed soldiers to encircle and annihilate them.
Taking advantage of their familiarity with the terrain, they quickly flanked the human soldiers from the left and right corridors, intending to trap and annihilate them in front of the detention cabin doors.
"Danger is approaching!" Lu Qianwei warned, informing everyone of the location of the enemy.
Stanley had no doubts and immediately said to everyone, "Ivan, take three Alphas to the left corridor, use the protruding pipes as cover, and fire when you get close."
Tom from the SAS led two men to guard the right ventilation duct, planting grenades beforehand and detonating them once they were all inside.
The rest of the men stayed with me at the front, fighting and retreating, luring them in before surrounding them.
Everyone nodded and accepted the order to proceed.
Five minutes later, five aliens rushed out from the main corridor, their energy beams so powerful they made it impossible for anyone to lift their heads.
Stanley led his men in a fighting retreat, deliberately luring them to the point where the firepower from both sides intersected.
