She touched her chin, then suddenly said in a serious tone, "But there are only a few hours left in the day, aren't there?"

The deer suddenly glared at it.

Never mind what I said.

Mashiro chuckled twice, shrank his neck, and raised his hands in surrender.

Once outside the store, Xiaolu naturally took all the bags: "This is what a maid should do."

With his hands empty, Mashiro was happy to have some peace and quiet.

Kugizaki walked beside him, watching this scene, and shook his head repeatedly.

"I can see that you did it on purpose."

"No, she did it voluntarily."

Mashiro looked smug and even gestured with her chin towards the deer, "Right, Miss Maid?"

Xiao Lu turned her face away, snorted coldly, and ignored her.

Xiao Lu, dressed in that high-class maid outfit and carrying large and small bags, stood out conspicuously in the crowd.

Passersby turned their attention to them.

"Whose young lady is that? She even brought her own maid with her."

"The maid is dressed so elegantly..."

"I'm so envious. I want a maid like that too."

"Reopening immediately is still possible."

The murmurs drifted into my ears.

Mashiro walked ahead, then turned back and smiled at the deer: "Did you hear that? Everyone's saying you're pretty."

"Shut up."

The deer turned its face away, not wanting to look at Shiro even once.

Chapter 266 The Never-Ending Daily Life (The End)

Since they had come all the way to Kyoto, they weren't in a hurry to go back.

The three strolled around, enjoying the quiet time.

"Come on, I know a good spot."

Kugizaki led the two to the banks of the Kamo River.

The Kamo River finally quieted down in the early morning. It was bustling with people in the morning, but now only the river flows quietly.

The lights from the streetlights on both banks were reflected on the water, adding a touch of gentleness to the cold river.

The three of them sat on the riverbank, enjoying the gentle night breeze.

The little deer was still wearing that maid outfit, hugging her knees, her long blue hair gently swaying in the wind.

Mashiro sat in the middle, looking up at the moon in the sky.

Kugizaki swung his legs and let out a long sigh of relief.

"Ah, that was really fun."

"Ah."

Mashiro responded, "The night view of Kyoto is quite different from that of Tokyo."

"Is that so?"

Kugizaki looked around but didn't see anything different. "I think they're pretty much the same."

"Well, I wouldn't say there's any difference."

Mashiro smiled, thought for a moment, and said, "It just feels a bit gentler than Tokyo."

"Gentle...?"

Kugizaki sighed softly, then changed the subject, "Come back during the day next time and finish up Nijo Castle."

"Still thinking about Nijo Castle?"

Mashiro said with a smile.

"Of course!"

The little deer sat quietly to one side, watching the river with a slight smile on its lips.

Mashiro turned her head to look at her and teased, "Miss Maid, aren't you cold?"

"not cold."

The little deer rolled her eyes. "What are you trying to say?"

"Nothing, I just wanted something warm to eat."

Mashiro smiled and said, her intentions quite clear.

"Okay, okay, I'll go buy it."

Little Deer sighed, "Where can we still buy food now?"

Kugizaki, standing to the side, couldn't help but laugh out loud, "You two have such a good relationship."

"That's because I trained him myself."

Mashiro watched the deer disappear into the distance and said with a smile.

The deer was gone for quite a while before returning with several bags.

There aren't many places to buy hot food in Kyoto in the early hours of the morning.

She went to several stores before finally finding all the items at a convenience store.

"That's all, just make do with it."

She placed the oden and several bottles of hot drinks between the three of them.

"That's pretty good, quite comprehensive."

Mashiro picked up a skewer of beef tendon, blew on it, took a bite, and said, "Hiss, it's a little hot."

"Slow down, no one's going to take it from you."

Kugizaki took the hot drink, unscrewed the cap, took a sip, and comfortably squinted his eyes.

The little deer sat down, picked up a skewer, and ate it quietly.

The three of them sat there, eating hot oden and watching the river.

A gentle night breeze blew, and the light on the water shimmered.

"Speaking of which..."

Kugizaki, chewing on a dumpling, mumbled, "Mashiro, you're not quite the same as you were when you first came here."

"Is there?"

Mashiro raised an eyebrow. "I've always been like this."

"Have."

Kugizaki nodded and said firmly, "When we first met, you were clearly aloof."

Is that so?

Mashiro feigned ignorance and said, "Haven't I always been approachable?"

"You can't tell at all."

Kugizaki remarked.

Mashiro shrugged and didn't argue further.

After going through so much, some changes are to be expected.

As they chatted, the sky gradually turned gray.

A faint orange hue appeared on the distant horizon.

"It's getting light."

Kugizaki stood up, stretched, and said, "Shall we go back?"

Mashiro tidied up the trash and threw it into the trash can next to her.

The little deer stood up and patted the grass clippings off her skirt: "It's a pity they're covered in dust."

"It seems you quite like this."

Mashiro chuckled and teased.

"Come on, I can't wait to take it off."

The deer glared at her, clearly annoyed.

"What a perfect example of tsundere."

......

The three of them boarded the earliest Shinkansen and returned to Tokyo.

Upon arrival at the station, they said their goodbyes.
