In a confined passage, the destructive effect of this explosion was devastating.
The dozen or so orc boys at the front were riddled with shrapnel, while the horde of swarming beastmen behind them were plowed up again and again by shockwaves and metal fragments.
Before the smoke from the explosion had even cleared, Lawson's voice was transmitted to the minds of every assassin through the communication between their consciousnesses.
"Fire."
The assassins, who were lying in ambush behind the bunkers on both sides, pulled the triggers at the same time.
Explosive guns, laser guns, and heavy explosive guns—three different caliber weapons—weave an impenetrable net of fire in the narrow passage.
Before the orc lads who survived the explosion could figure out what had happened, they were torn to shreds by crossfire coming from two directions.
Several quick-thinking orc boys tried to turn and run away, but the passage was mostly blocked by collapsed rubble and corpses.
They were trapped in the killing zone.
The entire ambush lasted less than a minute.
More than thirty orc boys and hundreds of farts were all wiped out.
[Life Points +337]
Looking at the number, Lawson made a decision immediately.
"Exchange for three assassins."
[Consumes: 300 Health Points, 3 Cubic Meters of Refined Steel.]
Three new, burly men from Qatar appeared out of nowhere.
"loyalty!"
Lawson quickly equipped them with weapons from the armory.
"Incorporate them into the main attack force and keep up."
His main attack force has now increased from fifty to fifty-three men.
The more people, the better.
"All troops, advance towards the camp!"
Fifty-three elite soldiers launched a simultaneous assault on the Iron Fang tribe's camp from three directions in battle formation.
The orcs left behind in the camp were now in chaos.
The series of explosions and intense gunfire outside made them realize something was wrong, but the orcs, forcibly awakened from their sleep and laziness, needed time to organize a counterattack, and Lawson wouldn't give them that time.
The fifteen men led by Number 1 broke into the camp from the main entrance on the north side.
They blasted a gap in the wall at the entrance, and two high-explosive grenades blew down a section of the wall, which was made of scrap metal and armor plates. Fifteen men poured in through the gap in a wedge formation.
The fifteen men led by No. 7 cut in from a cargo passage entrance on the northeast side of the camp.
This entrance was a weak point that No. 7 had marked during previous reconnaissance.
Lawson personally led the remaining twenty-three men to outflank the camp from the northwest.
Three groups of people simultaneously stormed the camp.
The situation inside the camp was even more chaotic than Lawson had anticipated.
A third of the orc boys who stayed behind were still in their shacks.
Awakened by the gunshots and explosions, they scrambled out of their shacks in all sorts of frantic movements. Some didn't even have time to grab their weapons, while others stumbled against the shack's door frame, dragging a large machete behind them.
The bastards were even more wailing and howling.
They ran around the camp like headless flies. Some ran north and bumped into Squad 1, which rushed in from the north. Some ran east and ran into Squad 7, which broke in from the northeast. Some tried to squat down and play dead, but playing dead is a disciplined and patient behavior that is completely beyond the capabilities of the fart spirits. They usually squatted down for less than three seconds before screaming and jumping up again out of fear.
After Lawson cut in from the northwest, he first encountered a hasty resistance from a group of about thirty orc boys.
"Frontal suppression, flanking maneuvers."
The ten elite soldiers on the front line used their concentrated firepower to hold back the orc horde.
Bombs and laser beams created a moving barrage in the narrow camp passageways.
The orc boys, carrying their tattered iron shields, tried to charge through the gunfire, but under such intense fire, the iron shields offered little protection, barely more than a sheet of paper.
Two flanking groups of six men each moved through the camp's shacks and outflanked the orc lads.
The battle ended the moment the crossfire was formed.
Thirty orc boys were all killed in less than twenty seconds.
The three assault teams, like three sharp knives, simultaneously pierced the heart of the camp.
Those orc boys who remained behind were divided, surrounded, and annihilated.
They lacked unified command, effective communication, and even sufficient time to don their armor.
The head of the last orc boy in the camp was blown to pieces by the impact of the bomb.
Green blood splattered onto Lawson's boots.
He glanced down, wiped his hands on an orc's head twice, and then looked around.
The Iron Teeth tribe's camp was as quiet as a metal tomb.
The ground was littered with the corpses of orcs and fart spirits.
Several shacks were still burning. During the battle, someone's laser beam ignited a pile of tarpaulin and wood, and orange flames flickered in the dimly lit cabin.
"Cleanup complete, no activity targets in the entire area," reported Number 1 via communication.
Lawson nodded.
What really matters is what comes next.
"Everyone, loot supplies."
Fifty-three assassins began systematically searching every corner of the green-skinned camp.
The first harvest came from the supply storage area on the east side of the camp.
Lawson witnessed firsthand the treasures he had observed remotely through telepathic communication during his reconnaissance.
Dozens of Imperial standard ammunition boxes.
They were piled up haphazardly on the ground, some of the box lids had been violently pried open by the green-skinned soldiers, and the ammunition inside was scattered all over the ground.
However, most of the ammunition remained in good condition, and the sealed packaging of the Imperial Military Complex, even after being ruined by the Greenskins, still ensured the basic functionality of the contents.
P.S.: Brothers, please read this series! Don't let it sit unfinished, please!
Chapter 34 Multi-barreled Rapid-Fire Cannon
Lawson opened an ammunition box that hadn't been pried open yet.
The box contained four neatly arranged layers of bright yellow .75 caliber explosive shells, thirty-six shells per layer, for a total of one hundred and forty-four shells.
Next to it was a box full of laser gun rechargeable magazines, at least forty in total.
Next to it were six boxes of Imperial standard fragmentation grenades, two boxes of high-explosive grenades, one box of Merta explosive tubes, detonators, and various types of fuses haphazardly stuffed into a canvas package.
A dozen or so Imperial standard weapons were scattered throughout the supply area.
The equipment includes a Lockheed Martin bomb gun, an MG standard laser gun, a bomb pistol, a chainsaw sword, and even two Hunter anti-tank laser cannons.
In the far corner of the supplies area, an Imperial military sealed box locked with three layers of iron chains caught Lawson's attention.
The box was twice the size of the other ammunition boxes, and its surface was printed with the Imperial Eagle insignia and a string of striking red warning signs.
Lawson recognized the signs.
Imperial Arms Hazardous Goods Classification Number: IX-Sigma-Omega.
Macroscopic thermal fusion explosive bomb!!
Lawson's eyelids twitched: "Which brain-dead geek stuffed this ancestor with a grenade? Didn't the God of Machines teach him anything about sorting and packing?"
After the lid popped open, a spherical device encased in a thick, shock-absorbing composite material was revealed.
Imperial Macro-Thermo-Fused Fusion Bomb.
It is about 50 centimeters in diameter and its outer shell is made of multi-layer high-temperature and radiation-resistant alloy. The surface is covered with dense heat dissipation fins and sensor interfaces.
The device has a manually set detonation panel on top and a magnetically attached base at the bottom.
With an effective kill radius exceeding 500 meters, the actual destructive range within a confined space can be expanded to more than five times that.
The only explanation for the 88th Assault Unit carrying strategic weapons of this caliber is that their original mission included a final option: to physically wipe the entire area away with macrothermal fusion explosives if the threat on the wrecked ship could not be eliminated by conventional means.
They were all wiped out before they could even be used.
Lawson resealed the warhead and stored it in the armory.
The armory had only one cubic meter of space, and Lawson began to execute the assembly line operation that he had practiced countless times.
Deposit, transfer.
The assassins stored the weapons and ammunition they scavenged into the armory space.
It was received and stored by No. 6 in a distant armory.
Twenty minutes later, all available Imperial weapons and ammunition in the supply depot were transferred to Armory 6.
The emptied armory was filled again in just twenty minutes.
The stockpile of explosive rifle ammunition has been restored to a level sufficient to support hundreds of battles.
Laser gun charging magazine, hand grenade, explosives, detonator.
The stock of all consumables has achieved a qualitative leap.
After finishing the inventory, Lawson let out a long sigh of relief.
Then he saw what truly made him smile.
In the very center of the supply area, the Imperial multi-barrel laser cannon was supported by a rough iron frame.
But Lawson's attention wasn't on the laser cannon; it was too heavy, requiring a fixed position and large power supply equipment to operate, and it also needed to be recharged.
His gaze fell on an inconspicuous platform next to the laser cannon.
