Warhammer: Empire Reboot

A multi-barrel rapid-fire cannon.
It was welded to the base of an Imperial Tarantula sentry gun.
The Tarantula Sentinel Gun is one of the Empire's most common automated defensive weapons, consisting of a four-legged stable base on which a weapon platform with automatic aiming and firing capabilities is mounted. It is typically equipped with a twin-barreled heavy bombardier or assault cannon.
However, the original weapons of this Tarantula have been removed and replaced with an astonishingly large multi-barreled rapid-fire cannon.
The six robust gun barrels are arranged in a ring, and the ammunition feeding mechanism is connected to a large-capacity ammunition box from the side.
Lawson walked around the tarantula base and quickly found out why the Iron Fang tribe's skilled boy had failed to dismantle and utilize it.
There are obvious signs of violent disassembly on the welded surface at the bottom of the base, including clamp marks from pliers, dents from a hammer, and even burn marks left by a plasma cutting gun.
TechKing wasn't without its attempts; it did try.
However, the base of the Tarantula Sentinel Cannon was cast from ultra-high-density steel produced in the Imperial Forging World.
The core load-bearing frame of the four-legged stable structure adopts an integrated casting process, with no weak points that can be forcibly disassembled.
TechKid's plasma cutting gun burned the stainless steel surface of the base for most of the day, leaving only a few shallow burn marks. It couldn't cut through.
No matter how strong the Greenskins' technical intuition is, they can only look on in awe at the culmination of the Empire's millennia-old metallurgical craftsmanship that has forged the world.
So Tech Boy abandoned the dismantling plan and instead focused his efforts on another direction—the unfinished walking mech was its alternative.
As for why Irontooth Gluck didn't bring this weapon with him when he went to war, the answer is even simpler.
The tarantula base, along with the multi-barreled rapid-fire cannon on it, weighs over three tons.
Moving a three-ton weapon platform into the deep decks through the narrow, rugged passageways inside the wrecked ship, riddled with steps and obstacles, was no less difficult than herding a unicorn into the Imperial Senate.
Irontooth's army needs speed and impact, not a lump of iron that needs twenty orc boys to carry it.
So it was left at the camp.
But for Lawson, this is not a problem.
Just because the orcs can't dismantle it doesn't mean he can't; he still has an armory.
"Tear it down."
The assassins used chainsaw swords to cut away the green-skinned, later-welded fixing structures between the base and the ground.
Subsequently, following the modular locking mechanism of Imperial standard armament, the central load-bearing frame and rotating support were disassembled into several components that could just fit into a cubic meter of space.
Gun body, ammunition feeding mechanism, ammunition box interface.
They are stored one by one in the armory space for purification, and then transferred to the deep deck.
There happened to be several boxes of special ammunition belts for shipborne close-in weapon systems in the Iron Teeth tribe's supply storage area, probably looted from the same warship.
These munitions were also transferred together.
Deep deck.
The consciousness signals from Number 3 and Number 4 were received and confirmed.
They haven't been assembled yet.
Now is not the time to use this weapon.
The ammunition for the multi-barrel rapid-fire cannon is a ship-borne, large-caliber, dedicated ammunition belt, and the total amount is limited. Even with the few boxes looted from the Iron Fang camp, it cannot support unlimited continuous firing.
This weapon should only be used at the most critical moments, when facing the most deadly threats.
The disassembled components were stored in a corner of the repair platform.
Use it when you need it.
Currently, the assassins at the two ambush sites are still carrying out their sniping missions with bomb guns and laser guns, targeting lone targets and seriously wounded individuals in the melee.
Chapter 35 The Demons' Madness
Lawson glanced at the total earnings.
[Cumulative Warp Energy Gain: +689]
[Cumulative Life Points Gain: +721]
Lawson was very satisfied.
The combat distance was less than fifty kilometers, and the harvest was not diminished at all.
He immediately made the next decision.
"Exchange for eleven assassins."
[Consumes: 1100 Health Points, 11 Cubic Meters of Refined Steel.]
Eleven strong men from Qatar stood firmly in the stronghold.
"The drop will be split into two groups. Six people will spawn at anchor point 3, and five people will spawn at anchor point 4."
The spawn rules for suicide soldiers allow for airdrops that ignore distance, using existing suicide soldiers as anchor points.
The deep deck is less than fifty kilometers from the outpost, well within the restricted area.
Six new suicide soldiers solidified on the maintenance platform of No. 3, and five appeared in the crane control room of No. 4.
Retrieving weapons and equipment from the armory takes only a few seconds: laser guns, bomb guns, and grenades.
Group 3 has increased from ten to sixteen people.
Group 4 has increased from ten to fifteen people.
The total number of assassins on the deep deck reached thirty-one.
The two groups continued their sniping missions from their respective high positions.
On the battlefield, the battle between Irontooth Gluck's army and the demon legion had been going on for several hours, evolving from an initial head-on clash into a full-blown melee that spread across the entire deck area.
The green blood and dark red demon blood mixed together, forming a thick layer of mud on the ground.
The assassins number 3 and 4 precisely picked off the peripheral targets in this chaotic battle.
Every few tens of seconds, the system will pop up a notification that new resources have been credited.
[Subspace Energy +12]
[Life Points +7]
[Life Points +25]
[Subspace Energy +12]
The gains at this time were faster than ever before, flooding the system like a screen.
Then things started to change.
The demon began to react.
In the fundamental laws of the warp, demons are immortal. When a demon is killed in the material world, its physical body disintegrates, and its soul core flows back into the warp. After a period of time, it will re-coagulate and return.
Kill, return, unite, and come again.
This is the eternal cycle of evil.
But now, the souls of those demons killed by the assassins have not returned to the warp.
They disappeared completely.
Just like the two imps that Lawson killed before, the system intercepted their soul energy, purified and transformed it, leaving no remnants of backflow in the warp.
For demons, this is more terrifying than death itself.
Death is only a temporary return, but the capture of the soul means permanent annihilation.
In the information network of subspace, such anomalies are rapidly transmitted.
Among the demon hordes battling the Greenskins, a signal that did not belong to any known demonic language began to spread in their consciousness.
In Khorne's doctrine, the soul is a more precious resource than blood.
Blood can flow again, but a soul that dies will never return.
The devil will not allow such a threat to exist.
A vampire that was fighting Norber suddenly stopped attacking, turned around and glanced in the direction of ambush point number 3, then abandoned the greenskin in front of it and rushed in that direction at full speed.
The second one, the fifth one, the tenth one...
More and more demons abandoned their battle with the greenskins and instead directed their attacks towards the two ambush points.
The green-skinned men stood there, bewildered, their machetes raised in the air, when their opponents suddenly vanished.
"Waaagh? Where did you go? Come back! I haven't cut enough yet!"
The devil no longer cares about the green-skinned ones.
Their priorities have fundamentally changed.
The control room of No. 4 was the first to be hit by the impact.
A group of vampires charged in a fan-shaped formation from the right side of the passage.
They are no longer acting as scattered individuals, but advancing in a clearly coordinated tactical formation.
The five in the front row hold up Hellblades to form a shield wall, the five in the middle row are slightly offset, and the five in the back row keep their distance and are ready to throw.
"Whoosh whoosh!"
The five vampires in the back row simultaneously threw out their Hellblades.
Five demonic blades burning with dark red spiritual flames flew toward the control cabin at an astonishing speed.
"Crouch down!" Number 4 roared in the telepathic communication.
Fifteen suicide soldiers simultaneously pressed their bodies against the steel plate floor of the control room.
Five Hellblades pierced through the observation gaps on the side of the control cabin and the ventilation openings on the top. Two flew in through the gaps, grazing the backs of the suicide soldiers lying on the ground, and one slammed into the outer wall of the control cabin.
The other two flew past the cockpit and disappeared into the darkness behind.
There were no casualties, but the distance had been closed.
