Warhammer: Empire Reboot

Her face flushed slightly, but she didn't shy away from the topic.
"This is a blessing."
All three of them looked at her at the same time.
Vera said softly, “The Lord did not perform any ceremony, nor did he bestow any blessing upon us. Yet our bodies have become stronger, and the golden fire has become more stable. If this is because of him, then it is the same as when he bestowed upon us the wings of light on the battlefield.”
Sera blinked.
"You mean, personal service is also a kind of gift?"
Vera nodded seriously.
"Judging from the results, yes."
Sena's expression became subtle.
Katarina slowly inserted the chainsaw sword back into the weapon rack.
"Captain, you wouldn't already be thinking about how to put this into the training regulations, would you?"
Katarina looked at her.
“If serving the master can enhance combat power, it should be regarded as a high-level training for combat nuns.”
Sera's lips twitched.
"You really dare to say that."
Katarina was very serious.
“I only look at the results. Our physical abilities have improved, our strength has increased, and our control over the Golden Flame has become stronger. This means that the next time we face Chaos Corruption, Demonic Entities, or the betrayal of Astartes, we can kill more and survive longer.”
Sena said calmly, "So your conclusion is that for the sake of the Empire and for the sake of combat power, we should serve you more actively."
Katerina nodded.
"Yes."
Sera couldn't hold back any longer and burst out laughing while leaning against the wall.
"Captain, do you know what you sound like right now?"
"Like what?"
"Like a battle maniac who has found a sacred excuse for himself."
Katarina showed no embarrassment or anger whatsoever.
"Whether the excuse is sacred or not is not important; what matters is that the conclusion is correct."
Sena smiled too.
Vera, on the other hand, seemed rather smug.
"It was my suggestion in the first place."
Sera turned her head.
"What suggestions?"
"It is suggested that we should not allow Lady Adela to have the peace and tranquility after the adults' return."
Sera immediately corrected her.
"I'm the one who's most anxious."
Vera glanced at her.
"But I'm the one who calls it my duty."
Senna finishes off the enemy.
"It was the captain who invited Adela into the prayer room. Sera was the one who actually carried it out. Vera was the one who recorded the key points. I was the one who pointed out the risks. We are all important."
Sera frowned.
"What you're saying sounds like you're dividing up the spoils of war."
Sena said, "It was originally a war achievement."
Just then, the communication runes outside the training hall lit up.
Andrei's voice came from inside the wall.
"Captain Katarina, Saintess Vera, Saintess Sera, Saintess Sena."
All four of them simultaneously composed themselves.
Katarina walked to the communications wall.
"Governor-General Andrei."
Andrei said, "The BOSS summons the four of you tonight."
Sera's eyes lit up.
Vera lowered her head, but she couldn't help but smile.
Sena glanced at the timer, as if calculating how much longer she had to prepare.
"Now?"
"Not now. Tonight. The boss said you need to come to class."
After two months of internal adjustment, the word "class" has long since acquired a new meaning.
Sera coughed first.
Sena pretended to adjust her gloves.
Vera's face was red all the way to her ears.
Katarina, however, took a step forward.
"Received. We'll be right there."
"Captain," Vera whispered a reminder.
Katarina turned around.
Vera pointed to the sweat on her forehead and the water stains on her training clothes.
"You just finished training."
Katarina glanced down.
Sena said calmly, “Take a bath first. Change your clothes. Check your appearance. Don’t let the adults think we just came back from a raid on heretics.”
"I'll go prepare the bath."
The four quickly left the training hall.
All the servants in the spire area were dismissed in advance, while Lady Adela remained by the door to arrange clothing, incense, holy oil, and inner court lighting.
She smiled and placed the four prepared platinum robes on the stone platform.
"It's a bit chilly tonight, so the four of you may wear an extra layer."
As preparations began in the inner court, Lawson stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window on the other side of the spire.
He was holding a glass of red wine.
The wine in the glass is a new tribute from the Fenrir Orchard Galaxy.
That Orchard Galaxy was clever; as soon as Lawson announced the Sector Cleansing Period, they sent a public mission, offering food, medicinal plants, alcohol fuel, and old navigational charts.
The gifts weren't the most expensive, but each one addressed the needs of rebuilding the Agrippina Sector.
Intelligent, pragmatic, and useful.
Within the swarm intelligence framework, the physical data of the four living saints is being slowly updated.
Of course, Lawson knew the reason.
With four living saints frequently serving him closely, and being exposed to his genetic infusion, psychic echoes, and the lingering golden fire, he would naturally be subtly influenced.
This kind of impact may not be a good thing for ordinary people.
Ordinary people cannot withstand it.
The four living saints are different.
Their souls have been branded by the Emperor's golden fire. They can receive and digest some of the changes.
They did a good job.
They deserve some reward.
Lawson gently swirled the wine in his glass.
Lawson turned his gaze from the window to another set of data from the swarm intelligence framework.
Total number of suicide soldiers.
Ninety-nine million nine hundred and ninety thousand...
We're just one step away from reaching 100 million.
At the current rate of life point conversion, it will arrive tomorrow.
This critical juncture came later than Lawson had anticipated.
Originally, the total number of suicide soldiers should have exceeded 100 million before the sixth genetic base leap.
However, the defensive battle of Agrippina was too costly.
Millions of the cornerstone sequence died.
Multiple units in the battle suffered heavy losses.
In addition, after taking over the Agrippina Sector after the war, a large number of foundational sequences were deployed to various planets, and many life points were prioritized to fill the gaps in basic administration. It was impossible for there to be no losses in the early stages.
This back-and-forth delayed the breakthrough.
But now, it's finally almost here.
In the past, the system has given new changes for each key threshold.
