The first combat wagon roared over the pile of corpses, its front end welded with two rows of iron teeth. Atop the wagon stood an orc chieftain, brandishing a large axe and spitting saliva.

The Corona Guards fired a salvo.

An incandescent beam of light pierced the front of the car.

The engine compartment exploded.

The vehicle rolled out of control and crashed into a crater on the left. The orcs inside were thrown out and splattered on the ground like bags of green, rotten flesh.

The second car sped up even faster.

A young nobleman stood up and fired three shots from his heat gun.

The orc driver had half his body burned off, but the car didn't stop; its momentum carried it into the ruins of a wall.

boom!

A section of the remaining wall has collapsed.

A dozen or so orc boys jumped off the carriage.

Melee burst.

A marquis's second son thrust out a rapier, the blade piercing the orc's throat with precision.

But the orcs' bones were too hard.

The sword is stuck in my cervical spine and I can't pull it out.

The orc wasn't dead. He looked down at the sword at his neck, grinned, and raised his axe to chop at his head.

The marquis's second son turned pale instantly.

"Can't pull it out..."

The next second, Brock shoved him aside.

The axe slammed into Brock's chest.

The old soldier grunted, his boots digging half a foot into the mud. He pressed his remaining left hand against the orc's face, his fingers almost digging into the orc's eye sockets.

“Watch closely, young master.”

The marquis's second son fell to the ground, his eyes wide open.

Brock grinned, revealing his bloodied mouth.

"If you can't pull the knife out, let go."

The orc pressed down hard on his axe.

Brock's sternum cracked, but he was still laughing.

"Change your equipment."

He lowered his head and used his chin to pry open the safety of the molten metal bomb in front of his chest.

"Don't fucking wait to die like an idiot."

The Marquis's second son screamed:

"sergeant!"

Brock roared like a cannonball exploding in a barrel.

"roll!"

A burst of white light erupted.

The molten bomb engulfed the orcs, and it also engulfed Brock.

The shockwave knocked several people over.

When the marquis's second son got up, all he saw was a crater burned into glass.

His power rapier was still stuck in the orc's remains, its hilt glowing red-hot.

He knelt by the pit, his lips trembling, unable to utter a sound for a long time.

Someone next to him pulled him.

"stand up!"

He didn't move, and the man slapped him across the face.

Snapped!

"Brock told you to get out, not to kneel down and cry!"

The marquis's second son suddenly looked up.

Tears, blood, and mud were all smeared on his face.

He reached out and picked up the old trench shovel that Brock had dropped.

The thing was old and dirty, with chips on the edges, and the number of the 82nd Regiment was engraved on the wooden handle.

He gripped the shovel handle as if it were a sacred sword of his family.

"The corona will not recede."

No one nearby heard it clearly.

He suddenly stood up, veins bulging on his neck, and roared at the orc horde:

"The corona will not retreat!"

"Fuck it, the corona won't back down!"

He charged back to the defensive line with his trench shovel and shoveled hard at the knee of an orc boy.

Bone fractured.

Blood splattered all over his face.

"Come on! Your dad's here!"

Another orc motorcycle rushed up the high ground.

The rider brandished his chainsaw axe and crashed into the flank of the Corona Guard.

A count's daughter was thrown into the air, half of her breastplate dented, and several ribs broken. She lay on the ground, still clutching a heat gun.

The motorcycle turned around, preparing to run over the vehicle.

She raised her gun and pulled the trigger.

The firearm is overheating and cannot be fired.

The red warning light on the gun was flashing wildly.

She stared at the light and uttered a curse that she would never have said before.

"You son of a bitch, you piece of junk."

The next moment, she inserted the heat gun directly into the front wheel of the motorcycle.

The axle is stuck.

The motorcycle tumbled, the orc rider was thrown out, and the motorcycle ran over her lower body.

The sound of bones breaking was very faint.

So light they were almost swallowed up by the battlefield.

The girl's face was deathly pale. She opened her mouth, but no sound came out.

She pulled out the family duel pistol from her waist.

The orc rider rose from the ground and charged forward, dragging his chainsaw axe.

The first shot missed.

She was panting, her wrists trembling violently.

"Damn recoil."

The second shot hit the orc in the shoulder.

The orc staggered, but continued charging.

It's already in front of us.

The girl suddenly smiled.

She shoved the gun into the orc's mouth.

The orc bit the gun barrel, his yellow teeth grinding sparks.

The girl whispered:

"Apologize to the Emperor on my behalf."

There were tears in her eyes, and smiles in them.

"I swore today."

boom!

The orc's head exploded.

The girl's hand fell to her sides, a slight smile still lingering on her lips, and she fell silent.

Upon seeing this, Aurelia's eyes instantly reddened.

She wanted to call the girl's name.

But an orc suddenly emerged from the ruins on the right.

The battlefield on Vigilant Star has turned into a bloody mess.

All the monsters, madmen, and those crushed by war were driven to the outskirts of the Water Nest City.

The orc lunged at a heavily wounded veteran.

The veteran's abdomen was ripped open, and he was still clutching a grenade in his hand, but he didn't even have the strength to pull the pin.

Aurelia stood in front of him.
