Warhammer: Empire Reboot

The cannon, the light spear, and the torpedo were fired simultaneously in three stages.
The transport mothership's Void Shield collapsed, its deck exploded, and the Corrupted Knights inside, which had not yet been deployed, were blown to pieces.
Several Knights activated their escape pods, attempting to crash back onto the surface of the warning planet.
Lawson didn't even let this go.
The combat sequence low-orbit air defense silo opened fire.
The ejection pods were called out one by one at the edge of the atmosphere.
The exploding fireball looked like a string of disgusting fireworks.
The Chaos Fleet has finally collapsed completely.
Numerous small war gangs were thrown into complete chaos.
Some rushed toward the subspace entrance, only to collide with friendly forces.
Some attempted to surrender, but their signals were immediately destroyed by nearby Khorne warships.
Some tried to hide behind the Vigilant Star, but their course was deflected by the Void Claws, exposing them to Imperial firepower.
The Vengeance became the most conspicuous banner in this counterattack.
It used the Black Legion's cannons to blast apart the Black Legion's allies.
Every time they fired, it was like slapping the Chaos Alliance in the face.
Many traitorous captains would rather be sunk by the Imperial Fist, the Iron Hand, or the Agrippina fleet than admit that they are being hunted down by the Warmaster's flagship.
But the shells don't matter whether they admit it or not.
The light spears didn't care whether they wanted to or not.
Wherever the Vengeance Soul's cannons are turned, that place will be torn apart.
On the bridge of the Victory Laureate, Calga looked at the tactical map.
Large sections of the Chaos Fleet's red markers disappeared.
The remaining targets are escaping the warning star's orbit.
He said in a deep voice, "Maintain formation, do not pursue too far."
"The vigilance star is the core."
"Let them go, and keep those who can stay."
Tigurius stood beside him, his eyes losing their sparkle.
"Being betrayed by his own flagship, this defeat will spread throughout the warp, and Abaddon will go mad."
Calga remained silent for a moment.
"At this moment, the orbit of the Vigilant Star belongs to the Empire."
Tigurius added quietly.
"It also belongs to Lord Lawson."
Calga did not refute this.
Inside the Fortress, the T-series gradually reduced the power of the Void Claws.
The final salvo from the Vengeance Souls cleaved a Dark Mechanicus heavy transport ship in two.
In the distance, a few Chaos warships finally managed to tear open the rift in the subspace and scrambled inside.
The Imperial Fleet held its course, cleared out the remaining enemy forces, and regrouped.
After the Chaos Fleet collapsed, a patch of gray light finally appeared in the sky above Vigilant Star.
Not exactly sunny.
Warship wreckage still floated in orbit. Burning debris trailed trails of fire as it plummeted into the atmosphere, exploding into dark red specks of light in the clouds. Occasionally, pieces of armored hulls would pierce through the clouds, crashing into the wasteland and kicking up dust columns several kilometers high.
But for Vigilant Star, this is already good news.
Inside the Battle Command Court at Saint Harbor, the commanders of each battle group were finally able to turn their attention away from the orbital warfare and look back at the ground.
Then, the relief that had just appeared on their faces quickly disappeared.
The warning star still resembles a giant beast with its abdomen torn open.
Outside the nest, the green-skinned soldiers are still ramming the defense line.
On the wasteland, a high-speed orc convoy streaked across the wasteland, trailing black smoke. Scrap metal wagons, war motorcycles, mobile turrets, and makeshift fortresses darted about, tangling supply lines like blood vessels torn apart by insects.
In the Hongbei District, the poor prince and his remaining troops huddled in the underground pipe network.
On the edge of Eastern Tolia, the plague zone is still emitting thick gray-green smoke.
Deep within Renkuxia's nest, the Chaos War Gang and the Gene Thief are still tearing each other apart.
On the outskirts of Motwald, remnants of Chaos, orcish hordes, astral armies, knightly mechs, Titan remains, and chapter assault forces were all mixed together.
The orbital victory merely removed the most lethal decapitation blade.
The rotten flesh on the ground still had to be cut away piece by piece.
Calga silently surveyed the shattered front lines.
Haldor Frosty sat imposingly on a heavy bomb box, his chainsaw axe resting across his knees.
"Those green-skinned bastards deserve to die."
"After one crop is cut down, another one sprouts up from the soil."
Everyone understood that the situation was tricky.
Space Marines are capable of fighting.
But the warning star is too big.
A population of over 100 billion, a deep-seated urban hierarchy, an underground structure so complex it's almost despairing, and the pollution, secret passages, bait, lesions, and traps left behind by heretics.
This planet is no longer just a simple fortress.
It is a continent of death, hollowed out by war and then piled up layer upon layer.
Calga took a breath, preparing to ask Lawson whether to redistribute the clearing and control zones.
But Lawson suddenly raised his hand.
On the tactical map, the gold markers representing the existing Imperial forces instantly dimmed.
Instead, countless new, dark blue coordinates have appeared.
Like stars falling to earth.
Calga was slightly taken aback.
"This is……"
Lawson offered no explanation.
He simply looked at the tactical diagram and said calmly:
"Begin wrapping up."
The next instant, countless dark blue static force field screens lit up simultaneously on the ravaged surface of the warning planet.
Reality was torn apart.
The first to step out of the light curtain were heavy giants that were five meters tall.
Their shoulders and backs were as broad as city gates, and their huge mechanical hands held heavy hammers, execution axes, adamantite tower shields, and exaggeratingly caliber molten weapons upside down.
Thirty thousand Xiong Guards, heavily armed, entered the battlefield.
Next came the second batch of troops.
One hundred and twenty thousand standard combat troops emerged like ghosts from the static force fields of various war zones.
Calga stared intently at the battle markers on the tactical map, which were increasing exponentially, and his expression finally changed.
He had seen the armed forces under Lawson's command before.
White Tiger, Red Dragon, Black Tortoise, Luan Bird, Bi'an.
I've even seen those reckless Flying Bear motorcycles.
However, this large number of main force troops has never been publicly incorporated into the nine major battle groups.
Varo Tigurius whispered:
"The Master of the Seal has been keeping the real main force hidden in the shadows."
Calga understood.
All of Lawson's previous deployments on Vigilant Star seemed to be stretched thin, as if he had already reached the limit of his troop strength.
In fact, he was holding that hand tightly the whole time.
why?
The answer is obvious.
Abaddon.
If the Chaos Warmaster had known the details of this massive army beforehand, he might not have been so arrogant as to personally descend to the surface.
Lawson is waiting.
After Abaddon disembarked from the flagship.
When the Soul of Vengeance was choked by the Void Claws.
When the massive Chaos Fleet completely collapses.
Now, the prey, its arms torn off, is escaping with its life hanging by a thread.
The flagship was captured.
The trajectory is set.
There is no longer any need for Vigilant Star to hide its trump cards.
