And so, the real executioner's blade fell.
The first to suffer a bloodbath were the Chaos Warband, which had lost its leadership.
Outside the Otek water supply area, a pack of Space Wolves is locked in a fierce battle with the Throat Rippers.
This group of Black Legion vassals was a mix of Khorne fanatics and traitorous Astartes. They occupied an abandoned pumping station and used the pipeline network to continuously attack Imperial water purification convoys.
The Space Wolves paid a bloody price to force them into the outer layer of the pump station.
Both sides were preparing to draw their chainsaw axes and engage in the most primitive close-quarters combat.
At that moment, three hundred combat troops stepped out from the static force field in formation.
Just as a Throat-Splitter Astartes sensed the psionic fluctuations behind him, he turned around and saw a gray-black warrior charging towards him along the ground.
"Die, you False Emperor's balls—"
The Chaos Warrior laughed maniacally as he swung his chainsaw axe.
The gray-black warrior took a half-step to the side.
The serrated edges grazed his shoulder armor.
In the next instant, his power axe slashed upwards, severing the Chaos Warrior's gauntlets. The axe blade then twisted, cutting into the neck seam of the warrior's helmet.
Less than two seconds.
A battle-hardened, traitorous Astartes clad in power armor collapsed like disassembled parts.
The space wolf that was about to pounce on it froze in place.
Another Khorne champion roared and charged, his chainsaw whistling wildly.
The five combatants instantly dispersed.
The two men raised their guns and provided millisecond-level suppressive fire.
One person ducked and slid in, cutting the cooling pipe of his power pack on his back.
One person swung an axe and severed the nerve in the back of his knee.
The last man, in the instant the target lost its balance, pressed himself close to the crack in the breastplate and fired the molten steel gun at point-blank range.
laugh!
The champion of Chaos had his chest burned through.
The charred internal organs instantly vaporized.
A young Bloodclaw watched this scene and couldn't help but mutter:
"By the Wolf King, they're not even wearing power armor?"
The leader of the hunting party could certainly tell.
This is the most chilling part.
Not wearing power armor.
Yet, with a precision even greater than that of a technical priest disassembling a servo skull, they ruthlessly dismantled the traitorous Astartes.
A throat-splitting veteran attempted to escape by crawling into a pipeline well.
Just as half of his body entered the well, a hand suddenly reached out from the shadows at the wellhead and gripped his helmet tightly.
The next moment, he was dragged out backwards.
Two combat units, who had somehow managed to flank the enemy, had raised their explosive guns, blocking all escape routes.
The pack leader gripped his chainsaw axe tightly and spat out a mouthful of saliva: "By Fenris's wolf grandmother..."
Bloodclaw, standing nearby, swallowed hard.
"Boss, what exactly are these guys?"
The leader glared at him fiercely.
"They're friendly forces!"
"Don't fucking ask stupid questions, just go and chop them down!"
"If we don't charge now, these gray-black monsters will slice off the heretic's head!"
At this point, the internal communication channels of the Throat Cutter gang had completely exploded.
"Enemy troops on the flank!"
"Damn it, there are enemy troops on our flank!"
"They're not wearing canned food! They're ordinary people!"
"Bullshit! Can a mortal shatter the Astartes' neck armor with a single axe strike?"
"They are not ordinary people!"
"Where the hell did this monster come from?"
No one answered them.
Only the sound of advancing battle formations could be heard.
Outside the Hongbei section, the Steel Hand also witnessed this unsettling efficiency.
An elevated transport line leading to the giant shield node has been repeatedly contested by the Dark Mechanicus and the Genestealers.
The Steel Hand originally planned to advance slowly with heavily armored formations, clearing out the support towers one by one.
However, once the battle sequence arrived, the pace of the advance was completely disrupted.
Swarm intelligence has already imprinted every possible ambush point, every abandoned pipeline, and every ventilation opening into the consciousness of each individual, like a holographic map.
The Dark Mechanic's automated turret had just emerged from the wall and its cannon barrel was not yet locked in place when several molten beams ignited its core logic engine.
The pureblood gene stealer screamed as it leaped out of the sewage channel below, only to be met head-on by three power axes that were already waiting in its path.
Cardan Stronos stared at the real-time feedback data displayed on his goggles.
A rare flicker of emotion appeared in his mechanical voice.
"The tactical response speed exceeds the average of the standard Astartes Company by 400 percent."
"This kind of execution is unsettling."
The steel hand reveres the rationality and efficiency of machinery.
But the combat efficiency displayed by this army composed of flesh and blood was so surprising that even these cyborg Astartes found it strange.
If this army wore power armor.
The quantity will be increased tenfold.
Stronus abruptly cut off the logical deduction.
Because the final conclusion is extremely unfriendly to any Imperial chapter that follows the holy code.
Compared to the precise slaughter in the city, the scenes on the orc battlefield were much more brutal.
In the eastern wastelands of Motwald, the Greenskin horde continues to assault the Empire's advance lines.
Even though the main workshop in Tankar Oil City was destroyed, the orcs still managed to cobble together several mobile workshops belching black smoke using scrap metal, corpses, stolen Imperial transport wagons, and burnt tank chassis.
The orc leaders stood on the roof of the vehicle, brandishing powered machetes and crude cannons, shouting and fighting fiercely as they charged toward the Imperial positions.
They love Space Marines so much.
I like tall knight mechs.
I love the roaring Titans.
I love all tin cans that can be hit, make a sound, and allow me to chop them up for a long time.
Then, they saw the bear guard.
Thirty thousand heavily armored giants, like a moving Great Wall of mithril, slowly rolled toward the green tide.
The first orc leader, his eyes bloodshot with excitement, charged forward at breakneck speed.
Its muscles resembled swollen, green lumps of flesh, and the large cleaver in its hand, crudely forged from the side armor plates of the Leman Rustank, slashed down with a chilling whistling sound.
"WAAAAAAGH!"
The large cleaver slammed down hard on the Bear Guard Tower's shield.
clang!
Sparks flew everywhere.
The sound was deafening.
However, Xiong Wei did not budge an inch.
Even the angle of the shield remained unchanged.
The orc leader was stunned.
Its supposedly superhuman strength failed to budge its opponent.
Before it could react, Xiong Wei raised the powered warhammer with one hand.
boom!
After a muffled thud, the orc leader's upper body exploded like a rotten watermelon.
The foul-smelling green blood and bone fragments splattered all over the orc lads behind them.
The green-skinned man fell silent for a moment.
Immediately, the entire green tide boiled over.
They erupted in cheers and roars ten times more ferocious than before.
"so hard!"
"so big!"
"strong enough!"
"Cut them to pieces!"
