The Lion King glanced at Lawson for two seconds.
"Even though you have the Claw of Horus and the Battle Axe of Angron, I still want to see your fighting prowess for myself."
Lawson raised an eyebrow.
The Lion King continued, "This planet still has a large number of Chaos troops stationed there. Do you dare to have a contest? In the same amount of time, who can kill more?"
Lawson laughed: "Lord Lion King has Forest Walk, which allows him to leap from shadow to shadow. His mobility is Primarch-level teleportation. Isn't it a bit unfair to compare them like this?"
The Lion King tilted his head.
"You do not dare?"
Lawson's smile deepened slightly.
"Then I'll play along with you."
The Lion King nodded: "Good, that's more like the spirit of someone chosen by Father."
He raised his greatsword, turned, and stepped into the shadow of the mountain wall.
His figure seemed to be swallowed by the forest, disappearing naturally from the shadows of rocks and pebbles, leaving not even the edge of his cloak behind.
Lawson looked at the empty shadow and nodded.
The forest walk truly lived up to its name.
Leaping from one shadow to another, the Lion King can arrive in an instant, provided there is enough darkness at the target location.
This mobility is unique even among Primarchs.
However, Lawson was not entirely unprepared.
The first batch of XV25 stealth reconnaissance mechs had already been deployed to the surface upon arrival in the Kamas system.
A large number of modified XV25s were scattered around six mining areas and three city ruins, all in stealth mode, silently infiltrating the outer perimeter of the Chaos faction.
The Lion King leaps using shadows.
Lawson jumps using a static force field.
Different starting points, same destination.
Kamas, Third Mining Area.
The Thousand Eyes Squad has established a medium-sized camp here.
More than three hundred cultists, forty horned orcs, twelve Chaos Space Marines, plus a sacrificial tower that is still in operation.
Outside the camp, an XV25 stealth mech crouched behind a pile of slag, its optical camouflage blending perfectly into the environment.
Static force field unfolds.
Lawson stepped out from the silver-gray light curtain.
Left hand: Claw of Horus; Right hand: Battle Axe of Angron.
He does not intend to use psionic powers.
Once the psychic energy field is deployed, it covers thousands of kilometers, and within the psychic energy domain, all chaotic creatures can be crushed to death remotely.
Since the lion king wanted to use a sword, he used an axe and claws.
fair!
The sentries guarding the perimeter of the camp were two cultists. They wore cobbled-together armor, carried crude automatic guns, and had eight-pointed star tattoos on their faces. One of them was stuffing a piece of meat—something he couldn't identify—into his mouth.
As Lawson passed by them from the side, Angron's battle axe swept across.
Both heads flew off at the same time, while the bodies remained standing. Blood spurted from the severed necks as Lawson passed them and charged toward the center of the camp.
The limits of mechanics are fully unleashed.
The first group of cult members is still inside the tent.
The tomahawk swept horizontally across the outside of the tent, simultaneously slicing through the canvas, the metal frame, and the six people inside.
The upper half of the tent tilted to the left, and the lower half to the right; the person in the middle didn't even have time to shout.
The three-headed, horned orc charged from the right.
They were over two meters tall, with human bones hanging from their horns, metal fragments embedded in their muscles, and foul-smelling hot breath coming from their mouths.
When the first one charged at Lawson, Angron's Battle Axe had already completed a full spin.
The axe blade entered from its left shoulder and exited from its right waist, cleaving its entire torso diagonally in two.
Internal organs and mutated tissue slid out of the incision, and the orc's legs continued to move forward.
The second head raised its massive fist, studded with iron nails, and slammed down.
Lawson turned to the side, and Horus's Claw slashed in from below.
Five finger blades simultaneously pierced the orc's jaw, penetrated his skull, and emerged from the top of his head.
With a flick of his wrist, Lawson ripped half a skull out with his claws, sending up a cloud of broken bones and brain matter.
The third one turned around and tried to run away.
Lawson took a step forward, and his battle axe cleaved in from behind, cutting down the spine all the way to the hip bone.
The orc fell in two, his entrails scattered all over the ground.
An alarm sounded in the center of the camp.
The Chaos Space Marines began to line up.
Twelve gray-black power armor suits converged from different directions, their explosive guns raised and their chain blades activated.
They move much faster and react much more sharply than cultists.
Leading the group was a champion of the Thousand Eyes Warband. His helmet had an extra eye on it, his shoulder armor was engraved with Tzeentch runes, and his power sword gleamed with a purple light.
"Enemy attack! One target! Head-on engagement..."
He didn't finish his command.
Lawson has arrived.
Angron's Battle Axe cleaved through the shield of the first Chaos Warrior, slicing him and the shield in two diagonally.
With a backhand sweep, the second-place man's waist was severed by the axe blade, and his upper body flew out and crashed into the stone wall of the sacrificial tower.
Horus's Claw was also operating in the left hand.
Five finger blades pierced the third-ranked soldier's breastplate, crushed the reactor, and were pulled out with half of his spine attached.
The fourth person fired from the side and rear. The explosive shell hit Lawson's chitinous inner armor, exploding into a burst of sparks.
Lawson thrust his battle axe out from under his arm, the tip piercing through the opponent's face armor and embedding itself in the rock wall behind him.
The fifth and sixth place finishers simultaneously raised their chain blades and charged.
Lawson took a step forward, the rocks beneath his feet shattered, and the two Chaos Warriors were jolted back.
The battle axe swept horizontally, and both heads flew up together.
The champion of the Ten Thousand Eyes Battle Team finally rushed to the front.
The power sword slashes down!
Lawson caught the sword with Horus's Claw.
Five fingers gripped the blade, and the champion's arm went numb from the shock. The purple light on the blade was like a candle meeting a furnace in front of the golden fire.
With a twist of his wrist, Lawson's Claw snapped the Power Sword from the champion's hand.
Angron's battle axe followed closely behind, slashing in from the left.
The champion's helmet, shoulder armor, and half of his chest cavity were cut open simultaneously.
The extra eye circled the cut surface one last time before going out.
The remaining five Chaos Warriors began to retreat the very second the champion fell.
Lawson did not allow them to retreat successfully.
Within three steps, five corpses lay in the center of the camp.
The blood on the battle axe and claws was still wet when Lawson turned toward the sacrificial tower.
An ax!
The tower broke in the middle, and the upper half collapsed with a crash, crushing the ammunition tent next to it.
The camp was quiet.
From the moment Lawson stepped out of the static field to the moment the last enemy fell, thirty-one seconds elapsed.
He glanced around at the dissected corpses and shattered equipment, making sure nothing was missing, then turned and stepped into the stasis field.
Lawson disappeared.
…………
Kamas, First Mining Area.
The shadows split at the entrance to the mine tunnel.
The Lion King emerged from the darkness.
The greatsword trailed at his side, and the edge of his cloak still carried the chill of the previous shadow.
Outside the mine entrance is a chaotic outpost.
The Mourning Guard deployed twenty corrupt Astartes and hundreds of armed cultists here to guard the slave laborers in the mine tunnels.
When the Lion King walked through the gates of the outpost, the first cultist sentry to see him didn't even have time to raise his gun.
The greatsword swept horizontally from right to left.
The force of the sword wind sliced the sentry, the sandbag wall next to him, and half of the iron fence in two.
An alarm sounded at the outpost.
The Lion King increased his speed.
He's venting!
