The Eldar are far more efficient at marching through the Webpaths than other races.
Three hours and seventeen minutes later, the team arrived at the Usvi Ark's network interface.
To be precise, it was the former network interface.
The connector is broken.
The frame of the spirit bone door was broken into several pieces and scattered at the end of the passage.
Behind the door frame was a dark gap, and the spiritual bones at the edge of the gap were charred by some kind of enormous energy.
Sounds came from further away.
Explosions, screams, metal clashing, the hissing of energy weapons discharging.
The battle is still ongoing.
Evelynn drew the Jena sword, its blade glowing with a dark purple light of deathly power.
"Go in!"
Er Gou had already reached the gap.
He peeked inside the ark, then turned back and laughed.
"There's a lot of fighting inside. There are demon engines propelling things forward in the main corridor, Slaanesh creatures in the right passage, and the Dark Eldar making noises in the depths on the left."
"Brothers!"
Eight thousand bear guards simultaneously raised their tower shields.
"Chop down Chaos, save Bean Sprout!"
The moment Xiong Wei rushed into the Usvi Ark, the balance of power on the battlefield began to shift.
The columbarium corridor is about eight meters wide.
It was spacious enough for Eldar warriors and just right for the three demonic engines that were propelling in parallel.
Close combat in corridors is the environment where Xiong Wei excels.
Across the corridor, three demonic engines were crushing the remnants of Usvi's Black Guard.
The Bear Guardian Shield Wall did not give them time to adjust.
The four behemoths advanced simultaneously, the edge of the tower shield slicing into the leg structure of the second engine like a guillotine.
The power hammer fell repeatedly, smashing it into a pile of smoking scrap metal.
All three demon engines were destroyed in less than ten seconds.
The remaining Black Guards, being crushed in the corridor, froze for a few seconds.
They were just putting up a last stand, prepared to die here.
Then a five-meter-tall behemoth charged from behind them and quickly dismantled the demon engine, which they had struggled to break through for hours, into scrap metal.
Titus followed the bear guards into the ark.
He already had his explosive pistol in his hand and immediately switched to combat mode after entering the corridor.
He completed his assessment of the surrounding environment the moment he entered the corridor.
The corridor was lined with Eldar corpses, the remains of Blackguards and civilians mixed together, some torn apart by the mechanical claws of the Demon Engine, others pierced by explosive bombs.
The walls of spirit bones bear large areas of charred marks and are eroded by chaotic runes.
Titus's gaze swept over these details without lingering.
His attention was focused on the advancing speed and fighting style of the bear guards ahead.
He was making an assessment in his mind.
Xiong Wei's power output exceeded his expectations.
Each strike of those power hammers carried an abnormally strong impact. The armor of the Demon Engine theoretically required anti-tank weapons to be effectively destroyed, but Xiong Wei could smash it directly with melee weapons.
Moreover, their collaboration is extremely smooth.
The four bear guards advanced side by side, their movements precise to the millisecond. Whose shield was in front, whose hammer was on top, who was responsible for the left, and who was responsible for the right—all operated in perfect synchronization.
This is not the level of accuracy that training can achieve.
Titus once fought alongside the Imperial Guard.
The Imperial Guard are the empire's most elite warriors, with unparalleled individual skills and teamwork.
The Xiong Guards in front of him were individually even stronger than the Imperial Guards, and together they were even stronger.
Ventris fired a shot from the side.
A Bone Apostle rushed out from the side passage and was hit in the faceplate by a bomb fired by Ventris.
The Iron Skeleton Apostle's reinforced armor blocked the first shot, but Ventris fired two more, shattering the skull behind the visor.
“Titus, stop staring!” Ventris shouted.
Titus regained his senses and fired his gun.
Two explosive shells accurately struck the neck seam of the second Iron Skeleton Apostle.
Neat.
Andros used his chain blade to cut down a demonic creation that crawled out of the pipe from behind.
Three Ultramarines formed a small firing point on the flank of the Bear Guards, dealing with the skirmishers infiltrating through the side passage.
Further ahead, Evelynn had already charged into the heart of the battlefield.
She was incredibly fast; the sword of Jena in her hand was like a living purple arc of light.
One of the Iron Skeleton Apostles raised a bomb gun and aimed it at her.
Evelynn accelerated forward, dodging the bullet at the exact moment it left the muzzle, and the Jena Sword sliced across the Iron Skeleton Apostle's waist.
The Chaos-enhanced armor crumbled like paper before the power of death.
The Iron Skeleton Apostle's upper and lower body separated, with its internal organs and demonic enhancement components sliding out from the cut.
Evelynn's next target is a demon engine that is attacking Eldar civilian evacuation routes.
Her figure traced a purple arc in the corridor as the Jena Sword sliced through the gap in the engine's mechanical legs, severing the connection between the core and the legs.
The engine lost its support and crashed to the ground.
Er Gou was three steps behind her.
He strictly followed Lawson's orders, prioritizing the safety of the messenger.
He led his Mastiff-type guards, forming a protective circle around Evelynn.
Any Chaos target approaching Evelynn from the side or rear was dealt with by the two dogs or the guards before entering within ten meters.
A Slaanesh creature leaped down from a crack in the ceiling pipes, its sharp claws aimed at Evelynn's back.
Er Gou's battle axe swept horizontally, splitting the Slaanesh creation in two from mid-air.
The two pieces of the body landed on either side of Evelynn, and she didn't even turn around.
Thanks.
Er Gou grinned: "This is work."
The battle continued.
The Bear Guardian Shield Wall advanced steadily along the main corridor inside the Ark, destroying the Demon Engines and Iron Skeleton Apostles one by one.
Upon seeing the size of the bear guard, the Dark Eldar raiders chose to quickly disengage.
Usvi's remaining Black Guard began to reorganize their defenses after discovering that reinforcements had arrived.
Some Eldar civilians were rescued from the sealed-off compartments.
They huddled in a corner of the corridor, trembling, their clothes torn, their bodies bearing burns and claw marks.
Some of the young cling tightly to their deceased mothers, refusing to let go.
As Everene passed through the evacuation route, a Spirit girl who had just been pulled from the rubble saw her.
The girl cannot exceed the youth period of the Spirit Race.
He had burns on his face, his left arm was in a temporary splint, and most of his clothes were torn.
Her eyes were red and swollen, clearly from crying for a long time.
Upon seeing Evelynn and the human army behind her, the girl's expression changed from fear to anger.
She broke free from the medic's hand, staggered to her feet, and pointed at Er Gou and Xiong Weimen.
Why did it take you so long to arrive!
Several Elven civilians in the corridor looked up.
The girl's voice was so sharp it cracked.
"You're so strong! Why did it take you so long to arrive! If you had come an hour earlier, or even half an hour earlier, my mother wouldn't have died! My sister wouldn't have been dragged away by those monsters!"
Her hands were trembling, and tears streamed down her burned face.
"You are murderers too! You are murderers just like them!"
"It's all your fault!"
Titus frowned.
Ventris's face also darkened.
Andros stopped and watched this scene.
Evelyn prepared to go over and comfort the girl, while also reprimanding her for her rudeness towards her savior.
But Er Gou is faster.
The battle axe swept horizontally across.
The spirit girl's body was severed at the waist, with the upper half falling to the left and the lower half falling to the right.
Blood splattered on the skeletal floor.
