The corridor was quiet for a second.
Er Gou's roar broke the silence, so loud that it could be heard throughout the entire corridor.
"Audacious demon! He actually impersonated an innocent Elven girl!"
He shook the blood off his battle axe and glanced at the Eldar civilians around him.
The civilians all shrank back into the corner, and not one of them spoke.
Er Gou sneered.
"The Eldar are always reasonable. To speak ill of their savior? Impossible! Only a Chaos Demon in disguise could do such a thing!"
He looked at Titus: "Don't you think so?"
Titus looked at the body on the ground, broken in two.
"That's right!"

Chapter 246 The Battle of Uvis's Ark!
The corridors of Uvis's Ark were filled with corpses.
The severed limbs of the Eldar guards and the scrap metal of the demon engines were mixed together, making it impossible to distinguish one from another.
Everywhere you look, there is fighting and death.
Er Gou's ruthlessness just now made many of the Spirit Race members much more obedient, and they began to cooperate with the transfer and evacuation, and the efficiency was very high!
Er Gou sneered inwardly. The boss had said long ago that these bean sprouts were all cheapskates and shouldn't be treated too well.
Swarm intelligence pushes the map ahead into Er Gou's brain.
"Ahead is a fork in the road. The left path leads to the outer ring of Ancient Soul Street, while the right path leads to the residential area. Proceed!"
The 8000 Xiongwei were divided into 16 combat groups and advanced deep into enemy territory according to the map pushed by the swarm intelligence.
Because of their enormous size, the bear guards move quickly, roughly, and brutally.
Everything that stood in the way was smashed to pieces, including the wall reliefs that the Eldar artisans had spent tens of thousands of years carving.
This pained many members of the Spirit Clan, but none of them dared to mention it.
After all, these people were reinforcements, there to save their lives.
Evelynne wanted to rush forward, but Er Gou forcibly held her back.
"The boss told us to protect you, so don't cause any trouble."
Evelyn's fiery temper rarely listens to advice, but she also understands that she can't be willful on such crucial points.
Evelyn walked in the gap behind Er Gou.
If any stragglers manage to get in, it won't hinder her fight.
Titus followed on Everene's right, Ventris on her left, and Andros brought up the rear.
All three Ultramarines underwent the Primal Forging Surgery, making them quite tall even among Astartes.
But their imposing physiques now appeared exceptionally frail in the presence of the surrounding bear guards.
Titus felt it was the first time he had ever looked up at a battle from this angle.
Because if he looked straight ahead, he could only see Xiong Wei's chest.
Just then, a mixed enemy force suddenly rushed out of the corridor ahead, with seven or eight demon apostles carrying melting-cutting spears at the forefront. Behind them were two demon engines that had been modified by the Dark Mechanicus.
The Demon Engine is nearly the size of a Dreadnought, and the plasma cannon on its back has begun to charge.
With his extensive combat experience, Titus immediately recognized that this configuration required the fire support of at least a tactical squad, as well as the direct confrontation of his two Dreadnought mechs, to deal with it.
He had already quickly simulated the tactics in his mind.
If he were in command, he would have his combat comrades spread out to draw fire. Then, he would concentrate heavy firepower on the joints of the demon engine, and finally finish it off with a close-range assault.
Without the support of the Dreadnought, Titus would be the one to finish off in close combat, although that might leave him seriously injured.
But right in front of him, two Xiong Wei rushed up and took down the enemy in 9 seconds.
The demon apostle was smashed into a pulp, and the demon engine was shattered all over the ground.
Titus glanced at the power sword in his hand, which seemed rather flimsy.
Evelyn was a little anxious, but she didn't want to rush her.
Er Gou's spider-eye ability keenly detected it.
He curled his lip and roared, "Speed up! Charge toward the core of this ark!"
The bear guards began to accelerate simultaneously.
A group of giant beasts charged at the same time, and the ground began to shake, with some of the spirit bone floorboards even cracking.
Titus and Ventris also sped up, their power armor's servo systems humming, but they were still able to keep up.
However, even if the bear guards jogged, their speed was about the same as when they charged at full speed.
It must be said that the Ark is teeming with demons. As soon as they entered a wide area, countless corrupted servants carrying heavy weapons rushed out.
The bear guards in the front row immediately expanded their formation from a column to a horizontal line, with their tower shields forming a continuous, impenetrable wall.
Sweep and crush!
With so many demons, some inevitably slipped through the net, rushing in from the ceiling or from high places.
Titus was fully engaged in battle, slashing and hacking with his power sword, and he severed the head of a Balrog.
Amidst the gushing blood, he rediscovered that familiar feeling; this was his battlefield.
Another Dhorne Hound charged at him, and Titus raised his blaster, firing three shots that blew the Dhorne Hound's head off.
Without a doubt, Titus's tactics were skillful; in the blink of an eye, he had killed several demons.
Just as Titus was charging towards another large fire demon.
From the shadows behind him, two Dark Eldar warriors suddenly emerged, their Dark Poison Blades already aimed at the gap between his power back reactor and waist.
The assassination attempt by the Dark Eldar was too sudden and too bizarre.
This crucial point is that Titus is in the post-attack recovery phase, his center of gravity is leaning forward, his right-hand sword stance is weakened, and the muzzle of his left-hand explosive gun is pointing in the opposite direction.
Titus noticed the assassination attempt by the two Dark Eldar, but his body was too slow to react effectively.
Just then, a tower shield swept across from his side and rear.
The speed was too fast; Titus only felt a gust of wind rushing towards him.
Then two muffled thuds were heard, and the two Dark Eldar who had assassinated him were struck head-on by the heavy tower shields and slammed against the wall like two rotten tomatoes.
When they slid off the wall, their original shapes were no longer recognizable; they were just a pile of mud.
Another bear guard casually swung his axe and cleaved the great fire demon fighting with Titan in two.
After rescuing Titus, the two bear guards continued forward without even stopping.
This seems to have been something they did on a whim.
It was like casually eliminating a threat to an allied force.
In their operational priorities, this is probably somewhere between normal advance and maintaining formation, and it doesn't deserve separate attention.
Titus didn't bother to say thank you; he drew his power sword and continued fighting.
But Andros, who was not far behind him, was not so lucky.
He was almost trampled by Xiong Wei.
As a bear guard swiftly cut in from the rear to fill the gap, the air currents created by his massive body as he turned nearly made Andros lose his balance.
Andros reacted quickly enough, trying to dodge to the side, but he misjudged the speed of the bear guard's movement.
The 5-meter-tall, 9-ton behemoth sprinted much faster than he had imagined.
Xiong Wei landed less than 15cm from Andros.
If that kick lands squarely, Andros will be either killed or severely injured.
Just when Andros was in despair, Er Gou's hand reacted much faster than his.
He grabbed the reactor frame on the back of Andros's power armor and dragged the Astartes priest behind him like a puppy.
Er Gou turned around and cursed angrily: "Are your eyes in your ass? Our heavy equipment unit is laying down a safety net and pushing forward, are you blind and can't you see the tow line? Are you standing on the main road as a crash barrier?"
Andros was so angry he almost got into a fight with Er Gou.
That bastard's words are so awful!
Ventris was positioned diagonally behind, and he witnessed the entire process.
Although she was wearing a helmet, her expression was not visible.
But a soft chuckle escaped from the communication channel within Ventris's company.
Titus didn't react to this; he couldn't be bothered to pay any attention to Andros.
Andros was a little angry; he was a chaplain in the army.
He held a high position in the company, and his duty was to stabilize morale when his brothers wavered and to raise the imperial banner when their faith was tested.
He also received rigorous priest combat training, and his fighting skills were above average in the company.
Yet, even someone like him found himself unable to find his place on this battlefield.
For him, the biggest threat now is not the demons ahead, but being trampled to death by his own troops.
In just a short while, Er Gou had already escorted the target forward.
Andros calmed himself down and silently followed the group. This time he learned his lesson and tried to stay close to the wall and avoid blocking the way.
The space in Uvis's Ark is still too large.
There was more than one entrance that was blown open by Vashtor.
The largest one has a diameter of over 2km.
