Warhammer: Empire Reboot

Taiwa led the remaining Imperial Guards to meet them head-on.
Battle is imminent.
Initially, the Imperial Guard did cause trouble for Mortarion.
When the Silent Sister's anti-spiritual energy field came into contact with the warp energy surrounding Mortalian, a violent clash occurred.
Mortarion was forced to abandon magic and engage in pure physical melee combat.
On a purely physical level, the Imperial Guard's martial arts skills were indeed perfect.
Teva and his brothers launched a textbook-perfect coordinated attack around Mortarion's massive body.
Two guards held him back from the front, while the Guardian's Spear pierced Mortalian's knees and abdomen.
The other two flanked him, slashing at the base of his outstretched wings with Castelan battleaxes.
Taiwa himself led the last of the Imperial Guards in a surprise attack from the rear, the spearhead aimed directly at the spine of Mortalian at the back of his neck.
The adamantite tip of the Guardian's Spear pierced the rotting flesh in Mortalian's abdomen, penetrating more than half a meter.
The Castelan battle axe cut two deep, bone-revealing wounds at the base of the wings.
The tip of Teva's spear pierced through the back of the neck, penetrating the soft tissue between at least two layers of vertebrae.
This attack would have been fatal to any ordinary demon prince.
Bayer looked at Mortarian on the screen and shook his head.
"It's no use. This injury is nothing to Mortalian."
Mortarion looked down at the Guardian's Spear stuck in his waist.
The spear shaft was still in the hand of that Imperial Guard.
Mortarian took a step forward.
Then the spear shaft bent.
He grabbed the helmet of the Imperial Guard with a speed disproportionate to his massive size.
The adamantite helmet shattered with a sharp cracking sound in the Primarch's hand.
The guards tried to let go and retreat, but Mortarian's fingers were already wedged into the gaps in his helmet.
"Crack!"
The golden helmet, along with the head inside, deformed.
The Imperial Guard's head was crushed.
The situation deteriorated rapidly after Mortarion became serious.
He swung the first knife.
The three-meter-long giant scythe created a sonic boom as it sliced through the air, sending two Imperial Guards who were trying to flank them flying.
One of them was struck on the left shoulder by the residual force of the scythe before landing, and his golden power armor was sliced open from the shoulder armor to the waist armor, cutting his body in two.
Tevard pulled the Guardian's Spear, which was still stuck in the back of Mortalian's neck, from behind and jumped back three meters.
The wound on the back of Mortarian's neck is already healing.
Bayer picked up his glass and took another sip.
"Mortalian is the most unremarkable of all the Primarchs. He doesn't have Horus's leadership charisma or the Lion King's martial prowess, but his stamina ranks first among the Primarchs. Nurgle's blessing has multiplied his already abnormal regenerative abilities several times over."
"These Imperial Guards will have a hard time killing him!"
The Silent Sisters' repression began to crack.
The Silent Sister's blank trait can gradually deplete the demon's energy reserves through the counter-attack, eventually suppressing it to the point where it can no longer maintain its physical form.
But Mortalian is a Primarch.
The subspace energy of the prototype is interconnected.
Mortalian's soul is directly connected to Nurgle's Plague Gardens, where there is a near-infinite supply of warp energy.
The Silent Sisters' anti-spiritual field was negating Mortarion's spell output, but Mortarion's energy replenishment rate was faster than the sisters' depletion rate.
It's like using a water pump to drain a river.
The water pump is working, and the water level will indeed drop temporarily, but the upstream of the river is connected to the entire ocean.
The first Silent Sister fell approximately four minutes after the battle began.
Bleeding from all seven orifices, his consciousness collapsed, and his body was swallowed up by Mortarion's Annihilation Field within a second after the anti-spiritual energy field was extinguished.
The second and third nuns collapsed within a minute of each other.
The coverage area of the psionic dead zone has begun to shrink.
The previously suppressed Nurgle spells have re-entered the battlefield.
The poisonous gas spread from around Mortalian, and the rotting aura once again enveloped the surrounding fifty meters.
The armor of the Imperial Guards began to corrode.
Dark brown spots appeared on the surface of the golden armor, and the spots expanded within seconds. The molecular structure of the deck collapsed under the erosion of subspace energy.
Three Imperial Guards lost their protection after their armor collapsed and were directly inhaled by poison gas.
Silently swung his sword twice more, taking away two Imperial Guards.
In the fierce battle, Taiwa demonstrated the combat skills worthy of the title of Shield Guard Company Commander.
His Guardian Spear found an opening in Mortalian's scythe arc, piercing the demonic Primarch's torso three times in succession.
The spear tip pierced through the rotting flesh below Mortalian's left rib, penetrating at least half a meter.
Mortarion's Dawn Lamp struck the spear shaft.
The adamantine spear shaft bent and deformed under the power of the daemon principality, forcing Tavar to let go.
The next second, the scythe cleaved down from above Taiwa's head.
Taiwa dodged to the side, the scythe grazing his right shoulder armor and slicing off the outer layer of armor.
Bayer watched as the numbers on the monitor screen steadily decreased.
Of the original twenty-four Imperial Guards, only eleven remain.
Only three Silent Sisters remain.
They are still persisting in outputting the anti-spiritual energy field, but the coverage area has shrunk to less than ten meters.
Bayer put the cup down.
"It's almost over"
"Even the Emperor's most elite Guards could not hold out for long against the Primarch. The nun collapsed from overload, the advantage was lost, and the outcome was already decided."
"Send a squad of new humans over there, don't let those Imperial Guards die too quickly."
He leaned back in his chair, his thoughts drifting to another direction as the battle scenes unfolded.
He knew more about the Primarch's genetic structure than any living scientist in the Empire, including Caul.
He can dissect every gene chain of the original, reproduce every biological detail, and clone the original's physical body with precision down to the molecular level.
Bayer cloned the bodies of Felus Manus, not just one, but several.
Height, weight, muscle density, bone strength, and nerve conduction speed are all identical to the original.
But those clones were given by Bayer to Forgrim, who had already fallen into the Slaanesh Primarch form.
Forgrim and Feralus had an extremely tragic history during the Great Rebellion.
During the massacre at Istvan V, Fugrem personally beheaded Feralus.
This incident became an ulcer in Forgrim's mental world that could never heal after his fall from grace.
He hated himself for killing his brother, but at the same time he was addicted to the ultimate sensory experience brought by that moment of killing.
Slaanesh's essence is the endless pursuit of the ultimate experience.
So Bayer offered Fugrim a service.
Regularly send out a batch of clones of Feralus Manus so that the Primarch can repeatedly experience the thrill of killing his brother.
again and again.
They would be torn to shreds in Forgrim's hands every time.
Then the next batch was sent over.
Bayer did not feel any moral discomfort when he did this.
For him, clones are biological materials.
Feralas's gene sequence is a string of data that can be copied infinitely.
What Foghrim would do with this data was beyond his concern.
After Bayer conquered the physical aspects of protocloning technology, his ambitions swelled to a dangerous level.
He wanted to create a Primarch "of his own," a super soldier with Primarch-level combat power but absolute obedience to Bayer.
He chose Horus's genetic template.
The reason is simple: Horus is the most well-rounded of the twenty Primarchs, with top-notch combat, leadership, and strategic abilities.
If he could create an obedient Horus, Bayer would possess an unparalleled weapon.
The clones developed perfectly in the culture dish.
Bayer spent two years completing all gene calibration and biological typing.
The moment the finished product emerged from the petri dish, Bayer confirmed one thing: he had achieved perfection.
The clone Horus is exactly the same in height, build, and appearance as the original.
The explosive power of the muscles, the pressure resistance limit of the bones, and the speed of nerve conduction all reached the standard values of the original body.
But it lacks one thing: a soul.
When the Emperor created the Primarchs, he not only used top-tier genetic biology, but also made a deal with the Chaos Four in the Warp, infusing high-level Warp soul energy into the soul structure of each Primarch.
