“More than a month!” Umbridge exclaimed.
She suddenly rushed forward and grabbed Praris's collar. Draco quickly stepped forward, extended his hand, and then withdrew it: "Professor Umbridge!"
“I need it tonight! Tonight!” Umbridge yelled at Prarese. “Where’s Snape! When is he coming back!”
Prareus weakly tugged at Umbridge's hand: "Professor Umbridge, there's no point in bringing Professor Snape back! It would take him a month to prepare the prescription!"
Umbridge's face turned extremely ugly. She shouted in a shrill voice, "Don't you have any reserves at all! Prince! You know, Snape is still on probation!"
"No...no!" Praris said, her voice trembling with tears. "This medicine is uncommon, and the dosage is very small. We've been working hard on the school clinic's medicine shortage recently, and we haven't had time to replenish this uncommon medicine..."
Draco had never seen Praris cry before, and his throat tightened slightly.
Finally, he mustered his courage and stepped forward to pull Praris aside: "Professor...you've frightened her!"
Praris immediately dodged behind Draco.
"Get out! Get out of here!" Umbridge yelled, realizing once again that this Slytherin prefect was utterly useless!
He can't speak properly, he can't do anything right, and he can't even make a truth serum properly!
Draco pulled Praris towards the door, and just as they reached it, Harry suddenly shouted, "Tell him! Tell him!"
“Tell who!” Umbridge looked urgently at Harry, then at Prairie. “Who is he? What do you mean? Prince! Tell me, what is he saying!”
Praris wished he could kick Harry Potter.
She gripped Draco's hand tightly, her eyes red-rimmed, and asked, "What? Which 'him'?"
After saying that, she asked Draco in a low voice, "Draco, is he really not mentally sound?"
“Exactly!” Draco said dismissively. “Potter, in his desperation, he wouldn’t have gone so far as to seek help from the Slytherin prefects!”
Pansy, Crabbe, Gore, and the other members of the task force burst into laughter.
Draco saw Pralis out of the office and patted her on the shoulder: "I should have just said I couldn't find Professor Snape... Humph, Umbridge was too impatient! Hey, stop crying, it's all my fault, okay?"
Praris wiped away the few tears she had managed to squeeze out with her index finger: "No, it's my fault—"
Draco was startled: "Don't do this! I...I...I'll go back to my office first!"
Pralis watched Draco flee in disarray, her heart filled with guilt. She had used Draco's feelings to get away with it.
Perhaps she also inherited the Slytherin's bad habits; Barrow the Blood deceived Ravenclaw, Voldemort deceived Helena, and she deceived Draco.
Praris turned and walked down the empty corridor.
The corridor was empty, just like her empty heart.
At the edge of the forbidden forest, it was already dark.
Hermione used Hagrid's brother Gropp to defeat Umbridge. The Weasleys, Luna, and Neville also arrived, preparing to leave Hogwarts on Thestrals.
Just as they had all climbed onto Thestrals' backs, a voice suddenly appeared behind them: "Hermione!"
They all turned around and saw a cloaked figure with a medieval mask covering her face, who looked like something from the House of Requirement.
“P—Talia!” Hermione looked at Harry with a conflicted expression, then at her.
The three of them, including Ginny, looked bewildered, not knowing what was going on.
"Let's go? Why aren't you moving?" Praris pulled a parchment from his pocket and threw it in front of them. "Impulsive, all you do is act impulsively! Every time you act impulsively, others have to pay a higher price for you!"
Everyone present was a DA, so they naturally knew what Praris had thrown on the ground.
This is a list of DA members.
Chapter 135 Mysterious Affairs Department
This parchment was left on the wall of the Room of Requirement during the last evacuation.
At the time of the incident, everyone was rushing to escape Umbridge's pursuit, and no one thought of this deadly list.
At this moment, the mysterious 31st person on the list suddenly appears here, holding their list, and stops them from going to find Sirius.
"Thank you," Harry said, leaving Ginny and the others completely baffled.
But Hermione, Ron, and Prareas themselves knew that he was thanking Prareas for what he had done for them.
Their first reaction was indeed shock when she agreed to serve Umbridge.
But Harry wasn't stupid. Calming down, he knew that Prader couldn't reveal her support for them yet, and that she was looking for a suitable excuse to reject Umbridge.
This thank you is both about the truth serum incident and about hiding the list of DA members for her.
After expressing his gratitude, Harry said in a firm and irrefutable tone, "We are all very grateful to you... Talia. But there are some things that have to be done, things I would do even if it meant risking my life."
“Yes! You’re willing to risk your life!” Praris stared intently at him. “You don’t value your life!”
“How ridiculous we are! My mentor, Dumbledore!” Prarees said sarcastically. “We valued your life, we risked our lives for you, and what did you do? You squandered our efforts without a second thought!”
"Don't say that about Harry!" Ginny shouted. "Harry's feeling bad right now!"
“I almost forgot about you guys.” Praris sneered, pointing at Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Luna, and Neville one by one. “Potter, don’t you care about your own life? Don’t you care about your friends’ lives? You’re taking all these people with you, leaving them to face unknown risks. Can you afford to take those five lives?”
Harry turned to look at his five friends—five members of the DA. Each of them returned his unwavering gaze.
“We’re willing, at least I’m willing,” Neville stammered. “The DA exists to fight the Mystic, doesn’t it? My grandma would be proud of me!”
Prareas looked at Hermione, who avoided her gaze: "I'm sorry..."
Praris finally looked at Harry, the leader of the group and the only one who could truly decide whether or not to take the risk.
“My mentor has already gone to deliver a message for you.” Praris stepped forward and said in a gentle tone, “Harry, you don’t need to go to the Ministry of Magic; it’s a trap. Do you really think you’re better than the members of the Order of the Phoenix?”
Harry frowned; his scar throbbed with pain once more, as if urging him on. He couldn't delay any longer, nor did he want to argue with Praris any further.
Perhaps she's right, perhaps listening to her will allow Harry to live a peaceful life...
But there are always some things that, in Harry's eyes, transcend his attachment to his own life. For example, the family affection he has had for over a decade.
He would rather risk everything for Sirius than wait hopelessly at Hogwarts, anxiously hoping for news that might never even reach him.
He had waited too long, and the days he knew nothing had been too long... Everyone! Everyone who, under the guise of doing what was best for him, had kept things from him far too many times.
Perhaps it really is for his own good! But even though everything involves him, he can't do anything about it!
This feeling is awful!
Harry couldn't believe Snape would go looking for someone to rescue Sirius. He knew better than anyone how much Snape hated bandits...
Harry shook his head, taking a step back on his invisible Thestral: "Thank you, Talia! I'm so sorry!"
Prareas stared at Harry, using Legilimency to sense Harry's thoughts. Harry, in turn, expressed his unwavering resolve to his Occlumency teacher without reservation.
No matter what Praris says, he will not waver; he is leaving now!
Humans are not magical objects to be manipulated. Humans have self-awareness, and they experience love, hate, and passion. Even with Prader's painstaking analysis and persuasive arguments, from Voldemort's plot to Dumbledore's demands for sacrifice, to the lives of his comrades…
She couldn't change Harry Potter's decision, nor could she stop him from fighting for his godfather.
A decent person will always make a good decision, even if the cost of that decision is a matter of life and death.
The argument seemed to last so long, but it actually only took a few minutes.
All Praris could do was pull a thumb-sized medicine bottle from his pocket and shove it into his hand.
“He asked me for this, and I didn’t even give it to him.” Praris took two steps back, looking utterly helpless. “Come back alive, don’t let everyone’s efforts be in vain.”
She stood helplessly at the edge of the forbidden forest, watching five shadows fly into the sky and disappear.
Humans are destined to die, just like a boulder rolling down a mountain, which will eventually fall to the ground.
But people are never willing to die like that. Time and time again, they face the boulder, face the inevitability of death, meet the challenge of fate, and push the rolled boulder back up the mountain.
Prarese could not deny Harry Potter the possibility of facing death.
Prader wanted to too! She wanted to subdue Potter and keep him in school! But there were five opponents! She couldn't possibly keep Potter out without either side suffering casualties!
All she could do was try to calm him down, to make him a little luckier, and to let fate show him some favor in his struggle against the boulder.
She was well-read, having seen countless reports about Voldemort. There were journalists who persisted in exposing Voldemort's crimes, only to have their entire families slaughtered, the sole survivor being the later editor-in-chief of the *Wizarding Family Gazette*. There were innocent wizards killed simply because they came from Muggle families. And there was more…
In third grade, she helped Draco win by using fake Felix Felicis. After the ball, as the box Draco gave her grew fuller, she made him a vial of Felix Felicis.
She secretly hoped that there would never be a time when she would have to give it to Draco.
The professor was very unhappy with her making Felix Felicis and refused to teach her how, leaving her to figure it out on her own. He didn't believe in fate, hated fate, and didn't believe that good fortune would ever come his way.
Now, Prarese has no choice but to give the Felix Felicis, which he originally intended for Draco, to Harry Potter in the hope that he will survive.
Voldemort was unpredictable and ruled with an oppressive hand, his life and death decisions existing outside the rule of law. If Voldemort killed Potter, Dumbledore's years of planning would be ruined, and Winnie and Priscilla would have no chance of survival.
After confirming that no one was around, Prarese pulled back her hood, removed her mask, and strode towards the castle. She needed to go to Umbridge's office to clean up the mess.
Prarees returned to the castle with a troubled heart, summoned Baron and Madam Pomfrey, handed over the Slytherin in Umbridge's office to the professionals, and then returned to Snape's office.
Prareas nearly bumped into someone before even stepping into Snape's office.
She exclaimed in surprise, "Professor! You're back! How is Black? Potter left Hogwarts and went to the Department of Mysteries!"
She always has the ability to explain the key points clearly in one go.
"What did you say!" Snape looked very angry.
Sirius Black is not at 12 Grimmauld Place; Kingsley, Moody, and Tonks are at headquarters.
Sirius and Lupin were responsible for protecting Purnell's safety; today was Purnell's discharge day. Sirius happened to walk in just as he heard the message Snape had relayed.
Upon seeing Snape, Sirius immediately engaged in a verbal battle with him, and Snape retorted without hesitation, mocking Sirius's inappropriate offense.
"The most urgent thing is to go to the Department of Mysteries to check things out, in case the mysterious people really do risk attacking the Prophecy Orb!" Auror Kingsley said. "The three of us should go back to the Ministry of Magic and see what's going on!"
Snape didn't witness Harry leaving the school, and the suspicious Moody objected: "What if this is a diversionary tactic! The Death Eaters are using Harry to lure us away so they can attack headquarters!"
“What if Harry really does go to the Department of Mysteries!” Sirius Black countered. “I know he has that ability!”
"Hey! Is anyone listening to me? Can't some of us go to the Ministry of Magic and some stay behind?" Tonks tried to speak up, but no one paid any attention to him.
“Perhaps I’m not in a position to say that,” Purnell asked the crucial question. “Aren’t you going to inform Dumbledore?”
The final plan was to first notify Dumbledore, have Snape return to the school to confirm Harry's whereabouts, and then everyone would begin their operation.
Snape immediately returned to Hogwarts, only to learn that Harry had already left the school!
“I tried to stop them, sir,” Praris said. “They insisted on going!”
