Perhaps Voldemort simply disliked Florin, so he kidnapped him—and might even kill him in the future, without needing any particular reason.

Ms. Priscilla survived because Winnie made a deal with Dumbledore, sacrificing her life to betray Voldemort once again.

The past actresses were Bertha Jorkins, Amos Diggory, Prim Purnell, Eileen Vance, and Amelia Burns.

Of these, only Ms. Priscilla survived.

Now, Florin and Ollivander's fates are unknown.

What about the future? The Death Eaters are still hunting down the traitor Winnie!

Praris wished more than ever that Voldemort would die quickly and completely, so that Diagon Alley could return to normal!

She once thought that the power she possessed was the allure of Mephistopheles.

Now she understood that the real devil was Voldemort, and it was he who was destroying Praris's peaceful happiness.

As the saying goes, some people bring joy wherever they go, while others only bring joy after they've left.

I'm sorry, Draco, Voldemort must die.

I volunteered to contribute.

“Even Gringotts… Gringotts has increased its security; it takes five hours just to withdraw some money,” Old Tom said slowly. “The goblins have the most sensitive ‘sense of smell,’ and they’ve sensed danger… Things have changed!”

Prareas wasn't sure whether the goblins had discovered what she and Dumbledore had done, or if they sensed danger.

Old Tom went on and on about safety, telling her that a minor shouldn't go out alone...

Praris wasn't allowed to leave the Leaky Cauldron alone, so he called the kitchen staff who was in charge of brewing and making pastries and asked them to call Heidi.

Heidi arrived shortly after.

Heidi wore a variety of strange jewelry, made of silver and copper, which jingled as she walked.

"What is this?" Praris asked curiously.

Heidi held up the jewelry and said earnestly, "These are amulets! The silver ones can ward off werewolves, and the bronze ones can..."

“It’s fake,” Praris said calmly. “There’s more copper, aluminum, and tin in this than silver.”

"How could this be!" Heidi exclaimed in surprise. "But that wizard clearly told me..."

“Silver is soft and leaves marks easily.” Praris poked her silver amulet. “This… I’d need a knife to make a mark.”

Heidi persisted: "That bronze can ward off Dementors and Shadow Corpses!"

Praris looked at her in surprise: "Your Defense Against the Dark Arts class was taught by Filch, wasn't it?"

Heidi's heart was completely broken. She waved her hand helplessly and said, "Let's go, I'll take you to change your school uniform and buy your textbooks too."

Diagon Alley has indeed changed a lot. The walls are covered with wanted posters, and several shops have been shut down... The whole street looks as desolate as a department store during the Great Depression.

The stalls that were originally supposed to be in Knockturn Alley have spread to Diagon Alley, where slovenly wizards sell their fake amulets to the occasional passerby.

Heidi stared wide-eyed, trying to find the wizard who had deceived her, but she couldn't.

“Tell me!” Heidi nudged Praris’s arm. “Is there anything real in here?”

"Do you mean real silver or a real amulet—the kind with protective properties?" Praris asked softly.

Heidi said, "Yes, all of them!"

“There’s no real silver,” Praris said slowly. “And no real amulets either, those things that look like runes—they have no meaning whatsoever.”

Heidi muttered, "I knew it... they're all liars."

"Miss!" one of the vendors said, "Buy a charm for your sister!"

As the vendor spoke, his lecherous eyes swept over Heidi and Praris's exposed hands and calves.

Heidi angrily pressed her hand on her wand.

Chapter 143 Things Have Changed

Praris held Heidi's hand and shook his head at her.

Heidi was pulled away from the group of vendors by Praris. She said indignantly, "Do you think I can't beat him? I was the third runner-up in the Duel Championship seven or eight years ago!"

Praris smiled at Heidi and put a finger to her lips: "Shh...listen."

About seven or eight seconds later, they heard terrified screams behind them.

Heidi's eyes widened: "You did this?"

Praris said calmly, “Instead of arguing with a peddler, let’s teach them a lesson…right? Let’s go to Mrs. Malkin’s.”

Heidi watched Prares walk ahead on his own, and she couldn't help but mutter to herself, "So cool, Professor Flitwick, I want to learn that."

Suddenly, Heidi remembered something and quickly chased after them.

“Praris!” Heidi exclaimed hastily, “Students can’t use wands during holidays.”

"Look—are those long-nosed dogs from the Ministry of Magic here?" Praris said nonchalantly. "Heidi, wake up, this is Diagon Alley... Besides, when did I use a wand?"

Praris spread his hands, revealing nothing on his clean, white hands.

"Alright, alright." Praris patted Heidi on the shoulder. "Don't worry, no matter what happens, Praris will find a way sooner or later."

Heidi followed Prarese in a daze, unsure whether she was the elder or Prarese was the real elder.

Did Old Tom call her here... to have Prarese protect her?

Seeing Prarese, Mrs. Malkin was also somewhat moved.

Prim Purnell always made every woman feel her favoritism towards women. Not a single female shopkeeper in Diagon Alley disliked Prim Purnell.

“Little Pryce, do you remember?” Mrs. Malkin said, recalling, “They used to bring you to my shop, and we would make your clothes ourselves…”

People who come to the store to buy school uniforms are always in a hurry, and no one dares to linger outside. Mrs. Malkin can't find anyone to chat with.

Prarese had always been good at making clothes, while Ms. Prie had learned it from Mrs. Malkin.

In the glass display case of the robe shop, there were also accessories they had made as practice—bow hair clips and silk headbands.

“Time flies,” Mrs. Malkin remarked. “When you first arrived, you were so thin and bony, like a refugee who had been illegally brought in. Now you’ve become so much better…”

“Mrs. Malkin.” Prareus paused for a long time, “This year, next year… and even after I graduate, when I’m as old as Heidi, I will ask you to make my clothes.”

It's like a promise, or even more like a beautiful expectation.

Mrs. Malkin paused in her act of taking her measurements, and said in a slightly hoarse voice, "Of course, of course, I'd like to."

Prarese left Madame Malkin's Robes shop with her new clothes in her arms, and then went to Flourish and Blotts to buy new textbooks.

On their way back, they passed by the Prim Purnell cosmetics shop, then by the Florin ice cream shop, and then by the Ollivander wand shop...

Outside the ice cream shop, Winnie once hugged a large skull cup and begged for free ice cream like a child.

Florin threatened to file a lawsuit, accusing Winnie of acting young despite her advanced age.

The next day, Winnie sat in front of someone's door eating iced watermelon and showing off.

At the entrance of Flourish and Blotts, Heidi once strongly recommended the Four Great Kings Stew to her, but the owner, Banlin, said he preferred the friendship theme of King Arthur and Merlin.

At the crucible shop, the owner, Patchi, had introduced her to a reliable herbalist.

At Slug & Giggs Pharmacy, Praris sold his first potion made by himself.

In the middle of Diagon Alley, Praris once opened his arms to embrace the summer evening breeze.

Praris felt a little uncomfortable.

Things have changed; Diagon Alley is no longer the way she remembers it, and the old friends can no longer be gathered together.

If this is the price of growing up, then fate is far too cruel.

Heidi was suddenly bumped into, but the person who bumped into her didn't apologize at all. Instead, he instinctively said arrogantly, "Who's the blind fool?"

Heidi, hands on her hips, retorted, "Maybe I didn't see you, but my mouth is much cleaner than yours!"

"Draco?" Praris's surprised voice rang out behind Heidi.

Draco had already transformed into a puffed-up pufferfish, ready to taunt Heidi at any moment.

As soon as Prarese's voice came out, his expression changed instantly, and he muttered, "Prarese, why do you always associate with this kind of..."

He looked Heidi up and down with a disdainful expression, and slowly uttered a single word: "Friend."

Heidi's eyes widened!

What does "he...he...he...what does that mean!"

Praris calmly replied, "Come on, Draco, I haven't even complained about Crabbe and Goyle yet!"

Draco actually thought about it for a moment and said sincerely, "That's true. We can't always expect the people around us to be at the same level as us."

What could Heidi say?

This guy actually looks down on even his own friends!

Praris thought to himself, "Young master, thank me! I never expected you to be at my level."

“Heidi Travers, an employee of Obscurus Publishing.” Prareus introduced Heidi to Draco.

Draco raised an eyebrow: "Travers, pureblood?"

Heidi gave Praris a reproachful look: "How could you have a friend like that?"

Praris responded with a look: "I didn't even look down on his friends!"

Heidi responded, "I admire you!"

“Draco, didn’t you say you couldn’t leave your mother’s side?” Praris sighed. “Now you are—”

Draco suddenly remembered what he had been rushing off to—he was hurrying back to the Transcendental Clothing Store!

Speak of Mrs. Malfoy, and Mrs. Malfoy will appear.

"Draco!" Narcissa Malfoy exclaimed anxiously as soon as she saw Draco. "Where have you been? Didn't I tell you you can't be alone—"

Seeing that there were other people there, Narcissa's anxiety quickly faded, and she put on a cold and arrogant expression again.

“Mama! I see my classmate.” Draco’s eyes flickered. “Perhaps you haven’t seen her before, this is Prasace Prince, the Slytherin prefect. Professor Snape thinks highly of Prasace.”

Prareus glanced at Draco.
