He lowered his eyes and whispered to Praris, "I don't think I can give you a definite answer right now."

“I never expected you to give me an answer so quickly,” Prarese said. “I’m not telling you the truth to force you to make a decision, am I?”

Draco was silent for a long while before saying, "I sent out the mead before that day."

“I know,” Prarese reassured him calmly. “Weasley has suffered a bit, but he’s alive and will recover soon.”

"Do you think I would feel guilty for hurting Weasley?" Draco scoffed.

“No.” Praris looked up at him slightly. “I’m trying to tell you that you didn’t actually harm anyone.”

Draco silently turned his head to the other side, momentarily losing his voice like the forest fairy Echo.

Prarese's charm lies in the occasional glimpse of tenderness beneath her aloof exterior. Everyone fortunate enough to encounter this radiant side of humanity will wonder if they possess something unique that hasn't been discovered yet.

"Draco!"

Crabbe and Gore caught up from behind, and they glanced at Praris almost imperceptibly.

Among them, Gore said cryptically, "Didn't you say you were going to stay with us...?"

Crabbe also looked at Praris, forced a smile, and said, "Praris, can I borrow Draco from you? We need to do some men's business."

Watching their clumsy performance, Praris raised an eyebrow, shifted her gaze to Draco, and asked jokingly, "Something between men...?"

What kind of excuse are those two idiots giving!

Draco suddenly got a little angry at the hallway floor. Why wasn't there even a crack for him to crawl into?

He glared at Crabbe and Goyle, then slowly said to Praris, "Uh, right. You wouldn't be interested in this. We're leaving now."

The feeling was truly indescribable. Even though Praris knew what he was going to do, Draco still had to keep up the act.

The three of them walked out, and Crabbe looked annoyed: "Draco, you should just keep your cold war with Praris! Take your brain out of your woman's bosom and shake it around, those gossipy women might find out what we're doing!"

Ha! Fool!

Why would it only be noticed after the Cold War ended?

She saw everything clearly when Draco avoided Praris!

"So what if I should?" Draco said impatiently, with a hint of anger. "Dare to talk about Praris behind her back like that? Haven't you learned your lesson yet? How many times do I have to tell you? This is my mission, and I don't think you have any way to guide me!"

Gore tried to smooth things over between the two: "This might not be without its advantages... I mean, we might be able to get Praris to make the compound decoction for us!"

Crabbe glared at Goyle fiercely: "I think you've gone mad from being a woman! You actually started planning this!"

Before long, Hermione was so angry she wanted to curse, looking sadly at Harry's swollen head.

This is truly... that idiot McClagan! I've never heard of a goalkeeper smashing a Seeker's head in!

Now, her two friends are lying neatly together in the school clinic, and neither of them is lonely.

“Well, we’ll be fine soon!” Harry said, trying to cheer up the heartbroken Hermione despite his dizziness. “Mrs. Pomfrey will soon have us all transformed… I suspect McLagan is jealous of me; he made my head look like a goblin’s.”

The goblin has a head that is disproportionately large to his body.

Hermione chuckled upon hearing this.

Seeing that her complexion had finally improved, Harry and Ron both breathed a sigh of relief. They had no doubt that Hermione had just tried to kill McLagan with a knife.

"Roro!" Lavender ran in carrying a large bouquet of tulips, calling out emotionally, "I'm so lucky, I finally caught you awake! Are you happy? I've come to see you!"

Harry felt even more dizzy, while Ron seemed a little awkward and couldn't help but glance at Hermione.

It wouldn't have been a problem if he hadn't looked. But that one glance made Lavender look at Hermione sitting at the foot of Harry's bed, and his expression immediately turned sour.

Hermione, on the other hand, was quite at ease. She calmly said to Lavender, "There's a vase over there. I think you might need it."

"Thank you!" Ravende said, his tone somewhat unpleasant. "I think I have eyes!"

She strode over to the vase, placed the tulips in it, then carried it to Ron's bedside and laid it down heavily.

Chapter 177 Ron and Hermione

Lavender plopped down on the edge of Ron's bed.

She was sitting right next to Ron, forcing him to pull his arm inward.

"Ron!" Lavender pulled Ron's hand out from under the sheet, held it tightly in both hands, and pressed her face against the back of Ron's hand.

“I’m not the first person to know this!” Lavender’s voice was sorrowful and melodious, like a bird singing in the forest. “If anything happens to you… my heart will wither like an autumn flower!”

Lavender sang like a leading lady on an opera stage: "I'm so worried I can't eat anything! But Parvati said I have to pull myself together to come visit you..."

cough cough-

Mrs. Pomfrey appeared out of nowhere and gently warned, "Child, I understand how you feel. But if you disturb the other patients, I'll have to ask you to go outside for some fresh air and calm down."

Harry and Hermione watched as Lavender instantly dropped her exaggerated expression, gently wiping under her eyes with the back of her hand and sniffing.

Lavender finally put away his theatrical supernatural powers, but then immediately started to get physical.

Seeing this, Harry quickly turned his head towards Hermione, who immediately lowered her head. The two met each other's bewildered eyes, seeing each other's unease reflected in them.

Ron was even more embarrassed; he seemed to only now realize that his public displays of affection with Lavender had gone a bit too far. So, he couldn't help but turn his head to the other side, unable to look directly at Lavender's flamboyant behavior.

Lavender's lips brushed past his face and froze in mid-air.

It wasn't until this happened that Ron realized what he had done. He hurriedly called out in a somewhat panicked voice, "Barron! Barron! I feel unwell!"

Barron, who was feeding Harper her medicine, quickly put down the small bowl in his hand, walked over, and stood on the other side of Ron's bed.

“Weasley, what’s wrong?” Barron asked softly.

Ron stammered, "My stomach feels a little upset, uh, I feel a bit nauseous."

Barron nodded and said softly, "I'm going to lift the covers now and examine you."

Barron is still too naive. If it were Mrs. Pomfrey here, she would have already pulled back the covers without a word, and while she was at it, she would have pulled back Ron's hospital gown too!

But Baron wasn't quite there yet. He gently pressed on Ron's stomach through the hospital gown and asked, "Where does your stomach hurt? Does it not hurt? What kind of discomfort is it...? Something strange? Can you describe it in more detail? Okay! Do you feel nauseous?"

Barron examined Ron's stomach and said very professionally, "I think it's because Potter used dung stones to detoxify you. If you don't have a good appetite or feel nauseous occasionally these days, it's a normal reaction, don't worry."

After saying this, Baron scribbled furiously on the parchment, then hurriedly ran to Madame Pomfrey and whispered something to her. Only after Madame Pomfrey nodded did he run back.

When Barron returned, Ron closed his eyes again. He said weakly, "Barron, I still feel a little dizzy."

"Dizziness?" Baron was stunned.

This seemed to be beyond his knowledge, so he hurriedly ran to Mrs. Pomfrey.

Not long after, Baron returned, but his attitude was no longer as gentle as before.

He said calmly, "Weasley, I've prescribed you some nausea medication. As for the dizziness, just get some more sleep."

Then, he looked at Lavender and said politely, "Weasley's body isn't fully recovered yet, so it's best if friends and family don't stay too long..."

Lavender was initially angry; she hadn't expected Ron to avoid her kiss. Was it because of Hermione? But they'd shared plenty of passionate kisses in front of Hermione!

But Ron suddenly called for the intern from the school clinic, which made Lavender anxious, preoccupied with Ron's condition. Lavender only breathed a sigh of relief when he heard Barron say everything was normal.

As soon as Barron finished speaking, Lavender immediately became dissatisfied, pointed to the opposite side, and raised her voice, saying, "But she got here before me!"

Lavender's thinking was clear: Hermione arrived before her and must have spent more time visiting her, so why should she be the one to leave first!

result--

Lavender and Hermione were asked to leave.

In the corridor.

Lavender thought, at least she wasn't the only one kicked out, was she? It was just a little sad that she hadn't been able to say more than a few words to Ron.

Hermione seemed somewhat worried. She kept her head down, lost in thought, and walked straight ahead without looking back at Lavender.

Lavender suddenly sped up, reached out to stop Hermione, and said somewhat angrily, "I thought you knew Rolo was my boyfriend!"

“I know,” Hermione said without hesitation, snapping out of her reverie.

“But you’ve been visiting Rolo all along!” Lavender said angrily. “Back then, Harry wasn’t even in the hospital yet!”

Hermione remained composed: "That's right. As a friend, I went to see Ron with Harry."

“Friends?” Lavender scoffed. “Come on, you two fell out ever since Ron and I got together! I haven’t seen you speak to him for weeks!”

“Yes.” Hermione found herself not angry at all; she only felt sympathy for Lavender. “That’s because I’m in love, and Ron and Harry are angry that I didn’t tell them.”

She said somewhat indignantly, "But I didn't try to hide anything! Boys are all so careless, yet they say I'm being unreasonable. I think they're the ones being unreasonable, so why should I apologize?"

Lavender was shocked; she hadn't expected the truth behind Hermione and Ron's cold war to be like this.

For a moment, she seemed flustered, her hands alternately touching the ends of her hair that hung down to her chest, and she stammered, "Yes, is that so... Who are you dating? How come I didn't know?"

“He went to a different school,” Hermione said, her tone unusually gentle. “It’s normal that you didn’t know. You were busy dating back then, weren’t you?”

“Yes! I misunderstood you!” Lavender’s expression immediately brightened. “I’m Ron’s girlfriend, aren’t I? I really love how passionate he is with me! Where’s your boyfriend?”

"He's a man of few words, a real quiet type, but he's very willing to share with me..."

After parting ways with Lavender, Hermione turned back to look at Lavender's bouncy figure, her eyes sparkling.

"That's not right at all."

Hermione angrily said to Praris, "Ron did it on purpose! He pretended to be asleep when Lavender came, and deliberately avoided Lavender's kiss, even though he kissed her so passionately before!"

Prarese hadn't expected the two-way mirror to reveal such a juicy scoop. She made a pause gesture: "After you misunderstood Ron and thought he won, he got together with Lavender—in a passionate relationship, right?"

“But you discovered that Ron was avoiding Lavender after he was injured, and deliberately avoided Lavender’s kiss. He also pretended to be sick to Barron to cover up his behavior.”

Praris exclaimed, "Your observation is truly remarkable!"

“I learned all of this from you.” Hermione lowered her head shyly. “You taught me that all the truths are hidden in the smallest clues. As long as you observe carefully enough and discover enough, finding the truth is not as difficult as I imagined.”

“You could have done all this without me,” Praris said with admiration. “After all, you’re already very talented.”

Hermione smiled sheepishly, but then suddenly seemed to remember something and asked Prareas, "Prareas, you seem to be more lenient with most girls than with boys... Is it because of your mother, Ms. Priscilla?"

This was something Hermione had never said aloud; she had a vague feeling about it but didn't know why. It wasn't until Harry told her that Prader was Mrs. Priestess's daughter.

That's right! Praris is completely influenced by Ms. Prie!

“You could say that,” Praris said again, “but my approval of you comes from the bottom of my heart.”

Hermione giggled happily: "Let's get down to business! Let's stop praising each other!"
