"Just for show?" Milison smiled knowingly.
Praris smiled. "It's always like that."
Praris walked Millison to the lounge door and gave her a high five: "I believe in you!"
"I believe in myself too!"
Millison took a couple of steps, then remembered Filch forbade them to chase each other in the hallway, so she stopped and quickened her pace. She walked and stopped, then turned back to cheer Praris on.
Praris watched her leave with a smile, then turned to go back to his dormitory to continue his studies, only to hear a grumbling voice coming from afar.
"Damn Potter!"
Draco and his two companions were covered in mud, looking as if they had crawled out of a mud pit.
Draco froze when he saw Praris standing in front of the gate, frowning at them.
Praris looked the three of them up and down: "Excuse me, but I can't understand your newfound hobby. Are you enjoying wallowing in the mud like pigs?"
Goyle and Crabbe ignored her taunts and chattered on about what had happened at Hogsmeade, about the mud that had inexplicably hit them, and Potter, who only had one head.
“We told Professor Snape!” said Crabbe.
"He went to catch Potter!" That's Goyle.
Only Draco shouted, "Enough!"
Then he whispered, "We need to wash the mud off our bodies first."
Praris obediently stepped aside to let them in.
As Draco passed by, Prareus whispered, "When you're angry, that's when you lose. Don't let this make you lose your temper, or you'll never win."
"Do I need you to remind me? Who do you think you are? Professor Prince, huh?" Draco glanced at her quickly out of the corner of his eye, then turned and sped away.
This year's Quidditch final was held on the first Saturday after Easter, and Prarese made a rare appearance at the event.
“I thought you didn’t want to come,” Pansy said, with silver and green striped stickers on her face. “Usually we have to drag you here.”
Praris nodded: "That's usually how it is, but this time the commentator is Millie."
This was very difficult; apart from Professor Snape, no one was initially willing to let Millison Burstd be the narrator.
The professors felt that Lee Jordan had been doing a good job all along and there was no need to replace him. Changing the commentator at the last minute, especially when the two sides were Gryffindor and Slytherin, seemed inappropriate.
Millison said, "I imagine what Praris would say at a time like this. I would tell them, yes, I am a Slytherin, that's true. Are you going to deny my abilities just because I am a Slytherin, professors?"
It is said that all the professors in the room fell silent at that moment.
Millison continued, "I say, professors, didn't Lee Jordan ever show favoritism? He made his stance clear on the field more than once, wasn't that right? If you think I shouldn't be a commentator, then you should let me commentate on a match with Lee Jordan, not because I lack commentary experience or because I'm a Slytherin. I cannot accept such reasons as grounds for rejecting me."
Milison did it on purpose. She knew that when the professors mentioned "this is a match between Slytherin and Gryffindor," it wasn't out of discrimination against Slytherin, but rather because they were afraid that changing the players would exacerbate the conflict between the two sides.
But this statement made it impossible for any professor to refuse to let her compete against Lee Jordan, and Millison earned her chance!
Milison and Lee Jordan commentated on an old Quidditch match, and she did a fantastic job.
Nevertheless, the professors still couldn't bring themselves to change the presenter, so Professor McGonagall took the initiative to decide on a two-person presentation this time.
“Bersd, cherish this opportunity. We believe you can bring a different perspective,” Professor McGonagall said. “It’s not that anyone doesn’t appreciate you; you’re good, but Lee Jordan has done well in the past as well.”
Millison, head held high, said, “Thank you for your recognition, Professor McGonagall, Professor Snape, and all the other professors. I will not let you down.”
Stepping out of the faculty lounge, Lee Jordan glared indignantly at Millison: "Bersd, do you think you can get rid of me just because you have Snape? I will never stop making my voice heard!"
Milison looked at him with disdain: "Nobody stopped you from making your voice heard. Do you think I'm a plug that can shut you up?"
“I was incredibly sharp back then!” Milison told Praris. “I’ve never said anything so powerful before; I almost felt like you!”
Her words made the Slytherin girls burst into laughter, and even Prareas couldn't help but cover her mouth and laugh.
Returning our attention to the court, Milison Burst and Lee Jordan stood side by side, clearly separated by a line.
Lee Jordan shouted, "Now we see Gryffindor coming in first!"
He read out the names of the Gryffindor teams one by one, and then said, "The students generally believe that this is the best team at Hogwarts in recent years, without a doubt!"
The Slytherins, of course, couldn't stand it and booed loudly, clearly very dissatisfied with Lee's statement.
Millison exclaimed, "Next up we see Slytherin: Flint, Miles... and Malfoy. They're full of fighting spirit and look incredibly confident in this match. We're sure to have a fierce and exciting contest. Let's wait and see!"
The Slytherins cheered loudly and clapped their hands.
Next, Mrs. Hooch asked the two captains to shake hands before the match. The two stood together, sparks flying.
"Three, two, one... beep—"
With a whistle from Mrs. Hooch, the two teams took off like flocks of birds taking flight, soaring into the sky.
Lee Jordan shouted at the top of his lungs, "We see that Gryffindor has the Quaffle under control right now. Spinnet is heading straight for the goal with the Quaffle. Well done, Arya!"
Millison calmly and loudly responded to Lee's cry of "Oh no—": "Slytherin's Warrington has made a very dangerous decision to intercept Spinnet so close to the goal, which could very well result in Spinnet scoring!"
"We need to watch out for Warrington. His size gives him an advantage, and the diminutive Spinnet is in danger! Warrington has successfully intercepted! He's now charging towards Gryffindor with his Quaffle! Gryffindor isn't giving up, and Johnson is starting to chase Warrington!"
Lee Jordan retorted, "Wow! -- That was a great play! George Weasley hit Warrington with a passing ball, Warrington fell flat on his face and lost the Quaffle! Johnson got the Quaffle!"
......
Dumbledore stood with his hands in his pockets, smiling, and raised an eyebrow at McGonagall: "Looks pretty good, doesn't it? We need to introduce some competition to liven up the kids."
Sinister chimed in, "A blend of professionalism and guidance, passion and entertainment. It seems that two complementary commentators can indeed bring some new excitement to Quidditch matches."
Although Sinesta bet on Gryffindor, it seems she still hopes Stella's former team can come out on top.
Professor McGonagall nodded in agreement, but the instant she nodded, Marcus fouled Angelina, Fred retaliated by punching Marcus, and Mrs. Hodge angrily blew the whistle to give him a free throw.
Senesta blinked and gasped, "That's so exciting."
Professor McGonagall looked worried.
On the field, Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy are both searching for the Golden Snitch, while their teammates are already locked in a fierce battle.
Gryffindor is currently in the lead, and although Millison and Prarees are in different places, they are both worried for Slytherin.
"Thirty to zero! Learned your lesson, huh! You despicable, shameless, and shameless lot—"
"Jordan!" Professor McGonagall was furious.
Millison steadied the throbbing veins on his forehead: "We see that Gryffindor is currently leading 30-0. Katie's speed is astonishing; she darted through the air like lightning to score for Gryffindor. Slytherin is currently on the back foot; the Slytherin players need to step up their game!"
Chapter 60 Seizing Honor
Above the arena, Potter suddenly became completely focused and charged towards the Slytherin team. Draco followed without hesitation, as if he truly believed Potter had found the Golden Snitch.
Potter's feint fooled both Slytherin's batters, Boor and Derek. Both tried to attack Potter, but Potter outmaneuvered them, causing them to collide.
Lee Jordan laughed loudly, "Hahaha, it seems Slytherin will need to set off a day earlier if they want to catch up with Harry riding his rocket crossbow!"
Milison couldn't help but glare at him: "A classic feint. Potter made a Seeker feint, luring two batters and one seeker, a plan to kill three birds with one stone. This move successfully evaded the attacks of the two batters and made them collide. Slytherin's teamwork needs to be improved!"
Draco was not affected by his teammates' mistakes. He followed the Slytherin plan, sticking close to Harry Potter while scanning the surroundings for the Golden Snitch.
Gryffindor takes the free throw!
Gryffindor scored!
The score between Gryffindor and Slytherin has widened to Gryffindor leading by 60 points! Just 10 more points and Gryffindor can start catching the Golden Snitch!
The Gryffindor students shouted their support for their team, and the Slytherins were not to be outdone. Even Prasris and Daphne were so excited that they stood up.
The game reached a crucial moment.
On the commentary stage, neither Milison nor Lee Jordan's voices were as clear as they had been at the beginning; instead, they had become somewhat hoarse.
Lee Jordan himself was so emotionally charged that Professor McGonagall confiscated his microphone.
Slytherin was at a disadvantage, and Draco should have been furious, angry, and driven to madness like his teammates, targeting their opponents. His mind was already racing, and those were the things he would have done in the past.
But Draco miraculously put all of that aside and suppressed his most primal impulses.
"When you're angry, that's when you'll fail. Don't lose your temper over this, or you'll never win."
She said similar things to him more than once over the past few months. It was as if, in her eyes, he was just a mindless beast controlled only by his emotions, who would lose all reason and fall into defeat in an instant if provoked.
That pitying look in his eyes, those patient and persuasive words from Professor McGonagall, which were like Professor McGonagall educating Longbottom, constantly irritated Draco's mind—she looked down on him and thought he was no good.
From first grade onwards, Draco felt more than once that this girl, who seemed to come from an unhappy family, had few friends, was physically weak, and had an eccentric personality, looked down on him.
What makes her so special?!
But it was she who stopped him from capturing Potter, who brought the dragon, saved him from being injured by the hippogriff, and saw through his soul.
This is constantly telling Draco, "Come on, she's just that smart, she sees right through you." So when she says you'll fail because of anger, because of targeting Potter, you really will fail because of those things.
Harry Potter made another sprint, and Draco instinctively wanted to bend down to catch up with him, while also keeping an eye on searching for the Golden Snitch.
This is still below 70, right?
Prareas said that under these circumstances, Potter definitely had no intention of catching the Golden Snitch.
A faint golden light flashed in the opposite direction.
Draco's eyes widened, and almost without hesitation, he deviated from his original path and rushed towards that direction.
Harry Potter didn't expect his feint to distract Draco to be seen through, so he immediately changed direction and rushed towards Draco. The rocket crossbow was very fast, and gradually closed the distance between the two.
Boor hit Harry with a running ball, but Harry ducked on a broom to avoid it.
Fred hit another lob, which Draco luckily dodged.
The two Seekers are getting closer and closer to the Golden Snitch.
Do you like to run away from things?
"Have you finished your loser's declaration?"
"I'm waiting—"
"Waiting for Slytherin's victory—"
Finally, it was Praris's voice that reached his ears.
That gentle, warm, firm voice, tinged with the bitter scent of herbs and parchment, said: “This is Felix Felicis. You know, I have a knack for potions. Drink it before the match, trust your heart in the crucial moment, don’t hesitate, and you will win.”
Draco couldn't explain his behavior. He had hardly suffered any hardship as a child, so he was afraid of pain and death. His desires were also well satisfied by his parents, so even the slightest dissatisfaction would cause him to break down his defenses.
