HP North Star's Radiance

Lily was his anchor in the past, showing him the way he came.
But on that winter night, Dumbledore said to him lightly, "Severus, we can't keep looking back."
Dumbledore then said to him, “We always yearn for new life, and those children have something in them that we don’t have. I call it hope.”
So, he became obsessed and wrote his first letter.
His guilt towards Lily made him look back on the past, allowing him to gradually redeem his soul, while his sense of responsibility towards his two children compelled him to move forward.
"Can't we not make a choice?" Praris said something unusually nonsensical. "Anyway, nothing has happened yet, has it? Maybe that person is already dead."
Snape said, "I don't think I ever taught you to run away."
“Sir, but reality has taught me a lesson,” Prarese said. “Dumbledore won’t do anything to you, but if the Man from Nowhere were to come back to life, he certainly would.”
Praris pleaded with him, "Why do you have to do this? We can simply wait, wait for the outcome, and then choose which side to take, can't we?"
Hate cannot force a person to open their mouth, but the plea of love makes a person irresistibly reveal their true feelings.
“No.” Snape closed his eyes. “Like that letter, miss. It was my conscience, my conscience that made the choice for me.”
Praris was utterly speechless at his words.
These were words she could never refute in her entire life, just as she could never deny her own existence.
“I understand,” Praris said in a hoarse voice. “I won’t be a burden to you.”
"..."
This was their first candid conversation, and one that Snape was forced to have.
She's too clever; lies are like a clumsy magic trick to her.
If she doesn't explain things clearly, she might make the wrong decision, or even hurt our teammates.
Then there's the thought of her mind combined with the mass destruction magic Winnie Brown might have taught her—Snape had a headache, but no right to interfere, after all, he himself had taught her quite a bit.
Slytherin common room.
Praris moved a small leather stool to sit in front of the fireplace and idly poked at the embers with tongs.
On the sofa behind her, Pansy gestured to Draco with her eyes.
"Did you get sand in your eyes?" Draco asked.
Pansy clenched her fist, telling herself to calm down.
She let out a long sigh, pointed at Praris, and mouthed: She's in a bad mood!
To make Draco understand, she even made a "crying" gesture.
Draco understood and suddenly stood up, startling Pansy.
Pansy could only repeatedly tell herself: This is your childhood friend, you can't hit him! You can't hit him!
"Cough-cough-"
Draco got straight to the point: "You're not happy?"
Pansy still felt like punching him. Two or three years ago, she probably never imagined she would have such thoughts.
“Yes, I’m not happy,” Praris replied.
Draco removed the cufflink from his coat. He tapped it lightly with his wand, and the cufflink transformed into a white flower: "If you ask me—staying here watching the fire won't improve your mood. How about going for a walk?"
Praris looked at him, then at the flower.
She and Winnie had seen this flower when they were shopping; it's called the Polaris Rose, and it was very popular in London in 1984.
Winnie immediately stopped talking at this point, because 1984 was the year Sylvia went to prison.
Fool.
Praris reached out and took the rose, turning its stem in her hand: "Let's go."
Pansy watched incredulously as the two walked out of the common room.
Merlin, has Draco finally seen the light, or has Pray just taken pity on you?
Time flies! In the blink of an eye, Christmas is less than a week away.
The Scottish Highlands in winter have a desolate and bleak feel, with most of the leaves gone and the conifers and shrubs covered with a light layer of white.
Winter at Hogwarts isn't always sunny. When the sun isn't out, a thin mist rises from the Black Lake and the Forbidden Forest, obscuring the distant mountains.
Draco began to doubt his decision to invite Praris out. In this freezing weather, he'd actually invited someone out into the cold!
Love makes people clumsy.
The two of them didn't say a word, just kept walking forward, strolling through the snow, their feet sinking deep into the ground.
They walked all the way to the edge of Black Lake and saw Durmstrang's large ship.
"What is that?" Praris asked, somewhat doubting his own eyes.
Several young male students took off their shirts and lined up naked to jump into the Black Lake?!
Draco's eyes widened, his hands almost blurring through the air. After a few seconds of frantic movement, he covered Praris's eyes.
Draco exclaimed urgently, "What...what are you looking at! They're naked!"
Praris couldn't help but wonder why a pale and thin boy like Draco had warm hands.
So she didn't struggle and let Draco cover her face until he realized what he had done.
Durmstrang's students all went into the water, and Draco hesitated before finally lowering his hand.
"She has a great figure," Praris commented. "I just couldn't see her clearly."
There was no shortage of regret in her tone.
Draco sneered, "Looks like I've stopped you from 'enjoying the scenery,' haven't I?"
"It's alright, you're feeling pretty good too, you're warm."
To be fair, Prareas also gave Draco a comment.
Draco laughed in exasperation.
Which girl at Hogwarts is as roguish as her?!
Myrtle?
Do scoundrels always become friends with other scoundrels?
Seeing Draco's contorted expression, Praris felt much better.
Draco didn't know what had happened either. Perhaps because she had acted like a scoundrel, Praris's mood visibly improved. She lowered her head and walked back, step by step, following in their footsteps.
Draco said behind her, "I said."
"Hmm?" Praris responded without turning his head.
Draco had been struggling with this decision for a long time.
Professor Snape announced the Christmas ball during Potions class. From then on, all the older boys were asking for their partners.
In Draco's eyes, Prareas was flirting with Miles, and Miles would definitely invite her. She didn't seem like the type to care who her dance partner was, so she was highly likely to agree to Miles's invitation, perhaps even happy that he had solved a problem for her.
Inviting her would be utterly humiliating!
Draco was disheartened by how well he knew the man.
But what if—what if she accepted?
Draco had something he couldn't say aloud, something he only allowed his heart to hear: if he had the chance to dance with this wicked guy, then losing face wouldn't be a big deal.
He's backed down so many times, as Pansy says, "You have to stand up for yourself this once, right?"
“I said,” Draco suddenly raised his voice, “I’ve been too busy lately and haven’t asked for a dance partner yet. Would you be interested in being my dance partner?”
Prareas stopped in her tracks, realizing she had stepped in the wrong footprint. It was Draco's footprint, larger than hers.
“I can’t dance,” Prarese said.
Draco walked step by step toward the girl whose back was to him: "I said this two years ago: 'There's always something you can't do.' Coincidentally, I can. Don't you want to learn something new?"
Prareas thought to himself, Draco must be mistaken.
Two years ago, he said, "There will always be times when you don't know."
Prarese thought back to what Pence had once told her: "Love is the most dangerous thing in the world. It can make even the most rational person lose their mind, do things they shouldn't do, and make mistakes they wouldn't normally make."
Before saying this, Pansy told Praris that she had accepted Jacob's invitation to the ball.
The silence was long, so long that Draco almost wanted to escape. Whether he agreed or refused, he just wanted the judge's gavel to fall quickly and decide his fate.
Praris finally spoke up, saying, "Next time you invite me, please just say you want to invite me."
Draco suddenly hoped the judge would show leniency: "So?"
“What do you intend to teach me?” Prarese said. “Tell me, Mr. Malfoy.”
thump—
The judge's gavel fell heavily, and she ruled in favor of Draco Malfoy.
This was an evening destined to be unsettling for many Hogwarts students.
Harry was rejected by Cho Chang because she accepted Cedric's invitation; Ron was rejected by Fleur because she wanted to invite Cedric; Fleur was rejected by Cedric because he invited Cho Chang; Neville and Ron were rejected by Hermione because she accepted Krum; Ginny rejected the invitation Ron made on behalf of Harry because she accepted Neville's invitation.
And Draco? He held Praris's hand, wrapped his arm around her waist, and swallowed his sweet vexation.
Draco thought he should have realized Prarese's poor athletic ability when he learned she needed to take flight lessons.
A magical violin accompanied the two, playing "Salut d'Amour" by the British composer Edward Egall. The original piece was in 2/4 time, but he changed it to 3/4.
"Uh, sorry?"
Prareas stepped on Draco's foot again while turning right.
Draco sighed, frantically telling himself: You asked for this! You asked for this!
He said, unusually tactfully, "I should be grateful, at least you're not wearing high heels right now, are you?"
“Should I say, ‘You’re welcome’?” Praris said.
Draco covered his face. Couldn't there be even one romantic moment like he imagined?!
