Pirates on Rocks' Ship 996

Just as Zeff returned to the warship and was about to set sail, Whitebeard attacked. If he abandoned Zeff and left on his own at this moment, and something happened to Zeff, his life would basically be over.
Therefore, he will not allow the warships to actually set sail until Whitebeard and Zephyr have determined a victor.
However, they couldn't get involved in the battle between Whitebeard and Zephyr, so they couldn't help Zephyr at all.
"Sir, that child was brought here by Whitebeard!" At this moment, a soldier pointed at Marco, who was hiding in the port watching the battle, and said to his adjutant.
"Very good, bring him here!" The adjutant's eyes lit up, and he ordered his subordinates.
So the group of naval soldiers bypassed the area where Zephyr and Newgate were fighting and headed towards Marco.
Marco and Newgate both noticed the Navy's movements, but Newgate was tied up with Zephyr and couldn't go to Marco's aid.
Fortunately, Marco is not without the power to fight back. Having mastered his Devil Fruit abilities, Marco now possesses considerable combat strength.
Seeing that Marco was temporarily unharmed, Newgate focused his attention on fighting Zephyr. Only by eliminating Zephyr could he rescue Reina and ensure Marco's safety.
After regaining some of his strength, Reina began to perform.
"Cough cough cough... Can... could you give me some water?" Lying on the ground, Reina said weakly to the navy guarding him.
The naval soldier hesitated for a moment, then said, "You wait!"
Then he actually went to fetch some water, opened the cell door, and came over to feed it to Reina.
After all, he looked like he could die at any moment, posing no danger whatsoever.
He silently apologized to the naval soldier who had entered, then knocked him unconscious with a single blow. He then prepared to take off the soldier's clothes and put them on himself, but the handcuffs were in the way and he couldn't change his clothes at all.
Reina searched around but couldn't find the key. Helpless, he had to give up his idea of disguising himself as a navy officer.
By the time he emerged from the cabin, he had knocked out almost all the sailors inside.
Reina didn't kill him on the spot, and the naval soldiers didn't make things difficult for him, so he didn't kill the soldiers either. Unfortunately, he couldn't find the key to the handcuffs after searching around.
He glanced outside and saw that Zephyr was fighting Whitebeard Newgate. The two seemed to be evenly matched, and it was impossible to determine a winner for the time being.
On the other side, Zephyr's adjutant personally led his men to besiege Marco. At this point, Marco was in grave danger, causing Reina, who was preparing to escape, to stop in his tracks.
"That idiot, why isn't he using his abilities to escape? What is he doing here?" Seeing that Marco clearly had a chance to escape but didn't, instead fighting to the death with the Navy, Reina was so anxious that he wanted to rush out and kick him.
"Huh?" Just then, a new change occurred on Marco's side. A boy about the same age as Marco rushed out with two weapons and helped Marco knock down many of the naval soldiers.
However, Zephyr's lieutenant was quite strong; even Marco and the suddenly appearing boy were only able to hold him off.
However, there were still many naval soldiers around. As time went on and their physical strength declined, they would inevitably be captured.
Newgate seemed to have noticed this as well, and his attacks became even more aggressive, mostly using a strategy of trading blows for damage, which made it difficult for Zeff to adapt, and he was quickly suppressed by Newgate.
We need to think of something!
Reina looked around at the situation outside, and then his eyes suddenly lit up.
Raina stealthily jumped into the sea from the stern and slowly swam towards the shore. At this moment, his lieutenant Zephyr was fighting Marco with his back to the shore, completely unaware that someone would be attacking him from behind.
Reina, who had climbed out of the water, launched a sneak attack on Zephyr's lieutenant, smashing the man's sea stone handcuffs directly onto his head, knocking him unconscious with a single blow.
"Quick! Marco, get on board, get ready to set sail!" Reina shouted to Marco, disregarding everything else.
Reina's sudden appearance startled Marco and the boy, but upon seeing that it was Reina, Marco was overjoyed and grabbed the boy who had just helped him, running towards the pirate ship.
Reina, holding Zephyr's first mate hostage, forced the nearby navy to leave, then shouted at Zephyr, "Lord Zephyr, you don't want anything to happen to your men, do you? To thank you for sparing my life earlier, I don't want to harm your men. Now that our captain is here, you alone have no chance of taking us down. How about we call it quits?"
Zeff and Whitebeard Newgate were also startled by Reiner's sudden appearance, so the two had already separated.
“Red-Eyed Reina… release Lieutenant Karadan!” Zefa shouted as soon as he saw the lieutenant being held hostage by Reina.
“Don’t worry, he just fainted and is not in any danger. The soldiers on your ship are the same! My request is simple: give me the key, and we’ll leave immediately! How about it?” Reina said with a smile.
Zephyr was silent for a moment before speaking, "The key is with Karadan!"
Reina's face darkened; he hadn't expected that he had already obtained the key to the key.
After getting the key from Karadan's adjutant and unlocking the handcuffs, Reina felt much more at ease.
"Thank you, Lord Zephyr. I keep my word..." With that, Reina tossed Karadan to Zephyr and then slowly walked toward Newgate.
"Little brother, are you alright?" Newgate asked with a worried look when he saw Reiner coming over.
"Don't worry, brother. Lord Zephyr showed mercy and didn't do anything to me!" Reina shook his head and said.
"That's good! Hmph, if anything happens to you, I'll slaughter all these marines today!" Newgate said domineeringly.
“Brother, it’s not a good time to clash with the navy. Let’s leave first!” Seeing that Marco had already lowered the mainsail, Reina looked at Zephyr, who looked unwell, and said to Newgate.
Seeing that Reina was alright, Newgate didn't dare to cause any more trouble. After returning to the pirate ship with Reina, he called out to Zephyr, "Zeffa... we didn't settle things today, but there will be plenty of opportunities on the high seas in the future! I hope you'll have such good luck next time!"
"Hmph!" Zefa snorted coldly, without answering.
His strength is basically at its peak, but Edward Newgate's strength is still increasing, so it's really hard to say what will happen when they meet next.
"Phew~ What terrible luck! I ran into the Marines right after you left. I was fine at first, but then the Marines recognized me. My bounty might go up again after this. Ugh~ What a headache!" After the pirate ship left the port, Reina briefly explained what had happened, then pretended to be disappointed as he spoke to Marco.
However, his expression betrayed him deeply; anyone with eyes could see that he was smug, because his bounty was about to increase again.
Marco, with his eyes squinted, ignored Reina and began to heal Reina's injuries with blue flames.
"Brother Newgate...is this our new partner?" Reina asked curiously, looking at the somewhat reserved dual-wielding swordsman.
Chapter 32 Vista the Fencing
To Reina's surprise, Newgate and Marco did not know each other.
"You mean... you don't know him? Then why did you bring him on board?" Reina asked Marco, speechless.
When he first met this dual-wielding swordsman, he guessed that the other party might be Vista, the future fifth division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates.
It turns out that's not true.
"Um... I'm sorry! My companion brought you aboard the ship without your permission. If you don't want that, we'll take a detour and send you back to the island!" Reina tapped Marco on the head as punishment before speaking to the dual-wielding swordsman.
“No need for all that trouble! Little one…would you like to be my son?” Newgate asked the swordsman directly.
"Isn't this a pirate crew?" the dual-wielding swordsman asked in surprise.
“That’s right, we are indeed a pirate crew, but my older brother’s dream is to build a family on the sea, where everyone on the ship is family!” Reina explained with a smile.
"My name is Vista, and I want to become a pirate!" Vista hesitated for a moment before speaking.
Reina's eyes lit up. It was indeed Vista, the flower swordsman. He was a swordsman who would rival Hawkeye in the future!
He was just about to agree to let the other man stay when Newgate spoke first: "You can stay as an apprentice crew member, but if I don't think you're good enough to be part of my family, I'll throw you overboard! How about that?"
After thinking for a moment, Vista nodded and said, "Okay!"
Newgate originally planned to throw a party to celebrate the addition of a new member, but in order to rescue Reina, they only had alcohol and nothing else to buy. So, let alone a party, even food was a problem.
"Alright, let's all rest for a bit today. I'll figure out the food problem!" Reina introduced the three of them to Vista before speaking.
"How about we go back now? We haven't gone very far anyway. If we act together this time, I don't believe those navy men will dare to make a move!" Marco said with a hint of arrogance.
Although this was his first time taking action, he relied on his abilities to defeat many naval soldiers, which gave him great confidence.
"Forget it! Zefa isn't so easy to deal with!" Reina thought for a moment, then shook his head and said.
"So what are you planning to do? We only have enough food for three days!" Marco rolled his eyes and asked.
Reina smiled and took out the bait he had just redeemed from the shop, saying, "Simple, your task for the two trainee crew members today is fishing!"
Newgate frowned as soon as he saw Reiner take out the bait.
It's nothing else, but back on the ship Lox, it was because of Reina's bait that everyone had to eat fish for a long time, which has given him a bit of a phobia of fish bait now.
"Fishing? That's too childish! What if you don't catch anything? You'll starve to death!" Marco said, his eyelids drooping, somewhat incredulous.
"Don't worry, this is my special bait. Even an idiot can catch fish. If you don't believe me, go and try it!" Reina said with a smile, shoving the fishing rod into Marco and Vista's hands.
Although it seemed a bit risky, Reina handed them the fishing rod and bait and then left with Newgate, so Marco and Vista had no choice but to give it a try.
“Brother Newgate…look!” Reina excitedly stretched out his right arm to show Newgate the Armament Haki covering it.
"Oh? You can already use Armament Haki? What about Observation Haki? Has it awakened?" Newgate asked with a smile when he saw the Armament Haki on Reina's right arm.
He had already told Reina about the training method of Haki. Although Reina's physical fitness had met the requirements, he was still unable to develop Armament Haki. He thought that Reina did not have the talent in this area.
Unexpectedly, this misfortune turned into a blessing in disguise, allowing Reina to master the use of Armament Haki.
"I somehow mastered it after fighting Zephyr! As for Observation Haki... I haven't awakened it yet!" Reina shook his head and said.
"Now that you've mastered Armament Haki, all you need to do is train step by step. But don't forget, the body is the foundation of everything. Without a strong body, no matter how talented you are, it's useless!" Newgate warned.
"Yes, I understand, brother! Don't worry, I won't give up my physical training!" Reina nodded and said.
The two were still discussing their experiences in cultivating Haki when they heard Marco shouting on the deck outside. Newgate gave a wry smile and said, "Looks like we'll really be eating fish for a while!"
"Don't worry, brother, I'll make a new way to eat it tonight. Maybe you'll like it!" Reina smiled mysteriously, then went out of the cabin to select the fish that Marco and Vista had caught.
"Raina~ Come and see! Hahaha... I caught so many fish! I just discovered that I have a talent for fishing!" Marco said proudly, pointing to a group of lively fish jumping around on the deck.
These are all fish that he and Vista just caught. This is the first time he has discovered that fishing can be such a fun thing.
However, Reina completely ignored him. After picking through some fish on the deck, he said, "Didn't I tell you not to leave things lying around? I'm going to prepare dinner now. If this place isn't tidy when I come back, I'll make you taste the horrors of hell!"
Seeing Reina's sinister expression, Marco's smug look instantly froze on his face.
He had experienced what Reiner called hell, so he had no desire to try it again.
Speaking of this, Marco could write a whole history of blood and tears.
After he offended Reina, Reina tied him up with ropes and threw him into the sea. Heaven knows how suffocating the sense of powerlessness he felt as a power user was when he was thrown into the sea.
He was also tied to a kite by Reina and flown into the sky, while Reina practiced archery below, ostensibly to help him practice his flying ability. But those arrows didn't have eyes; if it weren't for his self-healing ability, he would have died countless times over.
In short, Reina's punishments for him are always different, which makes Marco most afraid of this kind of Reina after he turns to the dark side.
Before Reina could leave, Marco stopped fishing and immediately and quickly packed up. In just a short while, he not only put all the fish he had caught into a large fish tank, but he also cleaned up the deck.
That evening, the four sat on the deck, where Reina, the cook, planned to make grilled fish for the other three.
It wasn't the kind of rustic grilled fish from this world, but the kind of grilled fish that's popular in the streets and alleys of my homeland on Earth, served with seasonings I redeemed from the mall. Marco almost ate his tongue with gusto.
"Glug glug... It tastes good! It's a pity there's no good wine!" Newgate sighed after taking a big gulp of the wine he had bought and eating a fish.
“Dad, this is the best wine on the island. We didn’t buy anything when we came to the island, and we spent most of our Berries on this. Isn’t that good wine?” Marco asked in surprise while eating grilled fish.
Vista ate his grilled fish silently without saying a word.
