"I guess you could call this infiltration."
Security in Von Blanc, the capital, was indeed only so-so. After observing the bustling crowds in front of the customs and confirming that no one was eavesdropping, Kalma looked at Sally. The two were currently pretending to be a couple on vacation to the moon.
"Sally, could you tell me about the plan you mentioned? I'd like to confirm the steps."
“Of course.” Sally adjusted her baseball cap; her short-sleeved T-shirt and jeans tracksuit made her look like a short-haired pretty girl.
Sally is very good at intelligence gathering and negotiation.
Karma recalled how Sally had told him about all the tricks she used to "get on the bandwagon" before they set off, and how she did them with ease.
Chapter 9: A Guide to Dating Married Women
Meixi Lutz, 26, has a 6-year-old son who boards at school. Because she is busy with her research, she has not spent much time on childcare.
Only incapable parents would place their hopes on their sons being able to accomplish things they themselves cannot.
Meixi is clearly not like that. Although she would introduce Liao to others with nice words like "Liao is my hope", in reality, she prioritizes raising her son to be successful after realizing her scientific research ideals.
In particular, he realized that if his son were to pursue scientific research, his achievements would not reach even one-tenth of his own.
All he asked of his son, Liao Lutz, was that he grow up healthy and have a happy life.
"Alice, Liao didn't cause any trouble today, did he?"
The doctor took out his terminal, and a blonde, anime-like little girl appeared on the screen.
“Master, today Liao got into a fight with Tom from the next class because Tom got four meals in front of him in line. According to Breton School’s rules, each person can only get two meals. Mr. Lexton has called you fifteen times, but you haven’t answered.”
Who started it?
"burn."
"Why fight over something so pointless?" Misaki asked casually, seemingly just to elicit a solution. She looked directly at the virtual girl on the electronic terminal. "Any suggestions?"
"The suggestion is to transfer schools. All of Liao's classmates have negative feelings towards him, and even the teachers have negative feelings towards him. A new environment will be a new beginning."
“This is the third time already. It’s happened since I transferred from Side 7. Is it to achieve the goal of collecting admission certificates from all of Von Braun’s elementary schools?” Misaki said. “Is there any other way?”
"Other methods are not feasible."
"What method?"
"Liao should stop attending boarding school and become a day student. Master, you should spend more time with your family."
"...Let's look for other, better primary schools."
Dr. Meixi thought to herself that working ten hours a day was the norm for her current job, and only by quitting this job could she spend time with her family... which was unacceptable to her. If she had agreed, she wouldn't have fallen out with Liao's father.
After boarding the subway to Breton Primary School, and after further apologizing to the teacher and the parents across the street, I raised my head, lowered it, and raised it again on the return subway, over and over again, because my mind and body were exhausted and my consciousness was on the verge of collapse.
"Senior, are you getting off at this stop?"
The sound suddenly woke Misaki from the brink of unconsciousness. Looking up, she saw a handsome black-haired boy in a jacket gripping a fixed handle.
Meixi was awakened from the brink of unconsciousness and ran out of the carriage at the last moment before the door closed, only to realize later that something was wrong.
How did the other person know which stop she was getting off at? Could it be a familiar face they see often?
Although she was somewhat wary, Meixi didn't take it to heart as a minor incident outside of work.
The next day, at the same time, Meixi saw the boy on the subway. However, the boy wasn't wearing a jacket; he was wearing a familiar school uniform. Meixi then remembered that yesterday was Sunday and today was Monday.
He doesn't seem to be a delinquent; he's a student.
"Thank you so much yesterday, if you hadn't reminded me, I would have missed my stop."
"It's okay, senior."
The unexpected address left Miki somewhat puzzled. "Do you know me?"
“I graduated from Granada No. 6 High School. I saw your profile in the school’s alumni directory. You were admitted to Von Brown University with the highest score.”
"Oh, I see." Dr. Misaki smiled.
During her high school years, she was a prominent figure. As a genius, she always felt that she might be able to make a name for herself in this era and become a figure who would be remembered in history like Professor Minovsky.
It wasn't until she entered the workforce that she realized even geniuses don't have it easy. She's now a well-known researcher in the field, but she lacks the steps and opportunities to advance further.
Her mentor, who was once a help on her academic path, has now become an obstacle on her way forward.
She had considered leaving her mentor to work independently, but the numerous cases of her predecessors who became traitors and fell into the abyss told her that it was a risky move. They had all overestimated their own abilities. So she decided to just endure it for ten years and perhaps she could take over her mentor's mantle and continue her research.
But it's only a possibility. She's just the most promising of all the professor's students, but who can predict the future? What if another genius emerges?
"Is the new school building for No. 6 Middle School finished yet? I remember when I graduated, they were still moving around."
"It was built in 73, and the school building was already new when I enrolled."
"So, junior, did you get into a university in Von Blanc City?"
"It's exam season now, and I'm studying mechanical and electronic engineering."
"Mechanical and electronic engineering."
The PhD student felt she was running out of things to say. Her major was computer science, and although both are engineering fields, there are actually quite a few differences.
"If possible, I would also like to exchange advice with you, Doctor, regarding further studies?"
"Of course you can."
The two then talked about other things related to the school.
"Doctor, we have arrived at your station."
Okay, goodbye then.
When the conversation turned to the platform where Dr. Miki was getting off, she realized how long it had been since she had such a pleasant chat with someone.
—She just didn't expect that this clever encounter was actually staged.
After the doctor got off at the second stop, the boy stepped off the train, put his hand to his earpiece, and a cheerful voice came from the other end of the microphone.
"Luckily, she didn't ask you too many questions about No. 6 Middle School, otherwise you would have been exposed."
"Isn't it good if things go smoothly? We've already taken the first step."
"Next comes the second step. After chatting for a few more days, you need to get closer to the doctor. It would be best if you could get her to invite you to her home."
Is this possible?
Karma felt Sally's train of thought was a bit off, "Invite a strange man into the house?"
“Senior, the term ‘strange man’ is not appropriate. In Dr. Miki’s eyes, you are just a junior who is a little younger than her. Compared to a strange man, the doctor feels that she can take the initiative in the situation.”
"Does this sound like I'm using my honey trap?"
"It's just an auxiliary tool. Men and women are actually the same. They will show goodwill and lower their guard when they are potential 'educational training' targets."
"It just so happens that you have a great face, senior. With the right amount of thoughtfulness, you can be incredibly effective with married women."
"Besides, the doctor has been separated from her husband for 6 years. Not only can she not provide physical or emotional support, but with the children going through adolescence, isn't this the perfect time for a 'third party' to appear and start a new family?"
Sally's smooth combo made Karma hesitate again.
He didn't intend to hurt Dr. Miki's feelings; he didn't want to be a jerk. If he really wanted to do something, he would get married and take full responsibility.
It's ridiculous that Sally is actually advising him to try and seduce other women.
"What if the doctor really falls in love with me?"
"Isn't that perfect? We can take her down with ease! Then the Doctor can be completely at your disposal. Or do you feel wronged, senior? Is the Doctor not pretty enough?"
To be fair, Meixi isn't as strikingly beautiful as Sally in her own area, but she's the kind of girl who grows on you and has a great figure.
All of these are plus points.
The important thing is that this person is a true genius.
Oliver and Kalmar can both become trained engineers through learning, but they certainly cannot develop a mature artificial intelligence system at the age of 26.
If the doctor could become his woman, many things could be accelerated, saving a lot of trust costs, but it would increase the emotional maintenance costs later on... If you don't want to be a playboy, then you have to take responsibility.
Chapter 10 The house is quite big
Back in her messy home, Miki casually took off her shoes and collapsed wearily onto the sofa.
Meixi glanced casually at the takeout boxes in the kitchen, then reached out and opened her phone to order takeout.
"Master, I suggest you cook for yourself. Because you have been eating takeout for a long time, your visceral fat has exceeded the healthy level."
Alice tried to remind her, but Meixi retorted, "You want to teach me how to do things? I don't have time to go to the market, let alone prepare ingredients. Why don't you cook for me?"
"If you could create a body for me, Master, that wouldn't be a bad idea."
"I'm sorry, Alice... I don't have the money or time right now, but maybe I can later."
Alice sighed. "Master, I can provide recipes, or I can order takeout to have the ingredients delivered to your door. It's a simple and healthy way to cook..."
"That doesn't taste good."
Even though she knew Alice's advice was correct, Misaki refused to follow it, despite knowing that her body had developed some minor health problems due to her long-term irregular lifestyle.
"Master, you may need to socialize more."
"I don't have many friends."
Meixi shook her head, and inexplicably thought of the boy she had met on the subway these past two days.
What a handsome boy.
His kind and gentle nature reflects his good upbringing.
Back then, she fell in love and got married because Liao's father was handsome and considerate.
But after marriage, the other party seemed to become neglectful because they had "won" her over, and was no longer as considerate as when they were in love.
After Liao was born, the two of them got along like detonators and explosives.
She had no support; her parents were in their forties when they had her, and they passed away shortly after she graduated. It was a stroke of luck that they didn't live to see their daughter's marriage fall apart.
Men's words are so deceiving.
From that moment on, Meixi made up her mind to spend the rest of her life on scientific research.
