Why bother with dating when you already have a cat?

When Ai Qing was in the room, she was about the thickness of a straw.

When the little fish and Ai Qing came into close contact, the warm current shrank to the size of a thumb.

If Xiaoyu were leaning against Ai Qing like this, it would probably be... two fingers?

However, even two fingers are not enough to meet the needs of the small fish for the time being, and it is impossible to maintain a balance between supply and demand.

So while Ai Qing was still pondering whether to push the little fish away or just enjoy it silently, the little fish had already disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Instead, a small fish in the shape of a cat was lying next to him.

Ai Qing felt a mix of disappointment and relief.

He then took out his phone, opened Taobao, and started searching for socks and shoes suitable for girls.

His own clothes were all bought for him by his mother when she was bored... He never thought he would have to spend money to buy clothes himself.

Although they were all girls' clothes that I bought...

Chapter 23 Ordinary Days of Learning to Walk

March 9th, cloudy.

I've discovered a problem with the dress that I hadn't realized before.

Even after the little fish turned into a human, she still had her tail.

Wearing underwear is fine, because the tailbone is located at the coccyx, which is higher than the underwear.

But when wearing a dress, the tail is completely covered.

This is a bit tricky.

Although having its tail inside isn't too much of a hindrance, judging from the little fish's reaction, it probably isn't very comfortable.

I'm thinking about whether to make a hole in the back of the dress tomorrow so the tail can stick out.

Anyway, I won't be taking the little fish out after it turns into a human for the time being. If we're just staying at home, I'll just do whatever makes me comfortable.

……

March 10th, sunny.

The weather was nice today, so I went downstairs for a run this morning and at least got some exercise.

However, my health has been deteriorating ever since I started writing the book.

Sister Qian invited me to play badminton at the community court downstairs when I had time. I'm a little afraid of getting beaten, since she's been very good at badminton since she was little.

The little fish still hasn't learned to walk.

After I became human, I took the time to hold her hand and pull her up from the ground, helping her gradually get used to the feeling of walking on two legs.

However, twenty minutes a day is not a long time.

Hopefully she can learn to walk soon.

It's so strange. She learns to use the children's smartwatch and take pictures so quickly, but why is it so difficult for her to learn to walk?

……

On March 11th, the weather started to warm up.

I'm so nervous about testing the waters this Sunday.

The number of favorites has just reached 500, all thanks to the accumulation of old readers from the previous book.

Fortunately, the reader feedback has been decent. I hope to reach 500 average subscriptions per day, so I can at least get a full attendance bonus.

……

March 12th, sunny.

The royalties for the old book have come in. It's the first month after it was completed, and I still have over a thousand yuan left. The subscription rate has been halved, so it's not bad.

It barely supplements my living expenses.

In addition, I've been thinking about a question.

How often should I change Xiaoyu's clothes after she's dressed?

I've been wearing this outfit for a few days now, should I wash it?

But it looks quite clean to me.

Strictly speaking, the dress she wore could only be used for a total of three or four hours.

So let's not wash it for now.

I just hope that when she becomes a human, it won't be done secretly.

Today, while I was writing, someone suddenly grabbed my leg, which was quite frightening.

……

March 13th, sunny.

In the afternoon, Sister Qian dragged me to play badminton, and I failed miserably.

She said the pet hospital will open this Sunday and invited me to come and support them.

I've already talked to my grandma about this, and I've also informed the neighborhood committee. We'll start promoting it around the neighborhood on Saturday.

Grandma also helps promote the square dance community.

It's quite common for families to keep pets these days, and having such a nearby pet hospital is a good thing for everyone.

This sterilization package... emmm...

Actually, I had the idea of spaying Xiaoyu last year. At the time, I thought that as soon as she showed signs of being in heat, I would take her to get it done as soon as possible so that things would be easier.

Anyway, I never intended for her to have another child.

But there were no signs of him going into heat after that, so I forgot about it.

It's definitely impossible to get her sterilized now.

I just don't know if this has anything to do with her turning into a human.

……

March 14th, Saturday.

We're going to test the waters on Twitter around midnight tonight!

Speaking of which, tomorrow is both Sister Qian's new store opening and Xiaoyu's first birthday.

Let's cook a nice meal for Xiaoyu tonight, and celebrate the first attempt at pushing the platform.

Sister Qian's new store is opening, so I'm going to join in the fun this afternoon. I guess she'll be very busy since it just opened, so I won't bother her too much.

Little Fish managed to stand for five minutes tonight!

I feel like I'm almost ready to walk.

Moreover, it took longer for them to become human.

I noted the time; from turning into a human to turning back, it took a total of 29 minutes and 17 seconds.

Rounding up to half an hour.

If it changes twice a day, that's an hour's worth of time...

I think it's time to arrange some learning courses for her. We need to teach her to speak first, right?

I just don't know if I can learn it.

Headache.

Otherwise, it would be like raising a mute girl.

……

March 15th, sunny.

I'll start writing this morning, and after lunch I'll go to the vet.

……

"call……"

At 10:00 AM, after finishing writing 2,000 words of draft, Ai Qing breathed a sigh of relief and glanced at the author's backend.

This book was just put on the recommendation page early this morning as a trial, and can only be found on the light novel category page.

Previously, the number of new favorites added each day was only between 50 and 100.

Today is only halfway through, and I've already added it to my favorites more than 150 times.

I hope to reach 1,000 favorites soon.

As she was thinking this, Ai Qing suddenly felt something strange under her feet.

I looked down and was almost startled.

Holy crap!

"Little Fish, please stop scaring me, okay?"

Ai Qing snapped out of her daze and said to the little fish lying under the table in an annoyed tone.

His desk has drawers on both sides, with only a space in the middle, enough for him to put his legs.

And because it's against a wall, the space inside isn't actually very spacious.

Only because Xiaoyu is a kitten can she often crawl under the chair.

But not only did she crawl inside, she also transformed into a human inside.

This is going to be a bit crowded.

Feeling a bit stuffy, the little fish poked its head out from under the table and bumped into Ai Qing's stomach, nearly scaring him to death.

"Come out, come out." Ai Qing quickly pushed her chair back to make room, then reached out and pulled, freeing Xiao Yu from under the table.

Just as he finished typing, he pulled Xiaoyu to her feet and began teaching her to walk.
