"God knows what weird programs Sherrard added to it!"

Miku stroked the fangs on his chin and fell into deep thought.

"I need to find someone to help me check this out!"

As I pondered, a figure came to mind.

"He should be fine!"

Miku, having reverted to his original form, ignored the drone hovering in mid-air and instead began contemplating his next plan.

"My greatest advantage is that, as a cat, I possess a human soul and am familiar with parts of the plot!"

"This is where I'll start!"

"Let's set a small goal first!"

"For example, kill that perverted doctor!"

Fengdu, second floor of the Seagull Billiards Room.

The door that Wakana broke while she was being manipulated has finally been repaired, and she no longer needs to use a blue canvas as a doorway.

In the small agency, Shotaro and his two friends seemed quite lazy when they didn't have any clients.

These will not be reimbursed!

Akiko, carrying a large suitcase, slammed it down in front of Shotaro. Full of energy, she declared, "These things, pay for them yourself! Don't even think about getting reimbursed by the institute!"

"Besides, hard-boiled novels aren't exactly essential reading for detectives!"

Akiko was furious as she kept criticizing Shotaro. Even though she had earned a lot of money before, she spent it like water!

Before I knew it, the payment from last time had shrunk considerably. And with the door repair costs on top of that, you, Shotaro, expect me to reimburse you for all of this?!

"What do you know?"

Shotaro stood up angrily, holding a hardcore novel in his hand, and said seriously to Akiko: "These are the spiritual food for mature men!"

"What do you know, you little brat!"

"Besides, didn't that commission last time help the firm make a lot of money? Why can't I get reimbursed for it?"

"That's the problem!"

Akiko, who controlled the firm's finances, said without hesitation, "You know..."

The two bickering drew frequent glances from Philip, who, annoyed, closed his book and planned to go to the inner room to get away from them.

Just then, there was a knock on the door!

"Knock knock knock..."

"Knock knock knock........"

Chapter 55: Miku: Hey there, little sister!

Miku stood outside the Narumi Detective Agency, banging his head against the door until he was dizzy and disoriented, when finally, that damned door opened.

"Guest?" Akiko opened the door and looked around for someone, unaware that the culprit who had been knocking had slipped in through the crack in the door while she was looking for someone.

"A prank?"

Scratching her head, Akiko closed the door and angrily said to the pair of partners inside, "Kids these days are awful, playing jokes like that!"

"Ah, when did this stray cat come in?!" Looking up, Akiko saw a British Shorthair blue cat with a dog tag around its neck and covered in dirt sitting brazenly on her most precious and only coffee table.

"Go! Go! Go!"

Akiko, pulling out her slippers as if to shoo Miku away, bared her teeth and claws at him like a crab.

"She's always...always...always like this?"

Ignoring Akiko, Miku questioned Shotaro. Shotaro came to Miku, but was immediately driven away by a foul smell.

"Oh my god, what's that smell?!"

Shotaro, rummaging through drawers looking for air freshener, didn't notice that Akiko's gaze towards Miku had become vacant.

"I...I've never heard of...anything like that!"

With a rare sob in her voice, Akiko rolled her eyes and dramatically fainted to the ground.

"Oh no, why did you suddenly faint?"

Having found the air freshener, Shotaro was somewhat frantic when he saw Akiko lying on the ground. He struggled to lift Akiko up, and didn't forget to spray Miku with air freshener as well.

"So why did you come here?"

Philip touched his lips, a look of interest in his eyes, and asked Miku directly.

Miku glanced at Akiko, who was lying on the bed and had started snoring, and smiled.

I finally got my revenge today for being forced to eat cat food by this idiot. Some cats do hold grudges!

"Yeah, what are you doing here?"

Shotaro dragged over a high stool and sat down at the round table, and Philip sat down next to him.

Miku was a little nervous when he was suddenly surrounded by the two main characters.

Faced with their questions, Miku nervously stomped his paws repeatedly. To be honest, this was the first time he had ever resorted to such a scheme.

"I...I...I hope I can become your...your...your...your...your helper!"

Miku, stammering out these words, looked at Shotaro and Philip with a hint of anticipation. Taking down the doctor would require a gradual approach; it wasn't something that could be accomplished overnight.

A towering building starts from the ground up; what Miku needs to do now is to train himself and build up his strength. Joining the W duo is a great opportunity for him to hone his skills!

"You want to become our outside helper?" Philip began to ponder Miku's words. Having an extra helper would be a great help to them, even though the guy in front of them had a dark history of being a cadre!

"Aren't you a museum official?"

Philip, who asked questions without hesitation, was quite outspoken. Miku's large, round, furry face wrinkled, and a trace of sadness appeared in his eyes. The bell around his neck twitched without any wind.

"It's a former...former...former cadre, but now I can't go back...can't go back!"

Miku felt a pang of sorrow as he recalled Ootachi's manic appearance.

A kind of sorrow for myself!

"can!"

Shotaro crossed his arms and looked at Miku firmly, saying, "From the moment you saved Kirihiko, to the incident with Akutsu, and the incident before that, although I don't know you very well, my intuition tells me that you are someone I can trust!"

"What a half-baked amateur!"

Philip covered his face with the book, looking somewhat helpless.

But that's also what makes Shotaro so special; even the tough guy A-san is somewhat impressed by Shotaro's half-baked style.

"Thank...thank...thank you!"

Welcome to our team!

Shotaro reached out his hand to Miku, a smile playing on his lips beneath his hat. When Miku saw that smile, a warmth welled up inside him.

After solemnly extending her cat paw into Shotaro's hand, Miku sincerely said, "Thank you for your...trust!"

"Let's give our new foreign player a bath before we welcome him!"

After the cat's scent masked the air freshener, Philip pinched his nose.

"indeed!"

Shotaro pinched his nose and quickly ran to open the window. Even after the air was circulated, the unpleasant smell still lingered. Miku was nothing like before; even a stray cat smelled better than him!

"what!"

Just then, Akiko woke up.

"I just dreamt about a talking cat!"

As Akiko rubbed her eyes and got up, she saw Miku waving at her.

A wicked smile crept across Miku's face.

"Hey there, little sister!"

"Gah!"

Akiko, who had just passed out, lay blankly on the bed.

"Hey!"

Miku chuckled and proudly raised his head.

Some cats are indeed very vengeful!

"Let's give him a wash first!"

Shotaro suggested, and Philip silently gave him a thumbs up.

"Keep it up!"

Several tens of minutes later, Shotaro, with his sleeves rolled up, yelled in a frantic voice, "Ah, why am I the one washing?!"

Miku, covered in foam, was enjoying being rubbed and kneaded by Shotaro.

Seeing this, Philip couldn't help but shake his head with a smile, but the next moment, a strong sense of déjà vu washed over him.

"It's a bit strange, why does it feel so familiar?"

.................

Fuuto, the Madoka Mansion.

The father and his two daughters, who were having afternoon tea, remained silent, each sipping their tea in quiet contemplation. The atmosphere was somewhat somber.

"Wakana, how are you doing lately?"

After Saeko put down her teacup, she looked at Wakana with a hint of concern in her eyes, but she quickly suppressed this hidden emotion.

"It's nothing, sister!"
