I have a ghost diary

"What just happened proves that those who return from the underworld to the mortal world have not severed their connection with the gods, so no one knows what will happen in the future."
“We don’t need to dwell on the past or feel sad. I believe that the faith in the God of Fate will not be extinguished, regardless of whether you or I will be able to remain in this world in the future.”
Chu Jiang patted her head. "Anyway, it's good that you can figure it out."
Next, the two returned to the Jing family's residence.
Chu Jiang didn't rush to leave; he decided to stay the night first.
......
At three o'clock in the morning, Jing Ruoxue lay on her bed, tossing and turning, unable to fall asleep.
This is her old room, which she hasn't been back to in a long time. Logically, she should be able to fall asleep easily.
What is he doing at this moment? Is he dreaming? Will he dream of a sacrificial ceremony?
As she was deep in thought, Jing Ruoxue suddenly heard a soft knock on the door. She was a little surprised. Who could it be at this hour?
Subconsciously sensing something, Jing Ruoxue immediately sat up! She was a little flustered; why had she come at this time?
"Please, please come in."
Chu Jiang, dressed in his pajamas, opened the door and entered, bringing a pillow with him. This made Jing Ruoxue even more flustered. "What, what are you going to do?"
"Can't sleep? Can I come and sleep with you?" a shameless man asked in a calm tone.
"This, this..." Jing Ruoxue's face turned red again. Her rationality told her that it was better to refuse, after all, it was the middle of the night and they were alone together; but emotionally, she didn't want to push Chu Jiang away.
In the end, Jing Ruoxue could only comfort herself that Chu Jiang was a gentleman, and he probably just couldn't sleep and wouldn't do anything to her.
Thinking of this, Jing Ruoxue nodded slightly and agreed in a voice barely above a whisper.
Seeing this, Chu Jiang didn't hesitate to close the door and step forward.
After he placed his pillow and lay down on the bed, Jing Ruoxue turned her back to Chu Jiang and carefully lay down.
The two were silent for a moment, then after a few seconds, Chu Jiang put his arm around Jing Ruoxue's shoulder and made her turn around to face him.
Jing Ruoxue became even more nervous. She lowered her head, not daring to look Chu Jiang in the eye.
"I have a question: if I asked you to sleep with me, would you refuse?"
Upon hearing Chu Jiang's words, Jing Ruoxue was taken aback for a moment, then she looked up and asked, "What do you mean by 'rolling in the sheets'?"
So Chu Jiang leaned close to her ear and explained. After listening, Jing Ruoxue's face turned bright red, almost as if steam was rising from her head.
She had a thousand legitimate reasons to refuse, but in the end, she chose to nod silently.
This reaction was almost entirely consistent with Chu Jiang's previous predictions...
"Does that mean you'll refuse?" Although he understood what the other party meant, Chu Jiang still asked jokingly.
Jing Ruoxue shook her head repeatedly.
This made Chu Jiang want to laugh, but he also felt like he was a complete scumbag.
So desires are harmful. It was so good when he was seriously influenced by demons; all women were just symbols in his eyes. Now, for some reason, he can't help but have certain thoughts pop into his head.
Chu Jiang decided that he could no longer act recklessly like this, and that he would confess to Chen Ke'er when he returned.
He also told Chen Ke'er about sleeping with Belfast before...
Seeing that Chu Jiang had stopped talking and seemed lost in thought, Jing Ruoxue suddenly became worried, wondering if he was just joking.
After thinking it over and over, Jing Ruoxue was about to say that it was best to just let it go; but when she thought of the outstanding women surrounding Chu Jiang... she gritted her teeth, mustered her courage, and awkwardly kissed Chu Jiang's lips.
She wanted to have a child with Chu Jiang... He had said he would ask her for help.
Chu Jiang was somewhat surprised. He held the beauty in his arms, gently savoring her deliciousness, and guided her step by step, leading her to the peak of pleasure.
This is the long-awaited reunion of Chu Zhi and Chu Mei.
PS: This side story has 4743 words and slightly supplements Jing Ruoxue's plot.
Then I feel like there's not much to write about in the other side stories. It's mainly because Chu Jiang is too strong. If we write about supernatural events, it's just a complete crushing defeat, so there's nothing interesting to see.
At this point, the only thing I can think of is to write a short side story from the perspective of Chu Jiang's child, to explain the future of this world: ghosts still exist, and ghost masters will not disappear; it is a new order.
I might not update this part tomorrow; let me think about it...
Finish this testimonial
I originally planned to finish writing all the side stories before posting the author's note, but since I've already finished it, I'll post the author's note first.
Here are two screenshots. The first one is a screenshot of my subscription when the app was launched, and the second one is one I just took.
It is quite obvious that this number of subscribers has remained consistent.
I won't say too much else, but basically it flopped, and it was a terrible flop.
Of course, I still kept my promise when the book was published and finished writing it. And all the main plot points that needed to be explained have been explained, such as the protagonist's biggest secret, the truth behind the supernatural resurgence, and how it will end...
Now, back to the book itself, my original intention was to write a supernatural thriller novel, but I still lacked the writing skills. Writing this type of book really requires some talent and a creative mind; it's not something you can just do on a whim.
Ultimately, I turned the supernatural novel into an urban fantasy story, which, in short, wasn't scary enough.
Then let's analyze the other issues. I think the plot at the beginning of the book is quite problematic and not engaging enough.
The beginning of a web novel is extremely important. If the beginning is not exciting, even if there are worthwhile parts later on, it will keep most readers away.
But the version you see now is the one I revised several times based on the editor's feedback, and I revised it twice more after the book was published.
If we need to make further changes, we'll have to delete the entire opening sequence and start all over again.
However, this beginning echoes the ending I planned in the outline, which is the part you saw before, the plot about Slender Man.
The opening event is also the core event, running through the entire text. I deleted this plot entirely, which was almost equivalent to drastically altering the outline. In the end, I didn't do it.
From a purely pragmatic perspective, if I had seen these results after the book was published, I should have decisively canceled it. I knew where the problem lay and should have cut my losses promptly instead of wasting time.
The final result was pretty much what I expected.
But I didn't do that. As I mentioned in my book launch notes, I've wanted to write about supernatural themes for a long time, and this book is one of my attempts.
On the other hand, most of the books I wrote on Shuke (a Chinese online bookstore) were completed from beginning to end, and I didn't want to abandon them with this one. If you abandon something once, everything you've persisted in for so long will seem completely meaningless to readers.
And this book does indeed contain some of my fantasies and ideas. Writing this far, I can say that I have written down everything I wanted to write, even if it is not perfect.
......
Next, let me talk about my own problems. After my last book achieved considerable success, I mistakenly thought I knew how to write a novel. But it turns out I still don't.
The previous book was a hit, but this one still flopped. This is because it failed to grasp the core essence of online novels.
Another reason, which I think is also important, is that I have serialized a novel of 771 million words on the Shuke website so far, spanning six years.
For the past six years, I have spent most of my time updating, and I have rarely had any free time to recharge my brain.
This has led to my ideas and thoughts gradually becoming impoverished.
Actually, I realized this problem after finishing the last book. I spent three months resting and recharging, but it still wasn't enough.
Now, the novel "The Strange Diary" has given me a wake-up call.
I am now facing a situation where I have failed miserably and feel powerless to do anything about it.
Therefore, I have decided that I will not be writing any more books for a while.
I'm going to take a long vacation. I'm going to watch anime, read novels, watch movies, and I'm also going to try to change careers.
Writing novels is really tough. Sitting in front of the computer all day causes all sorts of occupational diseases, the most obvious being back problems, and you also often have to stay up late.
Moreover, since I can only write in a very quiet environment, it's also quite inconvenient at home, as it's impossible to always be quiet, and my family always has to accommodate me.
Not to mention that during the six years I spent writing this book, I mostly stayed at home and rarely went out. My family thought I was too withdrawn, and my parents kept pressuring me to get married, afraid I'd be a bachelor for life...
In short, I need to start taking a break.
I don't know if I'll write books again in the future. If I can't make money in other industries, I might come back.
However, there is a prerequisite: I must fully recharge before I can come back. This time, I need to be patient and let things settle down.
Next time, it's either crash or take off.
If I write another book and it flops like this again, then I might as well never write at all. Six years have passed. How many six-year periods does one have in a lifetime?
Finally, thank you to all the readers who have supported me along the way. Thank you for reading my book...
Extra New World 1
The time was sixteen years after the opening of the door plan was completed.
At 7:00 a.m. in the Lvxiu residential area of Luoxi City, a boy was putting on his shoes at the door with a backpack on his back, preparing to go out.
His name is Chu Tianya. He is sixteen years old and just started high school at Luoxi No. 7 Middle School.
As for Chu Tianya's family background... he considers himself to be above middle class.
Anyway, his mother is lazy and loves to eat, and is fawned over by the socialites in her circle; she's either traveling with her father or watching those idol dramas until she's in tears.
My mom also often has some whimsical ideas, such as going back to her school days and staging a story of an ugly duckling meeting the school heartthrob, getting to know each other because of a misunderstanding, and then having a sweet romance.
The most outrageous thing is that her own dad actually took her to complete the school enrollment procedures... Of course, the school heartthrob had to be her dad.
Since her mother sleeps until she naturally wakes up every morning, Chu Tianya has to take care of breakfast herself; usually she frys an egg and eats it with bread, but sometimes when she's too lazy to cook, she buys two steamed buns on her way to school.
As for Chu Tianya's father, he didn't know how to describe this man.
My dad seems to have a respectable job, and he also owns a multinational company located on the top floor of the tallest building in the next city.
However, Chu Tianya always felt that his father might also be a gangster boss, and even people in the legitimate world had to give him some respect...
For example, when Chu Tianya was young, he witnessed several people with gloomy demeanors and pale faces, who looked like they were on drugs, come to his father for help.
His father was taking him for a walk when these men, who looked like they were not to be trifled with, came and knelt down in front of his father, crying and begging for help, hoping that he would speak up for them.
