After a few heavy breaths, Tachibana Koimaru's expression changed repeatedly. Finally, he let out a cold snort and walked out of the prison with a grim face.

The prison, buried deep underground, fell silent once more after the departure of its rare guest, without a sound. After a long while, a disappointed sigh echoed from the depths of the prison.

“I originally thought that the child was very similar to me. We both carried the heavy burden of reviving our families, we were both looked down upon by the higher nobles because we were lower-ranking nobles, and we both knew how to be grateful and considerate of others because of our childhood experiences.”

Kyoraku Shunsui emerged from the corner, his face dejected.

"But I didn't expect I only got the first two points right: his extraordinary childhood experiences. Instead of teaching him gratitude, they made him ruthless in his pursuit of advancement. When I learned he was the one who instigated Cell 46 to sentence you to death, I still clung to a sliver of hope, telling myself, maybe he had some kind of plan? But, alas..."

Without responding to Kyoraku Shunsui's words, Yuan Yuan opened his eyes again, his expression still calm.

"The captain of the Jing Band is really skilled. He is indeed a veteran captain. He arrived earlier than Li, but Li did not notice him at all."

Kyoraku Shunsui gave a wry smile and pressed down on his straw hat.

"But Captain Yuan still spotted us as soon as we came in, didn't he?"

Seeing that Yuan Yuan didn't intend to answer, Kyoraku Shunsui's bitter smile deepened.

"Since Captain Yuan Yuan is unwilling to continue the conversation, then I will be leaving. Please rest assured and wait for the Commander-in-Chief's decision. Just as you said, it will definitely not be the death penalty."

Watching Kyoraku Shunsui's retreating figure, Yuan Yuan silently closed his eyes, and silence descended upon the prison once more. He didn't know how much time had passed, but Yuan Yuan seemed to awaken from a dream, opening his eyes to see the small lizard that had crawled through the prison bars. He gently extended his right hand. Without the slightest fear, the small lizard climbed directly onto Yuan Yuan's palm.

Looking into the lizard's cold, brownish-yellow eyes, Yuan Yuan spoke in an even colder voice.

"What was the result?"

The tiny lizard opened its mouth, but instead spat out the sound of Tachibana Koimaru.

"As Father predicted, after confirming that even with my help, they couldn't force the Commander-in-Chief to sentence you to death, they began to target you with exile. It's likely that your place of exile will be in southern Hueco Mundo, near the Forest of Menos Grande."

Nodding in satisfaction, Yuan Yuan wasn't surprised by the outcome. The wrangling between the nobles and the captain-in-chief would normally drag on and waste a lot of time, but with a captain joining the nobles' ranks, this process was accelerated. Through their own captain, Tachibana Koimaru, the nobles could more quickly ascertain the captain-in-chief's bottom line.

"Where are the people chosen to escort me?"

"Originally, the Captain-Commander was supposed to have me escort you so that he could take care of you, but because of my recent obvious targeting of you, the Captain-Commander has probably changed his mind. Judging from the message delivered by Kensei, who has been promoted to captain of the 9th Division, the Captain-Commander intends to have the new captain of the 12th Division, Nozomi Koto, escort you."

Yuan Yuan frowned slightly, pondered for a moment, and then spoke softly.

"Tell those nobles that you have a way to persuade Koto Nozomi and Kensei Muguruma to join their ranks. Get those nobles to stop the Captain-Commander from assigning these two to escort me. Then guide them to suggest replacing my escorts with members of the 7th Division. It won't take too much effort; with a little guidance, those old foxes will definitely come up with this plan."

"Indeed, those old foxes will probably support this decision. You have a lot of prestige in the 7th Division. Sending those members to Hueco Mundo and letting them be killed by Hollows will shake your position in the 7th Division, making it easier for them to bring the 7th Division back under the rule of the nobles after your death. Those scumbags all think you will definitely die in Hueco Mundo. How stupid of them."

"Then, Father, is there anything else you wish to instruct me to do?"

Yuan Yuan gently closed his right hand, holding the tiny artificial life form in his palm.

"Nothing."

After uttering those cold, short sentences, a flame the same color as the Crimson Fire Cannon suddenly ignited in Yuan Yuan's loosely clenched right hand, instantly burning the not-so-cute little guy to ashes.

Crushing the ashes in his hand, Yuan Yuan slowly released a wisp of black gas exuding a frenzied aura.

When the black gas and the gray ash met, in the cell buried nine layers underground where there was no wind, the ash seemed to be blown away from Yuan Yuan's palm as if by the wind.

However, once the ashes left Yuan Yuan's palm, they didn't fly in the same direction as if blown by the wind. It was as if each ashe particle possessed its own consciousness, and each particle flew to a different place.

Watching the swirling ashes, Yuan Yuan curled his lips in interest.

"Hell might be an interesting place."

Chapter Thirty-Five: How Foolish!

Before the gate to the boundary, Yamamoto Genryusai's expression remained calm, showing no sign of anything amiss. Yuan Yuan, on the other hand, also remained expressionless, as if the place he was about to go to was not the perilous Hueco Mundo, but rather his own backyard.

Standing between the two, Kyoraku Shunsui wore a bitter smile, as if he were the one about to head to a desolate land.

Jingle Chunshui handed a small black box to Yuan Yuan, then pulled down his straw hat, seemingly somewhat resigned.

"Captain Yuan Yuan, this is the spiritual power code for the interdimensional gate fifty years from now. Please be sure to save it."

Nodding slightly, Yuan Yuan casually placed the black box into his pocket, his gaze fixed indifferently on Kyoraku Shunsui, waiting for him to finish his necessary preamble. Kyoraku Shunsui didn't need to explain the item's function; he knew perfectly well it—it simply recorded spiritual energy fluctuations. To ensure the safety of the Pure Spirit Court, the interdimensional gate's password changed every ten years, and this item, as Kyoraku Shunsui had said, recorded the password fifty years from now.

Kyoraku Shunsui pulled his straw hat down even lower, concealing the embarrassed expression on his face. What he was about to say was the result of the Gotei 13's compromise with the nobles. Kyoraku Shunsui, who valued his status as a Shinigami captain more than his noble status, simply didn't have the face to say it out loud with his head held high.

"Seventh Division Captain Yuan Yuan, arrogant and reckless, disregarded the lives of his students, resulting in the deaths of many. His crimes are heinous, and he is sentenced to exile. Exile location: Hueco Mundo, exile period: fifty years. If the sinner Yuan Yuan steps outside Hueco Mundo during these fifty years... he will be executed without mercy."

As Kyoraku Shunsui softly read aloud the shameful crimes he had committed as a captain of the Shinigami, a chill ran through him. He knew—no, to be precise, all the Shinigami knew—that Hueco Mundo contained no living beings other than Hollows. For a short stay, they could prepare ample food, but for fifty years, the only food available would be Hollows.

Death and ethereal energy are incompatible; any encounter between them will inevitably result in a violent conflict, and no possibility of coexistence has yet been discovered. While Death will not suffer poisoning from consuming flesh and blood saturated with ethereal energy, the intense clash of spiritual energies will cause Death immense suffering.

If in a safe environment, such a Grim Reaper could silently endure this pain, but Kyoraku Shunsui knew that Yuan Yuan's arrival location was near the Forest of Menreiki, where Menreiki roamed freely and safe places were few and far between. In the nearly thousand years since records began in Soul Society, very few people have been able to find a safe place in Hueco Mundo and live for more than fifty years.

“Mr. Yuan, I believe that with your strength, you will definitely be able to return safely in fifty years.”

Whether trying to convince himself or to encourage Yuan Yuan, Kyoraku Shunsui tried to make his voice firm and looked directly into Yuan Yuan's eyes.

Looking into Kyoraku Shunsui's eyes, Yuan Yuan's lips curled into a sarcastic smile.

"Is the Peking Opera band leader adopting this posture because he feels disgusted by me, or because he sees his own future in me and feels a sense of shared sorrow for the fallen?"

Seeing Kyoraku Shunsui's face stiffen as his thoughts were exposed, Yuan Yuan smiled with amusement and turned to walk towards the dark interdimensional gate.

Yuan Yuan put his hands in the pockets of his trousers and strolled toward the portal, looking as relaxed as if he were about to embark on a long journey. Behind him followed twenty serious-looking Shinigami from the Seventh Division, who were responsible for escorting Yuan Yuan.

No one would be foolish enough to ask to put a powerful Captain Death in useless shackles.

Inside the portal, it was still dark. Yuan Yuan walked slowly, seemingly unconcerned about how he would live after arriving in Hueco Mundo.

Yuan Yuan appeared relaxed, but the Grim Reaper team members following behind him were not so at ease. They looked at each other, and finally, one of the Grim Reapers who was relatively close to Yuan Yuan spoke first.

"Captain, this wasn't our choice. It was entirely at the behest of those above. Please don't blame us."

This carefully worded statement, which avoided sensitive terms like "escort" and "exile," immediately garnered the approval of all the Death Squad members, who nodded and uttered choruses of agreement.

As if awaiting judgment, the Grim Reapers watched Yuan Yuan cautiously, fearing he might not forgive them. Although they had done nothing wrong, they still had to beg for Yuan Yuan's forgiveness; otherwise, being regarded as an enemy by a captain, these ordinary Grim Reapers would likely die in some inexplicable place and in some inexplicable way before long.

“I don’t mean to blame you. You did nothing wrong. You were just thrown here because of someone’s decision, so don’t worry about being targeted by my students and friends when you go back and dying an unexplained death.”

Although Yuan Yuan's voice remained icy, it sounded like heavenly music to the ears of these Grim Reapers. Relaxing, they exchanged glances, only to awkwardly find themselves at a loss for words, and the passage fell silent once more.

Finally, in a dry breeze, the group walked out of the interdimensional gate.

"Captain, we are too weak to stay in Hueco Mundo any longer, so we will return to Soul Society first."

The moment they landed on the grounds of Hueco Mundo, the Shinigami's expressions changed. They could clearly sense the spiritual energy of the Hollows in the air; that oppressive, despairing feeling made them feel as if they could see death itself. Without uttering a single polite word, they wanted to return to Soul Society.

However, the portal they had just used suddenly seemed to malfunction and could not be opened again no matter what they did.

Ignoring the Shinigami who were shouting and twisting their Zanpakuto, which served as the key to the interdimensional gate, trying to open the gate again, Yuan Yuan kept his hands in his pockets and silently walked into the distance.

"How foolish they are to think they can return to Soul Society. Karim, capture them and send them to my laboratory."

Behind him, the sand beneath the feet of the Grim Reapers suddenly exploded and flew into the air. A huge scorpion, which instilled fear just by looking at it, suddenly crawled out and twisted all four of their limbs before the Grim Reapers could react.

As if he hadn't heard the agonizing screams of the Grim Reapers, Karim left them behind and chased after Yuan Yuan. His subordinates would naturally handle delivering the experimental materials to the lab. What he needed to do now was stay by his father's side and kill all those fools who dared to cause trouble for his father!

Walking on the pale white gravel, Yuan Yuan appeared relaxed, even displaying a kind of laziness he had never shown before.

"Although those guys are trash, you were able to break all four of their limbs in two seconds. Your strength has increased again, Karim. That's good. Strength is the foundation."

"Thank you for your praise, Father."

Although Karim's voice remained as cold as Yuan Yuan's, a hint of joy appeared in his eyes.

"Notify West to capture as many Voids as possible and secretly transport them to the mortal realm. The strength of those Voids is not important, only their quantity is required. Then, hand over all the power and responsibilities under your command to Josephine. That little girl needs some experience."

Although Yuan Yuan bestowed all the fruits of his century-long efforts upon Josephine with a single sentence, Karim showed no dissatisfaction and remained respectful and loyal.

"Yes, Father."

Nodding in satisfaction, Yuan Yuan stroked Karim's back armor and slowly spoke.

"After you've taken care of these things, come with me to visit the real world. It's about time to bring those kids back."

Chapter Thirty-Six: Buddha

The aristocracy controlled everything, while commoners toiled to death – this was the true picture of Japan during that era. Only a select few could truly say they were living a meaningful life.

Most people are just existing.

In such times, on such land, it's no wonder that what one sees is hell on earth. Yuan Yuan and Karim have been traveling in the mortal world for almost a month, and the scenes they see are all the same: everywhere are people working like zombies, or rather, slowly dying.

Although Yuan Yuan believed that both beautiful and ugly scenery were still scenery and had their merits, he still felt a bit bored after seeing the same scenery for so long.

Looking at the city in the distance that was no different from other human settlements, Yuan Yuan decided that if there was nothing here that interested him, he would end his trip to relax early and go directly to pick up the ghouls and bring them back to Hueco Mundo.

Although he felt agitated, Yuan Yuan's pace remained unchanged, steady and leisurely.

As Yuan Yuan entered the city, which did not appear particularly dilapidated, a slight smile appeared on his lips.

Looks like I've found something interesting.

Although they are also emaciated, the residents of this city have a characteristic that residents of other towns do not have: vitality.

The ordinary people here are not the walking dead.

Walking down the street with great interest, Yuan Yuan, who could have covered his body with spiritual power so that ordinary people could see him, did not do so. He simply walked slowly down the street without arrogance or impatience, listening to the conversations of those who could not see him, enjoying the leisure that he had not experienced for a long time.

The massive Karim walked across the rooftops, still closely following Yuan Yuan. With his exquisite control of power, he didn't even break a single tile.

Suddenly, a man with obvious spiritual power appeared on the street corner, staring in horror at Karim's direction, his mouth agape, about to scream. Karim flicked his tail, flicking a drop of pitch-black venom into the man's mouth. The deadly poison, acting on the soul, had no delay, instantly corroding the man's soul into a wisp of white smoke, leaving only his soulless body slowly slumping to the ground.

Unconcerned about what Karim had done, Yuan Yuan continued to stroll leisurely through the streets. After some time, he finally grasped the general reason for the city's unusual situation, but the reason struck him as somewhat... unbelievable.

The reason was that a Buddha lived in the city. Yes, no matter what those people were discussing, they always mentioned the Buddha, and from what they said, this Buddha didn't refer to a Buddha statue, but a real, living Buddha.

Although he suspected that the Buddha might be a charlatan, Yuan Yuan still felt a surge of interest. After revealing himself and asking an old man if the Buddha lived in the south of the city, Yuan Yuan used his Instant Step technique and quickly arrived at a temple in the south of the city.

Standing on the temple wall, Yuan Yuan frowned slightly. He was now certain that even if the Buddha inside was a fraud, he was a fraudster with considerable skill, because the entire temple was shrouded in the spiritual pressure of one person, and if nothing unexpected happened, this spiritual pressure should belong to that "Buddha".

Inside the temple, an old monk with white eyebrows and beard raised his head, his eyes, though not sharp, conveying a sense of wisdom, staring directly at Yuan Yuan. Possessing enough spiritual power to cover an entire temple, he could naturally see Yuan Yuan and Karim behind him.

"This old monk is Yixiu. May I ask what brings you here from afar, benefactor?"
