"Uncle, what are you doing?"

As he was carrying the human model, Da Zang felt a chill and hesitated to turn back.

Chiba Municipal Soubu High School is a long-established high school founded in 1979. Old schools are often associated with all sorts of strange and mysterious rumors that have circulated for a long time. Okizo, a new teacher, scoffed at these rumors, so the task of organizing the science lab, which houses skeletal specimens and anatomical models, was entrusted to this fearless young teacher.

But to be honest, upon entering the empty science lab, Daizo couldn't help but feel uneasy about the quiet atmosphere. And at that moment, in this special building that shouldn't have any students, the voice of a young girl rang out.

More importantly, he didn't hear any footsteps approaching at all.

My colleagues kept telling me these school ghost stories one after another: Was it Hanako? Was it the ghost of the old school building? Or a walking mannequin? Neither the location nor the gender made sense.

He didn't speak, and the voice pressed on curiously, "Uncle, why aren't you saying anything? Do you want to move the body and destroy the evidence? That's not good, this is a bad kid."

Just die.

Daizo resolutely turned around. As an upright man, he could not tolerate being falsely accused—not even if it was something strange!

His gaze as he turned back was filled with sorrow, his expression one of gritted teeth and fierce demeanor, which immediately frightened the little girl who had been talking behind him, causing her to scream and back away...

little girl?

Da Zang let out a long sigh, but his moral principles as a teacher prevented him from speaking ill of a child. He could only bend down slightly and ask, "Little friend, why did you come here?"

Once I find that guy who let outsiders into the school without any regard for their safety, I'll kill him/her!

As he thought this angrily, the little girl, her face flushed, replied somewhat blankly, "Abby...Abby was waiting for the group leader to come back and wanted to go out for a stroll."

Daizo jotted down the word "[Commander]" in his notebook, thought for a moment, and decided to take the little guy named Abby to the security office. However, there was a misunderstanding he wanted to clear up: "Abby, why do you think your uncle—no, I mean, your brother—is doing something bad? This is a mannequin, you know." He laughed and patted the mannequin.

Abby blinked: "Wow, so modern mannequins can move! Technology is amazing."

“That’s right, that’s right, technology is so advanced now, haha…ha?” Daizo froze for a moment, then turned to look at the mannequin he had draped over his shoulder.

The guy with only muscles on the right side of his face was forcing a smile as he looked at me.

!

Something strange is happening right next to me?

Having witnessed the bizarre and surreal sight, Daizo's vision went black and he fainted.

The mannequin grinned, its gleaming white teeth seemingly ready to tear through flesh and blood to nourish its parched intestines. Perfect, there's still a little girl who hasn't run away; let's eat her too, to celebrate finally waking up today.

Snapped.

The mannequin was about to make its next move when it suddenly became immobilized: a thick, black tentacle had landed on its shoulder and locked it firmly in place.

Abigail was angry: "You bad thing, you scared someone to death and you still want to do bad things. Noshu, Tarul, dinner's ready."

Two cats, appearing out of nowhere, revealed sinister expressions. The next moment, their heads split open simultaneously, transforming into enormous mandibles that tore the mannequin in half before it could even think, swallowing it whole.

"Meow?" The two cats, having enjoyed their extra meal, walked back to Abigail's feet and meowed softly. Abigail quickly warned, "No, you can't! I think Uncle is a good person. You can't think about eating him."

Noshu and Tarul answered with meows, then disappeared again. Abigail looked at the mess in the science room and couldn't help but feel a little sorry for her uncle lying on the floor.

With a wave of her hand, tentacles appeared in the air, then she looked completely bewildered, not knowing what she had been summoned for.

"Hurry up, don't just stand there, help clean the classroom."

Tentacles: ...You're the boss, you call the shots.

The rustling sounds made Daizo feel a little noisy. He woke up from his daze, his movements silent and still, unnoticed by Abigail, who had her back to him.

However, Daizo was able to see the current state of the science lab. In that once peaceful lab, black rifts had appeared in the air, from which countless tentacles stretched out, filling the entire space. Their grotesque shapes and dizzying power created such an unreal scene that he could no longer bear it.

Daizo fell into a coma for the second time.

"Huh? Is that a sound?" Abigail turned her head and saw only Professor Daizo lying in a different spot. She shook her head. "He's an adult, yet he can't sleep peacefully." She summoned a tentacle, picked up a blanket that someone had left in the science room, covered him with it, clapped her hands, and nodded in satisfaction—the science room was all cleaned up; that uncle would probably be very grateful. But no need to thank her; Abigail was off on another adventure.

She strode out of the classroom, considerately closing the door so that Da Zang could rest. In the quiet science room, only Da Zang lay quietly, the blanket covering him still slightly damp with black slime.

Abigail had done another good deed and felt quite satisfied. She strolled happily around the campus and inadvertently walked to the outdoor baseball field of Soubu High School, watching with great interest as several people practiced pitching.

The markings on these people don't look like the ones on the team leader's school uniform. Are they students from another school borrowing the field? I remember this kind of ball-catching game being quite popular; I want to go over and take a look.

Abigail in her current state is the embodiment of action.

She quickly changed direction, quietly crossed the court's protective fence, and moved towards that side.

"Put in more effort, Rong Chun! Don't think that just because we have a friendly match this afternoon, you don't need to warm up."

"Yes!" The pitcher named Rong Chun, who had been pulled in by his senior for extra practice, answered enthusiastically, but perhaps his hand slipped and the ball went astray.

"You bastard... wait, watch out!" The senior had only meant to laugh and scold, but then turned pale with fright.

Because of the deviated trajectory of the ball, it flew straight towards the tiny figure that had silently appeared near the field at some unknown time.

Amidst the countless screams and scattering of others, Abigail didn't quite grasp the situation: Was this person trying to drag me into this? Well, I'll take it.

Rong Chun ran painfully toward the little one, wanting to treat his injuries as soon as possible, but he stopped after only a few steps.

A baseball traveling at 130 km/h was easily caught by a small hand. Abigail didn't even show any sign of strain. She tossed the ball around in her hand, then struck a clumsy pitching pose: "Here you go~"

A gust of wind swept by, and Rong Chun felt a burning pain near her ears, along with a faint smell of burning protein.

Abigail stuck out her tongue: "Sorry, I missed. Big brothers, keep playing, I'm off now."

Everyone present watched that small figure disappear from the field, and remained silent for a long time.

"Is that a baseball fairy?"

"What are you talking about! That's called the Pitching Fairy. Just like King Arthur passing by the lake, thinking his swordsmanship was unmatched, only to have the fairy sister come out and show him a trick, reminding him that there are always people more powerful than you!"

"Then wouldn't I be able to become the king of pitching?"

"You're completely missing the point!"

Strange rumors have increased again...

Chapter 48: A Natural Disaster Named Abby Ravages the Campus (Third Update!)

[Why is the door so heavy, yet so easy to open?] In the exam room, Fujimaru Ritsuka looked at the question and smiled dismissively: Of course, it's a variation of the lever, the wheel and axle, so the answer should be the lever principle.

In the old school building's restroom, Abigail easily ripped the door off as if it were a piece of paper. She smiled at her gloomy-faced friend and said, "Don't worry, Hanako, the door's open. I'm off now."

"Oh..." Hanako, the earthbound spirit, stared blankly at the door that had been forcibly torn off, her body beginning to feel ethereal.

[What kind of feedback does the piano give when you press the keys?] Of course, it's the action and reaction of force! Fujimaru Ritsuka happily filled in the answer in the classroom.

Inside the music room, a school worker was wiping the piano keys with a rag, unaware that the originally chaotic piano music was slowly becoming harmonious, while the heavy iron cover over the keys was about to fall heavily on his neck.

"Oh dear, that was dangerous, uncle! You almost got hit on the head!" Abigail, who was passing by, quickly stepped in and braced the violin lid. No matter how much force the unknown thing exerted, the lid wouldn't fall. Finally, the lid creaked and broke off. The thing let out a scream that no one could hear, and then disappeared.

The school janitor didn't notice, only muttering that the guy was quick to turn bad, and thanked the kind girl. Abigail hummed a song and walked away happily.

...Then, the thirteenth step was inexplicably damaged, the portrait with eyes darting around behind Abby disappeared, and the mirror that was said to be able to suck people in strangely shattered when it reflected the image of the blonde girl.

Later, a strange tale slowly began to circulate on campus: it was said that there was a blonde girl at Soubu High School, whether she was human or not was no longer clear. But if you saw her, something inexplicable and strange would always happen, both lucky and unlucky.

-------------------------------------

Clang! Clang!

The bell rang, signaling the end of the exam. Fujimaru Ritsuka stretched, handed in her exam paper, and hurriedly walked out, as if worried about someone's safety.

"Fujimaru, really. He rushed out right after the exam." Yui Yuigahama pouted, but thinking of the cute little girl from this morning, she could only say she understood. She was about to head to the Service Club when Yumiko stopped her to gossip about the blonde girl from this morning.

"Remember to bring some candy for Abby~" She ran into Hiratsuka Shizuka on the way, but didn't stop Fujimaru Ritsuka for a long chat, just giving her that one sentence. Fujimaru Ritsuka quickly agreed, stopped at a shop along the way, and then rushed into the special building.

The Service Club's doors were open, and Fujimaru Ritsuka's heart skipped a beat: Heaven knows he wasn't worried about Abigail's safety, he was worried about the safety of everyone else in the school.

Who would have thought that a little girl like Abigail is a physical type with B strength, A endurance, and C agility?

Even with super Indian Karna and King Arthur, their strength is only B... Even without magic release, Fujimaru Ritsuka doesn't really want to know how much strength Abigail can currently achieve.

He rushed inside and breathed a sigh of relief.

Abigail sat in the chair, a little dazed, slowly kicking her calves.

"Captain! Welcome back!" Abi was a beat late in calling out with joy, then jumped off the chair, leaped across half the activity room, and threw herself into Fujimaru Ritsuka's arms.

"Hehehe~~ You're finally back! Abby has been waiting for you for so long."

"Um, Abigail, I'm back..." Fujimaru Ritsuka looked at Abigail's flushed face and her adorable appearance with suspicion. Recalling their conversation this morning, she couldn't help but ask her, "Abigail, are you drunk?"

Abigail lifted her head from his embrace, pressed her finger to her pink lips, and tilted her head in confusion: "What is drunkenness? Abigail doesn't quite understand."

Is she still conscious? But the door is wide open; Professor Hiratsuka doesn't seem like the type to leave things unresolved, so...

"Abby, you went out to play, right?"

"Eek!" Abigail let out a short, mournful cry, like a small animal.

Fujimaru Ritsuka felt the body in her arms stiffen for a moment.

Seeing Fujimaru Ritsuka's "I knew it" expression, Abigail stammered, unable to bring herself to lie.

Good children shouldn't break their promises and lie...

Abby could only recount his day out with a dejected look, raising his hands to emphasize, "Abby didn't cause any trouble! Abby was always helping the friends he met, and they all said Abby is a good boy."

"Okay, okay, Abby didn't do anything wrong, but because you broke your promise, you'll have to take half the candy you promised." Fujimaru Ritsuka took all the candy out of her pocket, and then took back half of it under Abby's pleading gaze.

"Waaah... the leader is so mean! But Abby thinks this is enough." Abby was relieved—they didn't confiscate everything; the adults are so easy to talk to.

Watching Abby happily peeling candy wrappers and tasting different flavors of snacks, Fujimaru Ritsuka smiled like an aunt.

Incidentally, besides watching the little girl eat, he was also thinking about what Abigail had seen and heard that day.

Several things in the story sounded so familiar that only someone like Abigail, who wasn't very familiar with Japanese school stories, wouldn't know. These things were too similar to some of the seven mysteries circulating on campus, and some even matched the rumors in terms of location and the things involved.

So, Abby did do a few good deeds today, right?

As expected of Abigail.

Just then, there was a knock on the door of the activity room, and Yukino Yukinoshita peeked in, letting out a sigh of relief: "Thank goodness, although I was a little worried that I would see Abby and you in disarray when I came in."

"What do you take me for... I'm not so much a lolicon that I'd commit a crime."

"Who knows? Especially being alone in a room with a little girl, it's a real test of Mr. Fujimaru's patience."
