We've been manipulated!

Just as Chu Yinan was about to get up and "quit," there was a knock on the office door, and before anyone could respond, the door was pushed open.

It wouldn't be good if someone saw this. In that instant, Chu Yinan was anxious about what to do. The female teacher squeezed his body between her legs and pushed him under the desk.

Chapter 5 Suffocation

What's going on here...?

Chu Yinan felt a bit cramped. The space under Ms. Iori's desk wasn't spacious. Although the desk designer had left enough room for leg movement, there were still her spare shoebox and her lunchbox for occasional fruit placed there.

All sorts of things were placed in boxes, neatly arranged together, but this neatness did not give Chu Yinan any more space.

His current posture can be described as half of his head being forced into the skirt, as if he were stuck in a bug, with each hand holding a smooth and slender jade leg.

Chu Yinan dared not utter a sound; if he were discovered, he would truly be in deep trouble.

So why did it turn out like this?

The person who entered the office was not one of the teachers who had just left, but Cheng Yipeng, a male teacher from the first-year high school floor.

Risa Iori wasn't very familiar with this person; they had barely exchanged a few words before. However, since they were both teachers at the same school, she knew him to some extent.

Cheng Yipeng is an intern teacher who just graduated with a master's degree. He is currently an exchange teacher from outside the island. He likes to get close to various female teachers and likes to appoint pretty girls in his class as class representatives or class officers. However, there have been no rumors of anything outrageous about him so far.

Although social morality opposes discrimination, no one can truly eliminate prejudice. Iori Risa does discriminate and hold prejudices against Cheng Yipeng, largely because of his alma mater. Cheng Yipeng is her classmate, a few years her junior.

Iori Risa had already witnessed the atmosphere between boys and girls at school when she was studying away from home. Later, Kim Geun-joon, whom she thought was a virtuous person, disgusted her again, which deepened her prejudice.

There are always people who remain untainted by the mud, but Risa Iori has no intention of paying the cost of trial and error, and usually tries to minimize contact with such people.

Cheng Yipeng walked over to Iori Risa's seat and picked up a cup of fruit juice milk tea:

"Iori-senpai, I'm so sorry I bumped into you when I was getting water earlier. I came to apologize. Is your leg alright?"

It's not a problem for Cheng Yipeng to call Iori Risa "senior," since they're alumni, although it does carry a hint of trying to establish a connection. This is because Iori Risa is about to graduate while Cheng Yipeng is only just entering graduate school, and their respective departments are worlds apart.

Iori Risa noticed that Cheng Yipeng had a subconscious tendency to check her leg for "injuries," so she quickly tucked her entire leg under the table.

Chu Yinan: ? ? ?

This posture is quite awkward, because her lower abdomen is pressed against the drawer, and her bulging chest looks like it's intentionally resting on the table. Even a child who is just learning to sit properly wouldn't sit like this.

But there was no other way; otherwise, the child hiding under the table would be exposed.

Chu Yinan was in a bad mood. His head was already in a very delicate and awkward position, and with Iori Risa squeezing in like that, Chu Yinan's living space was further compressed. His head was now pressed against the deepest part of the abyss, warm and soft.

Moreover, when Iori Risa compressed her position, Chu Yinan's head was a bit stiff, and he happened to be twisting his neck, which unfortunately resulted in him looking completely bewildered.

The air was filled with the delicate fragrance of the young female teacher.

Chu Yinan knew that this was underwear produced by his own company, and it came with the scent of a co-branded perfume. Chu Yinan had smelled this scent on Aunt Liu before.

Risa Iori felt a child's breath on her nose, and her pretty face flushed slightly. She adjusted her breathing and said in a cool but not warm tone:

"It's okay, I didn't get burned, just got my socks wet, it's not a big deal. I don't need this drink, I'm on a diet and don't drink milk tea."

You made me apply medicine even though I wasn't burned! And now you're hiding me under the table!

Chu Yinan thought to himself, but he also understood that Iori Risa was just being polite, trying to get that unknown person outside to leave quickly and not give him any reason to care.

He just saw Ms. Iori's instep, and it was indeed burned.

"It's good that there was no burn. I was worried, so I bought some burn ointment."

Risa Iori pushed the drinks on the table toward Cheng Yipeng:

“It’s not a big problem. I heard from other colleagues that you like to go out, and the UV rays on Twin Islands are sometimes very strong, which could cause burns. You can keep it yourself.”

His words were full of subtle hints that he wanted to send the guest away.

However, Iori Risa's blushing earlier gave Cheng Yipeng the wrong impression that this senior from several years ahead of him was just introverted and shy.

"I still have some, you can keep this box of ointment. Senior Iori, I heard the teachers talk about you and Senior Kim back in school, and they told us to learn from you and not let it affect our studies. How are things between you and Senior Kim now?"

This question was asked intentionally. Normally, couples who have been in a relationship for so long would start planning their wedding after graduation, or at the very least, have an engagement ceremony.

But Risa Iori recently took off her ring, and now she only has a women's watch on her wrist, which makes Cheng Yipeng somewhat suspicious.

However, he was out of touch with the situation and didn't find out where Kim Geun-joon was. Otherwise, he wouldn't have brought up such a sensitive topic.

Risa Iori didn't give him a friendly look this time:

“They broke up. He was a corporate spy and should be in jail right now.”

Chu Yinan silently praised the man as a truly talented individual, though he himself was currently feeling quite distressed.

The air circulation is terrible! Especially with the strong smell of perfume, it's practically suffocating.

Chu Yinan's breathing gradually became heavy and labored, to the point that he even had to pant through his mouth. This panting was also a great stimulus to Iori Risa, who had to press her legs even tighter together to endure it and maintain a calm expression.

Chu Yinan found it even harder to breathe and had to breathe more heavily, creating a vicious cycle.

Iori Risa didn't want to break off relations so quickly, but that would seem too abrupt. However, continuing to endure might expose her, and she also knew that Chu Yinan was in pain.

Upon hearing this news, Cheng Yipeng asked in surprise, "Huh?"

Risa Iori's face suddenly darkened. Taking advantage of the topic of Kim Geun-joon, she clenched her fists and said coldly:

"That's enough. I don't want to talk about Kim Geun-joon. I used to think he was the only upright person in the school who didn't mess around with relationships, but it turns out he's still the same. I'm going to take a lunch break now. Please leave my office."

Cheng Yipeng was taken aback by Iori Risa's sudden change in attitude, unsure whether to apologize or what to say. Was she the only upright person in the school, implying everyone else was corrupt? Did this mean she was including him, Cheng Yipeng, in the list?

"I'm so sorry, I didn't know that such a thing had happened. Well, I'll be going now."

"Take the juice and ointment with you too!"

Cheng Yipeng, who had already taken a few steps, turned back. Considering that he didn't want to provoke someone who was already angry, he didn't say anything more, and left with whatever he had brought.

Chapter 6: In short, the first step is to find the female monster.

Chu Yinan was finally freed from the abyss.

As expected, the power of the abyss was too terrifying; just sniffing its scent at close range made it difficult for him to breathe.

Although the emotional little mind is regretting not having "witnessed the true face of the abyss and tasted its cracks," the rational big mind understands that it is far too dangerous.

The young, beautiful, and sexy female teacher moved her office chair back after Cheng Yipeng left, looking at the child hiding under the table with a helpless yet apologetic gaze.

However, seeing Chu Yinan so embarrassed that he didn't know where to look and awkwardly hid under the table, Iori Risa felt a sense of satisfaction and pleasure, and wanted to see more of the child's embarrassed expressions.

"Come out, what are you still hiding under the table for?"

Chu Yinan crawled out sheepishly, averting his eyes to avoid looking around. He was wondering if now was the best time to find an excuse to slip away.

But what if Iori-sensei holds a grudge against me?

He was breathing quite rapidly through his mouth just now, almost as if he had something in his mouth through a thin layer of lace fabric.

"Just now... just now that person seemed to call Iori-sensei 'senior'?" In her haste, Chu Yinan found a topic that she thought was somewhat acceptable, "It seems like they are very familiar with Iori-sensei."

The female teacher with flowing hair lowered her head and looked at Chu Yinan's difficult expression as he spoke with great interest... Could this child be jealous of my relationship with Cheng Yipeng?

"Are you that concerned about that person?" Risa Iori asked in return.

How could I not care? If it weren't for that bastard, how could I, Chu, have suffered this humiliation?!

Moreover, judging from the man's tone and Iori Risa's response, it felt like her homeroom teacher was being harassed.

As a thoughtful and good student, Chu Yinan couldn't help but care about her teacher's love life, especially since she had already been deceived by Jin Genjun, and it wouldn't be good if she were deceived again.

"I'm just worried, after all, he calls Iori-sensei 'senpai'."

"He's a junior from my old school. It's quite rare to run into a junior from my alma mater at Twin Islands. Unfortunately, this junior of mine, whom I don't know very well, has a somewhat problematic reputation at our alma mater."

Chu Yinan frowned, thinking to himself, "Teacher, your school is a top-tier, prestigious institution, how come there's so much gossip?" He asked:

"Is it that serious? What's the problem?"

Seeing Chu Yinan's serious expression, Iori Risa knew he might have misunderstood, and said:

"If it's a matter of male-female relations, that's just the perspective of people on the artificial island. But if it's being criticized within the school, then it's a matter of how one treats others. As for Cheng Yipeng, subjectively speaking, he's good at seizing opportunities."

"I don't understand," Chu Yinan answered honestly.

“I checked on the alumni forum and found that some people complained that when Cheng Yipeng was the host of school events, he would speak in favor of the guests, who were entrepreneurs from outside the school, in order to please them, and he would refute the outdated knowledge and views of the teachers in the school.”

That's pretty impressive, a true opportunist. No wonder Iori-sensei said he's "good at seizing opportunities"—he's practically begging for the boss's attention...

The knowledge and viewpoints presented in universities are generally those that have stood the test of time, while those that can be criticized are usually new viewpoints that are still inconclusive. It is understandable to refute a professor's academic ideas as too radical or too confident in new ideas, but it is quite absurd to refute outdated viewpoints.

As soon as the topic stopped, Chu Yinan panicked and quickly tried to continue the conversation to prevent the atmosphere from becoming awkward.

"Was the school where Iori-sensei used to have a very bad atmosphere between boys and girls?"

Risa Iori pondered how to explain this to Chu Yinan in a way that would prevent him from misinterpreting it as "co-ed parties being popular at school."

"Judging from the atmosphere on the artificial island, it is indeed very bad. In many places outside the island, especially in economically developed and prosperous areas, men and women are relatively casual with each other. They change boyfriends and girlfriends frequently, but they don't have any long-term plans to have children. They just want to have short-term pleasures and then find someone else to have more pleasure with."

"So... you're open-minded? Why don't you have children?"

"Because everyone feels that they can't afford to raise a child, and even if they do, the child isn't necessarily theirs. Even if they spend a lot of money to raise the child well, the child will still be someone else's laborer; if they don't raise the child well, the child will just be a low-level laborer. The child is just a tool for others to climb the rich list. So if the child is bad, so be it; as long as our generation is happy, that's all that matters."

"Not having children is being responsible for the next generation."

Chu Yinan was confused. He had thought the people at Teacher Yizhi's alma mater were muddle-headed, but it seemed that they were actually quite clear-headed.

That's a problem beyond his experience.

Oh no, we've run out of topics again. But it won't seem abrupt to slip away now, right?

Chu Yinan noticed that Teacher Yizhi didn't punish him for breathing in the wrong air earlier.

"Ms. Iori, it's about time now. I'm going back to the classroom to rest. Aren't you taking a nap?"

"Would you like to take a nap with me?" the female teacher asked with a smile, sounding like she wasn't joking.

Chu Yinan recalled the last time she was caught and forced to take a nap in the school clinic.

This is inappropriate!

"No, no, I have too many classes now. I plan to nap at my desk for about ten minutes and then preview the textbook. Is our training camp going to be outside the island?"

"If there's no last-minute change of plans, then it'll be at Visbel's place. Go take your lunch break!"
