Honkai Summoning.

Su Mo's idea was simple: he wanted to summon demons to find some allies for himself. Even if that didn't work, releasing those guys would muddy the waters, helping him probe for hidden enemies and allowing him to fish in troubled waters.
"If the entire British Empire was involved, does that mean there are other countries in this world? Otherwise, why would they conduct such dangerous experiments?" Su Mo thought to himself.
Everything is shrouded in mystery now, waiting for him to dispel the fog and uncover the truth.
Even Joyce, the island's manager, didn't know who he was truly serving. The only people he interacted with were a minor viscount and some wealthy businessmen.
But the man who was captured here, Tranton, is actually the son of a marquis!
This alone is enough to show how deep the waters are behind this island.
"What an interesting game! It's true that you need to have some goals in life to give you some motivation."
Watching the persuaded Tranton and Joyce begin to plan and perfect the concept of demon summoning, Su Mo couldn't help but smile.
He did his best to help Tranton, not because of the contract or because he was genuinely interested in his soul.
In fact, if Tranton were to die in front of him now, the contract would be invalid, and Su Mo would not be affected; he would simply be sent back to Earth.
For Su Mo, there was actually no loss whatsoever.
After all, they are demons. Even if they sign a seemingly unequal contract, they can't actually suffer any loss. Su Mo didn't gain any benefits before signing the contract, but Arno had already consumed several sacrifices before signing. Even if he couldn't complete the contract in the end, he would only have paid a little time.
The demon, one party to the contract, experiences initial and eventual pleasure, though the process is painful in between. The human, however, is destined for a tragic end, regardless of whether the contract is fulfilled.
Su Mo helped Tranton for two reasons. First, he wanted to improve his own strength. Second, Su Mo naturally had a deep affection for Earth, the planet where he grew up, and didn't want to cause trouble there.
But this world... Su Mo felt he could do some extreme things to test what could truly enhance his strength. Like devouring a demon? Or perhaps swallowing a massive amount of souls?
The second reason isn't related to anything about Gundam; it's simply because "it's quite interesting." Helping Transon take revenge and fulfill his wish is an interesting game for Su Mo.
A long life brings not only benefits, but also endless emptiness and loneliness. Why do those characters in cultivation novels often go into seclusion for hundreds of years? It's because they're bored!
Now that there's a pretty interesting game in front of me, I'll naturally only turn it off when I'm tired of playing it and bored, and then find something else to do.
Before that, of course, it was—
I want to play a game.
Chapter Fourteen: Weapons from Hell?
If Tranton knew that Su Mo viewed his long-cherished desire for revenge, for which he was even willing to pay the price of his soul, as nothing more than a game, I wonder what his reaction would be.
However, Su Mo's idea wasn't exactly malicious. In fact, even for Arno, the obedient and dutiful "good devil," his master's wish was nothing more than a boring game.
The difference lies in the fact that Arno chose to abide by the rules of the contract and was too lazy to make any changes. Su Mo, on the other hand, made numerous modifications within the permitted scope to ensure his own freedom as a "player."
In a sense, it was Su Mo who valued the contract more. Arno, on the other hand, was truly nonchalant; let him be strong, the breeze still caresses the mountain; let him be arrogant, the bright moon still shines over the great river.
As long as I can finally devour the soul I desire, I don't care about the process.
Of course, barring any unforeseen circumstances, Tranton would probably prefer someone like Arno. After all, the strange, mocking smile that occasionally appeared on Su Mo's face really made one want to punch him.
“Excuse me, now that everyone has reached a consensus, let’s gather everyone together. With everyone working together, we can achieve great things and successfully summon the demon,” Su Mo said to Joyce and Tranton.
“Mrs. Liz is enough,” Joyce said.
"Ok?"
"The people in charge on the island have basically all been killed," Joyce said indifferently, as if nothing but demons could concern him. "If they come from the prison, at most a few will escape. Lady Liz is enough to quell the unrest and restore order."
Once calmed down, Joyce resembled a meticulous and shrewd leader, analyzing the situation with great clarity and logic.
"I don't know who I killed, but I killed quite a few," Arno explained briefly in response to Su Mo's gaze.
“Alright, then I’ll do it. Arno, protect our master well. By the way, you wouldn’t even want to kill my young master, would you?” Su Mo said.
“No.” It wasn’t Arno who spoke, but his master, who looked at Tranton and said, “What I want, can you really help me achieve it?”
“I am the son of a marquis. If I leave this island, I can inherit the title when I return.” A noble pride appeared on Tranton’s face.
His parents died mysteriously, but that didn't mean the loss of his title. Other members of the Worbus family still existed; Tranton, as the sole heir, was "missing," not the entire Worbus family had collapsed. Once he left the island, set foot on the mainland, and returned to the capital, he would become the head of the Worbus family.
No one can deny this.
Even the royal family couldn't do that. The power of the royal family in this world is not as vast as that of the emperors at the peak of feudalism, who held the power of life and death over their subjects.
The British Empire, in a sense, is more like a joint-stock company.
The royal family is the largest shareholder and wields the most power, but that doesn't mean they can act arbitrarily against other shareholders.
It should be noted that if other shareholders unite, they can also overthrow the major shareholder.
There should be virtually no problem for Trenton to return and inherit the marquisate.
Unless, of course, the people who sent him here had already expelled the entire Worbus family from the British Empire. But to expel a marquess family in just six months—if those people truly had such ability, then Tranton's parents wouldn't have died mysteriously, and Tranton wouldn't have disappeared.
Rather, it was the direct annihilation of the entire Worbus family.
Why resort to cunning or underhanded tactics? Because you're outmatched in strength. If you could easily crush your opponent through direct confrontation, why would you bother with complicated plans?
Right now, Su Mo's strength on the island is overwhelming, so he doesn't need to worry too much.
All he needed to do was follow the helplessly compromising Mrs. Liz into the background, occasionally displaying his superhuman speed and strength, and that would be enough.
Half an hour later.
The people still alive on the island, including the "island ruling class" who hadn't been killed by Arno, the sacrifices, and even slaves whose status was even lower than the sacrifices, all gathered in the open space in front of the tower.
The Arab design on Tranton's head has been modified. Although it is still bandaged, it has become quite realistic under Arno's "divine skill" of his rough hands.
Dressed in a magnificent aristocratic outfit, Tranton sat atop the high platform, surveying everyone with a cold gaze, befitting a superior, completely overshadowing Joyce beside him.
As for Arno's owner, who had changed into clean clothes but was still inconspicuous next to Tranton, he played the role of a little bean sprout, and his presence was basically the same as that of a background character.
In fact, Su Mo still doesn't know the kid's name.
The simultaneous appearance of Tranton and Joyce, with Tranton clearly acting like "I'm the boss," caused a slight commotion among those who controlled, or thought they controlled, the island.
Of course, this glance immediately subsided after Arno deliberately unleashed his demonic bloodlust.
Those people realized that even Joyce, the island's lord, had compromised and submitted to the original sacrifice. They, as his subordinates, might as well obediently follow their leader's lead.
Otherwise, some people looked at the corpse not far away and the bloodstains on the ground, swallowed hard, and made up their minds to support the only person sitting on the stage and follow his lead without letting up.
As for the original Lord Joyce, what, who was that person?
Even the original controllers behaved this way, so the sacrifices who were imprisoned for experiments, and the slaves who were not imprisoned but were even more submissive than the sacrifices, naturally would not show any spirit of resistance.
"Do you want to live?" Tranton's cold gaze slowly swept over the crowd as he spoke. His deliberately lowered, deep voice made it easy to forget that he was still a child—even in a world where fifteen was the age of adulthood, Tranton was still a child.
"I am giving you the chance to live."
Ignoring the reactions of the crowd, Tranton continued, "Whether you can seize this opportunity or not depends on yourselves. Those who cannot will be buried along with this island."
These few cold, yet murderous words sent chills down the spines of those below the stage.
Even Mrs. Liz, who was not far away, was affected.
"Ahem, young master, I must remind you, even if Arno and I join forces, we can't sink or bury this island." King Trent's domineering aura was spreading wildly, and Su Mo had to give the little guy a slight reminder.
Su Mo didn't want to face a gloomy-faced brat for a while in the future.
Even from a strict perspective, Tranton's face is quite pleasing to the eye; a smile is much better than a gloomy one.
Hearing the whisper in his ear, Tranton gritted his teeth, turned his head, and gave his unruly butler a stern look.
“He’s right, we really have no choice,” Arno said from the side, perfectly illustrating what it means to kick someone when they’re down.
"I see!"
Tranton squeezed out a few words through gritted teeth, and the momentum he had just managed to muster dissipated.
“Next, we will hold a ritual to summon demons. Each of you will have the opportunity to become the master of demons, or to become their food.” Tranton let out a breath, his voice becoming clearer and louder.
"Those who survive, I will take them away from the island... I think you all have someone you want to take revenge on. As the masters of demons, they will help you fulfill your wishes, but the price will be your souls!" After saying that, Tranton stood up, and left in a rather dashing manner, without leaving a trace.
There was no time for anyone to ask questions or consider, but it's not that this kid has become so domineering that he doesn't tolerate any dissenting voices.
Instead, he was worried that if he stayed any longer, his devilish butler might come out and sabotage him.
"I'm leaving it to you." Su Mo said to Arno and the others, following Tranton's steps. As a butler, he naturally had to stay by his master's side at all times and carry out his master's orders—probably.
Back in his room at the bottom of the tower, Tranton asked, "Are you confident you can control the summoned demons?"
After initial discussions between Tranton and Joyce, the ritual for summoning the demon was significantly improved. With some time, both felt about 80% confident they could successfully summon the demon. Under these circumstances, Tranton naturally had some other concerns.
The reason he is so powerful now is because he has a powerful demon butler—the other master and servant pair are completely outmatched by them in terms of intelligence.
But are all other demons as easy to talk to as Arno?
“Keeping the master under control is enough. At least we all have a common enemy, so there shouldn’t be any major conflicts before we leave the island,” Su Mo said.
Demons are unpredictable, but the minds of people are easier to fathom. Everyone is an unfortunate soul suffering on the island; whether to turn on each other immediately after gaining power or to seek revenge after leaving, they will likely make the right choice.
Yes, none of the island's rulers, including the rather cooperative Joyce, intended for them to leave alive.
These people will only be sacrifices, and can never become the master of the devil!
What Su Mo and Tranton really wanted to win over were the "sacrifices" and slaves, as they were the partners who shared the same stance and could cooperate with them.
"Besides, even if they wanted to do something, they couldn't possibly do it." Su Mo smiled and walked to the back of the car, opening the trunk. "Young Master, come and see the weapons from hell. I think you'll like them."
Chapter Fifteen: The Ceremony Begins
The trunk was crammed full of modern firearms and ammunition, including an RPG.
Su Mo wasn't driving this car for fun; he was heading straight for the Church of the Cross's stronghold. The Church of the Cross's stronghold wasn't a place one could come and go as they pleased.
If Su Mo hadn't happened to be caught in the midst of the enemy's internal strife, it would have been a fierce battle, a fight that would have been fought all the way in.
Since it's a battle, how could Su Mo be completely unprepared?
The large number of weapons in the trunk were his preparations, but when Su Mo arrived, he found that the other side was fighting fiercely and there was no one to stop him, so he didn't bother to take these things out.
He barged in with two pistols and some magazines.
When they came out later, they had just avoided the "mini earthquake" caused by the Christians, and their car was summoned here.
"What are these things? Are they used for the same purpose as flintlock muskets?"
Tranton walked over, looked at it for a while, and then frowned and asked. Su Mo began to tossing him a pistol for self-defense, which was somewhat similar in design to flintlock pistols in this world. Tranton quickly learned its purpose.
However, the sniper rifles, assault rifles, and submachine guns in the trunk have somewhat different designs. It's understandable that Tranton would ask this question.
