Honkai Summoning.

The only thing he had to do for the rest of his life was to summon demons.
This person is a complete demon fanatic, and why he would develop such fanatical feelings for such obviously terrifying creatures remains a mystery.
Perhaps, everyone needs some kind of spiritual sustenance?
It's just that some people have rather strange expectations.
Moreover, demons aren't as bad as legend suggests. According to that strict contract, basically all demons who come to this world are the perfect employees—the kind every boss would love.
What's it like to communicate with a demon fanatic while posing as a demon? It's probably like an idol communicating with their fan—even something as simple as picking your nose exudes an amazing, all-powerful feeling.
Su Mo certainly wasn't picking his nose; he had merely shown a slight interest in the method of summoning demons. Joyce, without hesitation, poured out everything he knew. If the circumstances weren't unfavorable, Joyce would have personally demonstrated to Su Mo how to summon a demon.
It wouldn't be wrong to use himself as a sacrifice.
"What do you want to do? Summon other demons?" Arno asked Su Mo. Judging from Su Mo's behavior, he felt that he had noticed something.
“That’s right.” Su Mo readily admitted, “Your wish is easy to fulfill. My young master is a nobleman, which in this world would be the standard exploitative class. Even when facing demons, he doesn’t change his skin-pitting nature. His wish is not simple. I think finding some allies is a good way to achieve it.”
"Who is Zhou Bapi?" Arno stopped and turned to ask.
Su Mo looked at Arno's curious face: "You're focusing on the wrong thing."
"Who is Zhou Bapi?" Arno repeated, more interested in this than Su Mo's plan.
“A very stingy landlord, a class enemy of the broad masses of working people,” Su Mo casually explained.
Two people—no, a demon and another imposter demon—were walking up the steps to the bottom of the tower. Ahead of them was Joyce, who was responsible for comforting those who hadn't been killed by Arnold—even though those people's ultimate fate should not have escaped Arnold's clutches, and even Joyce himself.
Su Mo then went to discuss with Tranton what they needed to do next, namely the important matter of summoning other demons.
Although Joyce did the preparations for summoning the demon, it was Tranton who ultimately succeeded in summoning the demon and stealing the fruit.
As for Arno's owner, he was a lucky one.
Although it is unknown how Tranton initiated the ritual to summon the demon, Joyce was, after all, an old hand who had studied demons for many years.
After a brief conversation with Su Mo, it was basically possible to deduce what had happened.
Summoning demons is certainly not a matter without consequences.
Aside from those miscellaneous precious materials, the most severe price to pay was naturally the sacrifice—human lives.
Each time a demon is summoned, the sacrifice required is not just one person, but many. This time, the upcoming sacrifice will involve a full twenty people, and although Tranton is the most important, he is only one of them.
Tranton preemptively performed the ritual, successfully summoning Su Mo, the imposter demon. Arno's master was lucky enough to also sign a contract with Arno. However, the other sacrifices were not so fortunate, and actually became the sacrifices for summoning the demon.
According to Arno, he only ate a small portion of it; the rest were torn apart. In any case, apart from Trent and the lucky hitchhiker, everyone else suffered a tragic fate of being annihilated and never to be reincarnated.
Of course, these two people wouldn't fare any better than the other sacrifices. Perhaps Tranton would fare a little better.
Although Su Mo devours souls, it's a completely different concept from a demon consuming souls. To him, apart from certain special souls, most souls are simply a pure life force.
Taste and form are meaningless; he can't sense any taste when he devours souls.
The demon devours the soul by truly consuming it, while Su Mo simply grabs it and stuffs it into an invisible pocket as "spare life force."
If he were to encounter something that could enhance his strength, such as Akat, Su Mo would imprint it onto that tattered piece of paper to completely devour it and acquire everything from it, rather than using it as a consumable.
This is no simple matter, as can be seen from the fact that Su Mo suppressed Akat and only obtained Akat's ability to transform into a shadow by relying on the power of others.
Of course, Su Mo is now the owner of that mysterious piece of paper, and the initiative is in his hands, which is much better than before.
So, Su Mo, who was in a somewhat good mood, did something.
"thumping!"
A crisp gunshot echoed through the tower.
Arno turned to look at Su Mo: "What are you doing?"
Su Mo put away his gun and said, "I'm just testing whether human weapons are really ineffective against us. This is my first time in this world, so it's always better to be cautious."
Arno's lips twitched: "You won't experiment on yourself?" On his chest, a wound that hadn't bled was slowly healing, along with his tight-fitting butler's tuxedo.
"I'm afraid of pain." Su Mo said matter-of-factly. "As a strong person, you shouldn't be like me, right?"
Arno turned around again: "How could a strong person be afraid of pain?" It was unclear whether he was truly convinced by Su Mo or simply too lazy to bother with such a trivial matter.
"Human weapons are indeed useless, what a strange setting." Looking at Arno's back, Su Mo thought to himself, "Or is it just that his recovery ability is particularly strong?"
Su Mo remained skeptical about the idea of human weapons against demons. First of all, the very definition of "human weapons" seemed rather strange.
The gun Su Mo used was a human-made weapon, ineffective against demons. As for the Love Lock, while it was indeed crafted by humans, it certainly surpasses the definition of a "human weapon" in this world by every aspect. Would it be effective against demons?
Compared to the idea of human weapons, Su Mo is more inclined to believe that demons have exceptionally strong regenerative abilities, or that demons, like Su Mo, exist in a physical form, and that only by harming that physical form can they truly be harmed.
"I should summon one later to conduct some experiments and see just how powerful the demon really is. Otherwise, if I create something that I can't handle, wouldn't I be shooting myself in the foot?" Su Mo thought as he walked.
If Su Mo couldn't even handle the demons he summoned, then he really wouldn't die if he didn't do it.
As for why Arno wasn't used for experiments, Su Mo didn't think all demons were as easy to talk to as Arno. He didn't want to push an ally who was basically already a confirmed ally to the opposite side.
The three quickly arrived at the room on the ground floor of the tower, where Joyce and Arno both showed some interest in the car inside.
Tranton sat on the bed, his calm demeanor radiating a dazzling aura of "dominance." Beside him stood Arno's master, looking like a loyal underling.
It seems that Tranton has successfully subdued him.
As usual, Mrs. Liz huddled to one side, while the gun in Trent's hand was pointed at her intentionally or unintentionally, though it was unclear whether the woman was aware of it.

Upon seeing Joyce, Arno's master immediately became excited and was about to speak, but Tranton did not say anything. Instead, he raised a hand to signal the boy to be quiet.
The brat opened his mouth, then closed it without making a sound, only staring at Joyce with resentment.
"No wonder he's from a noble family," Su Mo thought to himself.
When he first saw that crazy, laughing, immature teenager, he never expected that this guy would be such a calm person.
But thinking about it, it's understandable. Tranton must have been overwhelmed by incredibly complex emotions to have reacted so dramatically. If he truly lacked ability, how could he have secretly initiated the ritual and summoned the demon first?
While luck played a part, it's clear that Tranton was no spoiled brat.
Besides, being a "chuunibyou" (a person with delusions of grandeur) doesn't conflict with being smart at all. Who says people with chuunibyou aren't smart? Chuunibyou can even date, so why can't they act smart?
With such a clever master, Su Mo believed that his life in this world would be much more comfortable.
In contrast, Su Mo couldn't help but look at Arno with pity; neither of the master and servant seemed intelligent.
It's obvious at a glance that they're good material for being thugs or cannon fodder.
Arno stood there expressionless, not bothering to care what Su Mo was thinking. As a demon, although he was wearing a butler's uniform, it didn't mean he would think too much about things; his contract was much simpler than Su Mo's.
On this deserted island, it would be extremely easy for Arno to fulfill the contract. Why bother with something so simple?
"What do you want to do?" Tranton asked Su Mo. "Sebastian." He didn't know Su Mo's real name, so he naturally used this title to address him.
“Of course, it’s to fulfill the contract,” Su Mo said. “I’m a very trustworthy person.”
"Do demons even have the concept of keeping their word?" Tranton couldn't help but sneer.
“Please trust the integrity of a demon who has signed a contract,” Su Mo said, looking at Arno. “Otherwise, you can have that brat order his one to smash a big hole in the wall and see what happens. I guarantee he’ll do it without hesitation.”
“What if I give you an order?” Tranton asked, looking at Su Mo.
Despite being bound by the power of the contract, Tranton was certain the summoned demon wouldn't harm him. However, a nameless fear arose from his very being, making him extremely wary.
"Although we are all demons, I am not a fighter." Su Mo waved his hand with a smile.
Tranton snorted coldly, not dwelling on the matter further: "If you're not going to kill these people, what are you planning to do?"
“Of course, it’s to fulfill your wish, young master.” Su Mo rephrased his previous words in a different way, emphasizing his “unwavering loyalty” before saying, “These people and this island, although they have some other uses, are mainly used to summon demons, right?”
“Of course,” Joyce said. As a demon fanatic and the island’s highest-ranking official, he naturally had to set aside other minor tasks on the island compared to the major task of summoning demons.
"You want to continue summoning demons?" Tranton looked at Su Mo, seemingly understanding something.
Arno, who had been silent the whole time, turned his head, gave Su Mo a strange look, and then turned back.
“That’s right.” Su Mo nodded in agreement.
Tranton and the others frowned and remained silent, but Joyce became excited and immediately said, "The materials on the island are enough for one or two more summoning rituals, and we have a bit too many offerings..."
"Shut up!"
Before Joyce could finish speaking, Tranton shouted sharply.
Clearly, summoning demons and making sacrifices are not pleasant memories for Tranton; in fact, they could be considered taboo.
Furthermore, it's estimated that the word "women's clothing" is something Tranton would never want to see or mention again in his life.
Unfortunately, Joyce's being a demon fanatic didn't mean he was afraid of Tranton. Tranton's words, on the contrary, made him narrow his eyes and fixate on him.
If it weren't for the presence of the two demon lords beside him, Joyce would probably have already taught this disobedient sacrifice a lesson.
“Joyce has mastered the method of summoning demons, while my young master is a true success story. If the two of you cooperate, you should be able to increase the success rate of summoning demons, and perhaps even succeed a couple more times,” Su Mo said.
Tranton didn't speak. His successful summoning of the demon actually involved an element of luck. This guy had simply endured being carried out, memorizing the complex pattern while the magic circle was being inscribed on his body, and then using his own blood and some dirt as materials, he unexpectedly succeeded.
Prior to this, Joyce had never succeeded even once.
"By the way, since you've gone to so much trouble to summon demons, do you have a way to make a pact with them?" Su Mo asked Joyce.
This is essentially a positive answer. If the summoned demons can only choose "sacrifices" as their masters, then things get interesting.
Joyce could accept the fact that he was just a simple demon fanatic. But what about the forces behind this island? Were they so bored that they wanted to destroy him by creating such a deadly enemy for him?
“According to the records, only the person who presides over the ritual has the right to make a pact with the demon.” Joyce’s gaze swept over Transon and the brat next to him, as if he was thinking about why the ritual had gone wrong, with two people making pacts with the demon in succession.
Su Mo said, "We're not busy now. We still have time for you to study the ritual for summoning demons properly."
"Do you want your kind to invade this world?" Tranton said to Su Mo.
“Of course not, my dear young master.” Su Mo shook his head and explained, “Everything I did was to help you fulfill your wish.”
Tranton's wish is no simple matter; he wants to eliminate all the masterminds behind it all, which is no easy task even for Su Mo, who possesses an immortal body.
It is now confirmed that this is a closed, isolated island nation. Therefore, Tranton's enemies must come from within the country, and the power behind it that can occupy an island and continuously transport "sacrifices" and supplies at regular intervals must be unimaginably vast.
Su Mo even suspected that the worst-case scenario was that the island was backed by the highest levels of the entire British Empire.
Fighting a nation alone?
Even in countries that haven't yet entered the Industrial Revolution, this is not a choice a smart person would make.
