I don't want to be a dragon maid!

Noah frowned slightly; she hadn't expected her first prey to be this kind of rabbit.

The pink-haired girl immediately became anxious and shouted loudly.

"If I disagree, then none of this applies! You must continue to be tested!"

The white snake's wide-open mouth revealed a human-like smile, which was terrifying to behold!

Chapter Nineteen: I'm Just a Passing Maid

"This is the fourth test already, and we don't have much magic left..."

Another pink-haired girl said calmly.

"Damn it! Everyone, concentrate your magic and kill this monster!"

The older pink-haired girl shouted, and the surrounding magicians quickly gathered together, various magic circles flashing and appearing in their hands.

Noah needs to focus all her attention on Shelley now, and she should try to avoid getting involved in other things.

Noah slowly raised her head, only to see those green snake eyes staring intently at her.

"A new human, are you an accomplice?"

The giant snake spoke with an air of majesty as it flicked its tongue.

"No, no, no, I'm just a maid who was passing by. Please continue, please continue..."

Noah smiled awkwardly and took a step back, trying to get around the giant snake.

Noah had barely taken a few steps when his enormous tail slammed down in front of her.

"Do you think I'll believe you just because you say that? You humans are all cunning creatures."

The giant snake let out a disdainful sound.

"Haha, I really didn't mean any harm! I just came out to find something to eat!"

Noah's face was dripping with sweat as she answered politely.

"Why do it this way? I don't want to be your enemy either. Wouldn't it be better if we both took a step back and things were fine...?"

"I don't care if you're a passerby or an accomplice; once you come here, you're going to be tested!"

The giant serpent looked Noah up and down, as if it had found a new toy, and once again showed that human-like smile on its face.

However, upon hearing the word "experiment," the pink-haired girl beside them trembled slightly, and they looked at the giant snake with terrified expressions.

Noah looked the serpent up and down, then smiled and said with narrowed eyes.

"You have no right to refuse! Here I am God! You humans must participate in my trials to entertain me!"

With a flick of its long tail, the serpent conjured three-meter-high ice spikes that suddenly appeared from the ground, blocking Noah's path.

Noah sighed deeply, her expression calm, and spoke slowly.

"We have no grudge against each other, so why target me like this?"
