Chapter Twenty-Four: You Will Definitely Become a Great Magician!

"Lord Shelley, what are you thinking? Noah will never leave you!"

Noah patted her chest and said with a smile.

"After all, it's rare to find a master as fun as Lord Shelley!"

As Noah spoke, he jumped behind Shelley's neck and gently blew a breath.

"Waaah!"

Shelley couldn't help but cry out. She quickly stepped back, looking at Noah with her face flushed red.

"What...what are you doing?"

“Oh dear, Lord Shelley, you are so sensitive. You get excited just from a breath.”

Noah narrowed her eyes slightly, and a hint of malice crept into her smile.

“I know about four such sensitive areas, such as the right ankle and the back…”

Shelley felt goosebumps all over her body, her eyes slightly moist, and she spoke loudly.

"How...how did you know?"

“Lady Shelley, as I have said, understanding one’s master’s body is one of the essential skills for a maid.”

Noah's face and body became mysterious as she spoke slowly.

"Or perhaps it should be described as a maid's intuition and skill! The kind ingrained in her DNA,"

"I've already said it, I've never heard of any maid having such an ability!"

Shelley couldn't help but complain.

"This isn't a maid's ability. This kind of abnormal ability must be your own creation!"

“Oh dear, Lord Shelley, you flatter me. I’m not that good.”

Noah scratched his head and said embarrassedly.

"I wasn't praising you! You perverted maid!"

Shelley became even angrier, and she clenched her fists and shouted.

"Haha, Shelley's witty remarks are as sharp as ever!"

Noah stuck out her tongue, her expression softening as she spoke.

"Lord Shelley, you should feel much more at ease now, right?"

"Easy? What's so easy... Sigh?"

Shelley was about to retort when she realized that her inner turmoil seemed to be released along with her anger.

Shelley felt much more relaxed at this moment; the oppressive feeling had disappeared.

"So, Noah, you did this on purpose, to make things easier for me?"

Shelley looked at Noah, her expression very complicated.

"That's right. Actually, what I just said was all a joke, about 30% of it was a joke."

Noah stood to one side, and said with a smile on her face.

"So you're serious about the remaining 70%..."

Shelley couldn't help but say.

"But I'm very serious about the statement that Noah will never leave you!"

Noah gently took Shelley's hand, and she put away her playful smile and said very seriously.

“I see many possibilities in Lord Shelley. No matter which path he takes, Lord Shelley can succeed.”

"So, you've been staying by my side because you're attracted to my talent?"

Shelley was silent for a moment, then asked cautiously.

"The main reason is that I like Lord Shelley. But that's only part of the reason. It's easy to add flowers to brocade, but difficult to provide charcoal in the snow. If Lord Shelley becomes successful in the future, I'll shamelessly go and ask to be adopted. At that time, Lord Shelley probably won't even look at me."

Noah responded in a very serious manner.

"You really have a lot of tricks up your sleeve."

Shelley felt much more relaxed after hearing this. She had witnessed Noah's strength. Since Noah said so, she should be able to become a magic master in the future, right?

Seeing Shelley's gradually relaxing expression, Noah knew she was right.

Noah could not possibly know what Shelley would become in the future, but she could see Shelley's inferiority complex and confusion.

This is not a good thing for Shelley, who is still in the development stage. If she is not careful, it may really limit her development for the rest of her life.

So Noah encouraged Shelley in his own way, helping his master to be more confident, but that was the duty of a maid.

"In short, it is certain that Lord Shelley will become a great magician in the future."

Noah remained unfazed and continued to shower Shelley with compliments.

"When your dreams come true in the future, please, Lord Shelley, do not despise me, a mere maid."

"Of course, the day I become a great mage, I will protect you..."

Shelley fiddled with her curly blonde hair and said somewhat shyly.

"I also believe that day will come."

Noah nodded and said with a smile.

"Alright, then I'm going to study magic now!"

Shelley clenched her fists, her pale blue eyes seeming to burn with flames, and she strode quickly toward her room.

She hadn't taken more than a few steps when her legs gave way, and she collapsed to the ground, feeling unsteady on her feet.

"Lord Shelley, what's wrong? Has your wound reopened?"

Noah quickly went to Shelley and carefully examined her entire body.

"I'm so hungry... I haven't had breakfast yet, I can't take it anymore, my legs are too weak..."

Shelley covered her reddened forehead, tears welling in her eyes, and muttered softly.

Only then did Noah realize that the sun was now high in the sky, and Shelley hadn't eaten anything since the previous night.

With Noah working at full speed, all the food was served within half an hour.

Seeing the steaming roast meat and stew served on the table, Shelley abandoned her ladylike demeanor and picked up a fork to start eating.

"This meat is so delicious, Noah, it's so tender and fragrant, it melts in your mouth, and your mouth is full of meaty flavor."

Shelley swallowed the last piece, biting her fork and licking the last bit of juice off it.

"Noah, what kind of meat is this? I feel much more energetic after eating it."

"The source of this meat is the maid's secret!"

Noah said mysteriously.

She dared not tell them that the meat actually contained the stinky, fishy tail of a white snake.

Perhaps because it was a "god," the fishy-smelling scales on the surface were shaved off, revealing a pure white piece of meat underneath, emitting a faint fragrance. This meat was clearly of the highest quality.

Noah even tested the poison on herself to confirm it wasn't poisonous. Then, she felt relieved and dismembered the white snake, cutting it into several pieces. One piece was used to make soup, another to be fried, and the last piece was stored in her magic space.

However, when cooking, Noah once wanted to cook his own tail into roast meat and serve it to Shelley, just like a certain dragon maid senior.

Cutting off the tail sounded painful, so Noah eventually gave up the idea and obediently served the dish.

It took 30 minutes to cook the food, but only 10 minutes to eat it. Even though Shelley ate in small bites, the broth and roast meat disappeared at an astonishing speed.

Shelley put down her knife and fork and sat down in her chair with a satisfied look on her face. Her face, which had been pale, was now much rosier. Noah could tell that Shelley's previously depleted magic power had been fully replenished and was even stronger than before.

A single meal can make someone stronger. No wonder he is called the "God of the Spring." He easily accomplished something that even I, a maid, could not do!

Noah couldn't help but exclaim in admiration.

Chapter Twenty-Five: Noah's Gift and Shelley's Return Gift

If the god of the springs knew what I said, he would probably be so angry that he would vomit blood!

Noah thought to himself with such malice.

However, thinking of the god of springs, Noah remembered something. She reached into her pocket and felt for the silver bracelet and the translucent glass bead.

"Lord Shelley, is it your birthday?"

Noah looked at Shelley, who said with a smile.

"My birthday... My birthday is June 23rd, which is still a few months away..."

Shelley looked thoughtful and spoke with effort.

"Did anyone give Lord Shelley a birthday present before?"

Noah asked again.

"Noah, what do you mean by that? Are you mocking me for not receiving any gifts?"

Shelley looked at Noah and said somewhat nervously.

"Let me tell you, I do get birthday presents. When I was ten, my brother wished me a happy birthday! When I was eleven, my sister gave me a flower wreath she made herself."

"But what impressed me the most was when I was fifteen. They made a small magic wand for me, even though I couldn't use any magic at all... No, Noah, what's with that expression?"

Noah wiped away her tears and said sadly.

“I’m sorry, Lord Shelley, I didn’t know you had such a difficult childhood. Noah is saddened for you…”

"Who wants you to be sad for me? I had a pretty good childhood, even though those two little rascals often caused me trouble and I often didn't have enough to eat, but... Noah, what are you going to do?"

Before Shelley could finish speaking, Noah stepped forward and hugged her tightly. This time, she didn't have any strange intentions; she was simply feeling sorry for the girl in front of her.

Shelley seemed to sense Noah's emotions, and her struggles gradually subsided. After a long while, she slowly placed her hand on Noah's back.

The two hearts began to beat faster!
