Pokémon: Starting with Lucario and Gardevoir

Haoyan smiled warmly and said, "Congratulations, you've found a companion who shares your goals!"

"Thank you! Thank you!" Xiaoxia understood what Haoyan meant. She smiled through her tears and squeezed Haoyan's hand tightly.

She was happy; she had gained another trustworthy companion.

... ...

"Xiaoxia, this is my number. If you encounter any problems, feel free to contact me." Haoyan handed Xiaoxia a slip of paper and wrote down his number.

"Haoyan, you too, if you need anything, please be sure to call me!" Xiaoxia handed Haoyan a slip of paper with a number written on it.

Having quelled the Gyarados riot, Misty must return to Cerulean City to heal her injured Gyarados.

Hiroto, on the other hand, was going to Pallet Town to find Professor Oak.

The two are about to break up.

"Alright, I'm off then." Haoyan waved to Xiaoxia and prepared to leave.

"Okay, see you next time, comrade!"

Xiaoxia clutched the piece of paper with Haoyan's number written on it tightly, silently watching Haoyan's figure gradually disappear.

Chapter 41 My Turn

Beyond Route 4 lies a continuous mountain range, Mount Tsukimi.

Mount Tsukimi is difficult to climb, and most travelers pass through caves in the mountain.

Mount Tsukimi is famous for its wild pikas and frequent meteor showers.

After passing through Mount Tsukimi, Hirohiko arrived in Nibi City.

... ...

When you come to Nibi, you should definitely visit the Nibi City Museum.

This museum displays many fossils of ancient Pokémon.

Haoyan meticulously recorded the shapes and characteristics of these fossils.

The Pewter Museum and the Cinnabar Research Institute have collaborated to develop a machine that can extract organic matter from fossils containing ancient Pokémon.

Extract the DNA of ancient Pokémon and then revive them using scientific methods.

The technology sparked a craze for fossil excavation as soon as it was introduced.

Many people venture deep into the mountains just to find a fossil!

An ordinary fossil can fetch between 300 million.

If the item is in good condition or is in good condition, the price will be higher!

However, among this type of fossil, there is one that is the cheapest.

That is the secret amber that can revive the fossil pterosaur.

It is priced at only half the price of a regular fossil.

Among all the revived Pokémon, Aerodactyl may not be the strongest, but it is the most ferocious!

There are frequent news reports of trainers being injured by Aerodactyls because their skills were insufficient to suppress their ferocity.

Therefore, many trainers dare not revive or breed Aerodactyls, causing the price of Secret Amber to plummet.

Even with the price drop, a single fossil can still fetch millions!

It's never a bad thing to familiarize yourself with fossils.

We've even encountered Suicune; who knows, maybe one day we'll get lucky and actually find a fossil.

... ...

After learning about the fossils, Haoyan left the Nibi Museum and had only walked a few steps when he saw a notice board.

Several trainers were gathered there, discussing in hushed tones.

"Brock has increased the difficulty again, refusing to accept challenges from new trainers. You must defeat his Onix to obtain the badge."

"Hey, his Onix is so big and strong. If my Squirtle gets hit, it'll probably lose in no time."

"His Onix is his main battle Pokémon. It's said that Brock and his Onix grew up together and have an excellent teamwork!"

"Yes, before the challenge, you have to defeat two elite trainers from Pewter City Gym in succession."

"This is too difficult! It's like they're not giving us a chance to get badges at all," the two rookie trainers complained quietly.

Hearing the two trainers' complaints, Hao Yan frowned slightly.

Brock is the Gym Leader of Pewter City, which is not far from Pallet Town.

It is the first gym that many new trainers in Pallet Town, who have obtained their starter Pokémon and then embark on their journey, challenge.

As the first gym to be challenged, the gym leader will more or less go easy on the gym.

So as not to undermine the confidence of new trainers.

Brock directly released his main battle Pokémon, which clearly meant he wasn't giving these trainers a chance to obtain badges.

This is somewhat illogical.

Haoyan took two steps forward and glanced at the contents of the notice board.

There was only one large poster on it, with just a few simple words on it!

"Pewter City Gym, Brock looks forward to challenging powerful Trainers!"

... ...

"Since we're already here, why not give Xiao Gang a try and see how good he is?"

Although Haoyan didn't know what had happened to Xiaogang, since he had come all the way to the Kanto region, he might as well give him a challenge.

Gardevoir hasn't battled any other trainers since evolving, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to give it a try.

With that in mind, Hao Yan headed towards the Nibi Dojo.

... ...

Dojos are arguably the most iconic buildings in any city.

Despite the increased difficulty in obtaining badges, the Pewter Gym remained bustling with people.

After Xiao Gang increased the difficulty of the battles, anyone who dares to challenge him will be quite strong.

This naturally attracted many local spectators to watch the game.

Inside the Pewter Gym, there are three huge arenas, and on each arena, a challenging trainer is battling against the gym's elite.

The dojo master, Brock, stood shirtless, arms crossed, watching the battle.

Behind him, a large rock serpent exuding an imposing aura coiled up.

There can only be one master, and not everyone has the opportunity to challenge him.

To challenge a gym leader, you must first defeat the gym's elite trainers before you are qualified to challenge the gym leader.

Xiao Gang's squinty eyes darted between the three arenas.

Their eyes were filled with undisguised disappointment, even though a few trainers had defeated the gym's elite trainers.

But after a hard-fought battle, they are qualified to challenge him.

However, the Pokémon they were using were already out of stamina.

Continuing to challenge will only lead to defeat.

... ...

Haoyan turned his gaze away from the arena and went to the information desk to register.

At Nibi Dojo, there was a special information desk. Haoyan took his number and waited on the side.

The trainers battling in the arena are on average around level 20.

To be honest, I've already moved beyond being a rookie and become an ordinary trainer, and I'm moving towards becoming an elite trainer.

However, their fighting style is one-on-one, making a battle like a turn-based game.

This kind of battle is a bit boring.

However, the boredom didn't last long.

On the first arena, a trainer using a Pidgeotto walked off the stage looking utterly defeated.

He lost to a Graveler from an elite trainer.

The information desk immediately began broadcasting: "Please, contestant number 11, Haoyan, proceed to ring number one."

"It's my turn." Haoyan stretched his neck and slowly stepped onto the stage.

... ...

Chapter 42 Easy Victory

Hao Yan's opponent was a greasy middle-aged man wearing a t-shirt and covered in muscles. In front of him was a rumble stone.

Upon seeing the young and handsome Haoyan, he was somewhat dismissive.

"Kid, you're really unlucky to have run into me."

"If you encounter someone else, you might be lucky enough to pass the second stage."

"Unfortunately, your opponent is me!"

"I once participated in the Quartz Contest and achieved a remarkable 36th place, earning me the nickname 'Iron Man'!"

"So I advise you to obediently step down from the stage, otherwise it will be embarrassing if you lose!"

Keita was full of confidence in himself; he had just defeated three challengers in a row.

Hao Yan glanced at the other party's rumblestone, and the data naturally appeared in his mind.
