"You're no boss! Let me tell you, people like you are inherently a level below us. Don't think that just because you've gotten lucky and become a manager, you can be my equal. I'm telling you, come here now and apologize honestly, and call your underlings back! Otherwise, don't blame me for being impolite!" the foreigner shouted.
Shi Chengzhong slowly stood up, his eyes blazing with arrogance. The foreigner didn't care about his appearance; Shi Chengzhong had been like this before, and he would succumb to reality, just like before.
Swish!
Shi Chengzhong teleported directly in front of the foreigner, a set of gauntlets condensing on his fists, and then he slammed down with a powerful punch.
The foreigner reacted quickly, raising a golden arm shield with his right hand to block Shi Chengzhong's fist.
Peng!
The foreigner was sent flying backwards, and the men he brought immediately surrounded Shi Chengzhong.
“If you want to spar, I’m always ready.” Shi Chengzhong’s knuckles cracked as he looked across the crowd at the foreigner who had one foot planted on the wall to steady himself. “Keep your men in check. Let me tell you, as long as I’m here, I am the head of the Hong Kong Temple.”
"In Hong Kong, subordinates are not allowed to talk back to their superiors, understand?"
"Good, very good. I'd like to see how you maintain stability in the area without us." The foreigner straightened up, his arm still twitching. In terms of personal strength, he was a level below Shi Chengzhong; otherwise, Shi Chengzhong wouldn't have been able to take the position of head despite having less power than him.
After making his threats, the foreigner led his men out. There were already two rows of fully armed mages standing outside the door. These were all genuine Chinese mages. Although their numbers were fewer than the foreigners', with Shi Chengzhong leading them, their imposing presence was definitely superior.
"Master, they're probably going to strike. What should we do?"
After the foreigners left, a Chinese monk walked up to Shi Chengzhong and asked softly.
"How's it going with the key technologies I had you learn from each step?" Shi Chengzhong asked calmly.
"We can handle most of the tasks, but we're still a bit lacking in some of the testing aspects of the Magic Network."
"Then we'll make do. Even if it's just trial and error, you have to fill in. You have to hold on even if it's three shifts! Hong Kong is part of China. I don't want to slink away and beg them to come back, understand?!"
"understand!"
Chapter 83 The probability of reality is 100% or zero.
"Tru~ Tru~ Why hasn't Jackie Chan come back yet?"
The old man looked at the screen in front of him, took off his glasses, rubbed his eyes, and shouted.
“Master, Jackie Chan said he won’t be back for a few more days. He’s currently conducting archaeological research in the Middle East. I heard they’ve discovered a huge ancient tomb there.”
Tru ran up to his father a little nervously and said that it was the first time he had ever heard Jackie Chan so excited. It seemed that the archaeological expedition over there must have made a big discovery.
"A few days later?" Dad frowned. "What's the point of having him come back when everything's over? Tru, give me the phone."
"Yes, Master." Tru handed the phone to his father and dialed Jackie Chan's cell phone, but no one answered for a long time.
"Ding-dong~ Welcome!"
Just as the old man was getting a little angry, Lam Ching-ying led a tall, thin man in quickly through the door.
"Dad, I need to talk to you about something. Let's go inside," Lin Zhengying said, getting straight to the point.
"Okay, Tru, you go ahead and get busy. Don't forget to call Jackie Chan," the old man instructed.
"Dad!" Lin Zhengying winked at his father, giving him a meaningful look.
Dad paused for a moment, then said, "True, don't make the call yet. Prepare the materials package, and also get me a strong cup of tea."
"Yes, Master."
Inside the bookroom of Old Man's Antique Shop, the three took their seats in turn.
“Father, let me introduce you first. This is Master Zeng from the Kamar-Taj Hong Kong Temple,” Lam Ching-ying said, pointing to the people behind him.
"Hello..." Zeng was a little speechless. He couldn't possibly have the old man's surname as Lao and his given name as Die, could he? Oh well, it's come to this point. "Dad."
"Call me whatever you want, a name is just a label. What happened?" Dad asked, waving his hand.
"That's how it is..."
“Let me explain,” Lin Zhengying interjected. Zeng’s language skills were really lacking; it had taken him half an hour to explain things to him before, and now he didn’t have that much time.
Over the next five minutes, Lam Ching-ying recounted a condensed summary of events, mainly concerning the personnel distribution and internal conflicts of the Hong Kong Temple.
"What does the divination result mean?" the old man asked after listening.
"Very bad luck."
"What terrible thing? Who is the target?"
"The target is the citizens of Hong Kong."
Snapped!
The old man slammed his hand on the table; this was the first time in a long time that Lin Zhengying had seen his father lose his temper.
"They're not even fit to be managers!!" The old man stood up, his thin frame radiating an immense aura. "Where are they?"
With a whoosh, Zeng used his magic to condense a map in the air.
“There are only a few places in the entire Hong Kong monitoring and defense network that we haven’t yet gained control over. If they want to cause trouble, they are very likely to start from these places.”
“This is the most likely place!” Zeng pointed to a point on the map. “This place was invaded by Mephisto. Although he was driven back, the hell rift he left behind has not been completely closed yet, and the maintenance rights of the related seals are still in their hands.”
"It's also time for Mephisto's routine invasion. If they open the gap, it could attract countless evil spirits and demons."
The old man closed his eyes and thought for two seconds. "Zhengying, go find Zheng Xian and Guan Zhen and have them evacuate the nearby citizens."
"As for you, go back and report if you can, otherwise come with me. I'm not saying this to be mean, but your mage ranks haven't been cleansed in five hundred years, leaving too many remnants behind. By the way, I'd like to see what these people are up to!"
“No problem.” Lin Zhengying had just agreed when he remembered something. “Dad! Aren’t we waiting for orders from above?”
“We can’t wait any longer.” Dad pushed up his glasses. “They’ve already made their move in New York. The first to strike were Ouroboros’ An and Pike. King Arthur in London is poised to strike, and the Russian alchemists have gotten involved too. If we wait any longer, it’ll be too late.”
"Yes!"
At this moment, just as Zeng had guessed, the many monks who left the Hong Kong Temple were heading to the sealing point. There were two main reasons why they had not yet arrived.
One reason is to avoid being detected by the magic network; they don't want others to discover them in advance. The other reason is that there are differing opinions within the team.
"Master! I do not agree with opening the seal. No matter how much conflict arises, it is an internal matter! We cannot forget our responsibilities."
The last few mages in the group whispered among themselves and stepped forward.
The foreigner turned around, looked at them, and smiled. "Why would I do that? It was just a test."
No sooner had the words left his mouth than several whips were flung out from the ranks.
With a swish, several sharp weapons appeared in the hands of the opponents; they were already prepared when they came out to speak.
"You also want to rebel against me?" the foreigner asked with a grim face.
“Do you remember who you are?! You are a stabilizing mage of Kamar-Taj!” the rebel shouted.
"Stability maintenance mages? You're just a bunch of rootless duckweed. I'm a noble mage!" The foreigner waved his hand, and his team charged forward.
"You go! We'll stop them!"
The rebel addressed the last person, and at the same time, the second layer of mirror space unfolded, temporarily isolating everyone in front of him.
Finally, the man didn't mince words. He opened a pre-prepared portal and rushed out. He wanted to return to the temple!
The other rebels launched a direct attack, trying to hold off the people in front of them and reduce the number of messengers to a minimum.
Those who resisted were all quite capable, but the other side outnumbered them too much, and they could only delay them for a dozen minutes despite trying every means.
After the rebels were all tied up, a small portal appeared next to the foreigner.
"What? You didn't catch up?!" the foreigner exclaimed in surprise. A dozen people chased after one person and couldn't catch up. What were they doing?
"You think you can catch up with him? When it comes to the use of teleportation portals and mirror spaces, no one in the entire Hong Kong Temple is better than him," the rebel on the ground sneered.
"So what? It's too late for him!"
The foreigner coldly said that since they had already been exposed, they no longer needed to hide and could simply open a portal to go there.
Meanwhile, in the sky above Hong Kong, Gu Yi and Yang Qiu stood side by side, watching the situation below.
"How many times has this happened when you were spying on the timeline before?" Yang Qiu asked the guy below with a cold look in his eyes. He wanted to go down and wipe them out right now.
Gu Yi's expression was also not good. "It appears seventeen times on average out of ten thousand timelines, which is a probability of seventeen out of ten thousand."
"Really? I think it's 100%. The others might just be due to insufficient preconditions." Yang Qiu took a deep breath. "What are the chances of their plan succeeding?"
"One in a billion," the Ancient One replied. With her standing here today, it was impossible for anyone below to succeed. The only one chance was for Dormammu, Mephisto, and Odin to all come looking for trouble at the same time.
“Not enough! Some things have to be zero!” Yang Qiu said softly. As he spoke, several more seals appeared on the sealing point, and the magic net above was directly replaced by the illusory Heavenly Court network.
Chapter 84 Heavenly Court Network
"We've arrived! Prepare to break the seal!" the foreigner shouted as he and his men passed through the portal and reached their destination.
"Demons and monsters, leave quickly... demons and monsters, leave quickly..."
"Who's chanting?" The foreigner frowned and looked at his subordinate behind him. The subordinate pointed ahead, indicating that he should look.
The foreigner turned his head, and an old man and a fat man appeared in the mirror space at some point, each holding consumables made of some unknown material.
"Demons and monsters, leave quickly... demons and monsters, leave quickly..."
Accompanied by a spell that the foreigner had no idea what was going on, a green light emanated from the consumables, then shot straight into the ground, penetrating the entire mirror space.
Click, click, the foreigner's hands were holding what looked like a Rubik's Cube.
You dare to cause trouble in our mirror space? You're courting death!
The foreigner started twisting his hands, and the entire mirror space began to rotate. He intended to use the distorted space to crush his father and Tru to death.
崩~
A sound of a rope snapping came from somewhere, and then the foreigner found that the entire mirror space had suddenly slipped out of his control, and a faint green hue was emanating from the surrounding energy.
These green energies act like locks, tightly securing the foreigners' control over the mirror space.
"Continue to break the seal!" the foreigner said, flicking his right hand to produce a spear. He then walked step by step toward his father and the others.
"True~ Keep reading, don't stop."
The old man handed the supplies in his hand to Tru next to him, then twisted his neck, loosened his old back, and faced the foreigner head-on.
Ho!
The old man took a step forward, beckoned to the foreigner with his right hand, and said, "Kid, you think you can bully an old man like me just because you're young? Don't you know that I taught Jackie Chan all his kung fu?"
