"Alright, guys, that's enough for today! Go back and get some rest tonight, I'll be waiting for you here tomorrow morning."

Seeing this, Wentworth and Cedric exchanged a glance, and then simultaneously expressed their gratitude to Lupin.

Just as Cedric put away his wand and prepared to return to Hogwarts through the secret passage, Wentworth walked up to Lupin and took out a stack of Galleons.

“Professor Lupin, thank you very much for your guidance today. These Galleons are the tuition fees for Cedric and me.”

Lupin looked at the Galleons in Wentworth's hand with surprise, then reached out but didn't take them. Instead, he pushed Wentworth's hand away and said with a smile:

"No need, Wentworth. Headmaster Dumbledore has already paid your tuition."

Hearing Lupin's words, Wentworth was taken aback, then asked curiously:

"Professor Lupin, how many Galleons per week does Headmaster Dumbledore charge you for tuition?"

Lupin seemed a little embarrassed by Wentworth's question, but then shrugged and said:

"No, in fact, the payment Dumbledore paid me was not Galleons, but a special potion."

At this point, Wentworth seemed to understand something and tentatively asked:

"Wolfsbane potion?"

Hearing Wentworth immediately call out the name of the potion, Lupin was somewhat surprised, but then nodded in acknowledgment:

"That's right, it's the Wolfsbane Potion. In fact, for me, the Wolfsbane Potion is probably much more precious than Galleons. After all, with it, I can try to find a stable job. Of course, it's a job that doesn't require me to work on weekends. We'll still come to teach you spells on weekends."

At this point, Lupin seemed to want to smile at Wentworth, but Wentworth felt that Lupin's smile was full of bitterness.

Upon hearing Lupin's answer, Wentworth firmly grasped Lupin's hand and placed the stack of Galleons in it. This time, before Lupin could refuse, Wentworth preemptively said:

“Professor Lupin, the wolfsbane potion that Headmaster Dumbledore gave you wasn’t tuition money. He did it to ensure the safety of Hogwarts students. I can’t use Headmaster Dumbledore’s money.”

Lupin was taken aback by Wentworth's words. As a member of the Order of the Phoenix, Lupin was a close confidant of Dumbledore. Before coming here, Dumbledore had told Lupin about Wentworth's identity, and Lupin knew that Wentworth was the heir to the Grindelwald family.

Although Wentworth meant that Dumbledore had already done so much for her, even finding her a teacher, how could she possibly use Dumbledore's money again?

But when Lupin heard these words, he misunderstood them. Lupin thought that Wentworth meant that as the heir of the Grindelwald family, how could he possibly use the money of his mortal enemy?

This matter concerns the feud between the two families from the previous generation, and Lupin is now at a loss as to what to do.

Seeing Lupin's hesitation, Wentworth assumed he was still undecided and continued to persuade him:

“Professor Lupin, I’ve come here with the sincerity of learning magic from you. I hope to improve my skills as quickly as possible, so I think you should devote more time and energy to teaching us!”

"For example, you can prepare your lessons in advance and arrange the teaching content. I don't want to repeat what happened this morning, where we spent half a day agonizing over what to learn! I'm paying your tuition so that you can focus all your energy on me, instead of looking for another job!"

Hearing Wentworth's words, Lupin hesitated for a moment, but finally decided to accept it first and discuss it with Dumbledore later. So Lupin smiled and said:

"Alright Wentworth, I'll accept it then. But your tuition for this week isn't cheap, haha."

Wentworth, looking surprised, said:

"Teacher, what are you saying? This is, of course, our tuition for today!"

Seeing that Lupin seemed about to speak again, Wentworth quickly interjected:

“Professor Lu Ping, I don’t have the habit of paying tuition in advance. My tuition is settled daily!”

At this point, Wentworth seemed to remember something, paused, and continued:

"By the way, Professor Lupin, if Dumbledore gives you the Wolfsbane Potion, then you should take it. I can guess who made it, and I will pay him a fair reward."

Lupin, upon hearing Wentworth's words, was about to speak again, but before he could open his mouth, Wentworth preemptively said:

"This isn't tuition; it's for my own safety!"

After being interrupted twice by Wentworth, Lupin remained silent for a moment before finally saying slowly:

"Thank you!"

Seeing that Lupin had finally accepted it, Wentworth smiled and left the Screaming Shack with Cedric.

Not long after the two left, Dumbledore appeared in the Shrieking Shack.

Chapter Ninety-Seven: Cassandra, whom we haven't seen in a long time

Lupin seemed completely unsurprised by Dumbledore's sudden appearance, as if he had been deliberately waiting for him to arrive.

How do you feel about him?

Upon meeting, Dumbledore didn't exchange pleasantries but went straight to asking questions.

In response to Dumbledore's question, Lupin smiled slightly and said, as if joking:

“Headmaster Dumbledore, to say nothing of anything else, is at least much more generous than you.”

As he spoke, Lupin held up the stack of Galleons in his hand and gestured to Dumbledore.

Seeing this, Dumbledore chuckled dismissively and replied:

“I don’t have as many followers as Gellert, nor do I have the wealth of the Grindelwald family. My funding comes more from the Hogwarts Board of Governors.”

Lupin simply smiled dismissively at Dumbledore's response, but his attention was drawn to a vial of potion that Dumbledore took out of his pocket.

"Take it, this is what I promised you."

Dumbledore handed the potion to Lupin, a hint of pity flashing in his eyes as he looked at Lupin.

Lupin didn't stand on ceremony; he took the vial of potion directly from Dumbledore's hand, remained silent for a moment, and then softly said:

"Thank you!"

In response to Lupin's thanks, Dumbledore simply stated:

"You're welcome. This potion was made by my potions professor. You should be quite familiar with each other."

Upon hearing Dumbledore's words, Lupin sighed deeply and said with considerable emotion:

"Of course, we are very familiar with each other."

While Dumbledore and Lupin were discussing Wentworth, Wentworth and Cedric had already returned to the Hufflepuff common room. After saying goodbye to each other, they went back to their respective rooms.

When Wentworth returned to his dorm room and found it empty, he immediately took out his quill pen and letter paper.

Although Wentworth and Cedric kept discussing their day's gains on the way back, Wentworth was actually filled with anxiety.

He couldn't wait to find out if the killing of the group of wizard hunters was indeed the work of Rozier and Abernathy!

Wentworth didn't think Rozier and the others were wrong; he was just worried about them. After all, those wizard hunters were quite powerful! Wentworth didn't want them to lose their lives because of him.

Just as Wentworth was about to write, he noticed an envelope on his desk with a note on it.

The note was written by Green. Green left a message for Wentworth, saying that he saw an owl deliver a letter to Wentworth this morning, and that Green knew that Wentworth and Cedric would be going to learn spells from Lupin today, so he accepted it for Wentworth.

Wentworth was relieved to see that it was a letter from Green who had left it for him. He opened it and found that it was a letter from Abernathy.

In the letter, Abernathy did not hide anything, telling Wentworth everything that had recently happened. At the end of the letter, Abernathy also wrote his own assessment and repeatedly emphasized to Wentworth that he must be vigilant.

Upon seeing this, Wentworth couldn't help but slap himself on the forehead. At that moment, Wentworth was thinking:

Those wizard hunters, you can kill them if you want, after all, they didn't have any good intentions towards you. But why did you provoke the Ministry of Magic in the first place?

But thinking about this, Wentworth recalled the night he had just arrived, and the reactions and actions of Rozier, Abernathy, and the others. Suddenly, Wentworth felt that Rozier and the others' behavior this time was not surprising.

After carefully rereading Abernathy's letter, Wentworth suddenly noticed something that Abernathy, Rozier, and the others had overlooked: it seemed that one of the wizard hunters from that night had escaped the net!

Wentworth immediately wrote down his findings in a letter, while also instructing Abernathy and Rozier to be extra careful!

After finishing his letter, Wentworth left the Hufflepuff common room and headed alone to the Hogwarts tower where owls roost. But just as he was about to go upstairs, Wentworth encountered a familiar figure.

"Cassandra? Long time no see, what brings you here?"

Seeing Cassandra, whom he hadn't seen in a long time, walking down the tower with her head down, Wentworth noticed that this once somewhat arrogant young lady seemed a little dazed. However, considering the changes in her family, Wentworth could understand.

Cassandra, who had been looking down, raised her head in surprise upon hearing Wentworth's call. A hint of panic flashed in her eyes, and she instinctively put what she was holding behind her back.

"Oh, I came here to send a letter home."

Cassandra quickly offered an explanation.

But Wentworth always felt that Cassandra's tone was a little strange.

"Hey, Cassandra, I'm really not used to you talking to me like that!"

Wentworth said with a smile.

"What I do is none of your business! Get out of my way! I'm going back to my dorm!"

Wentworth breathed a sigh of relief. That felt good!

Wentworth and Cassandra then waved goodbye and headed up the tower.

But in the instant the two passed each other, Wentworth's gaze secretly glanced behind Cassandra and discovered that what Cassandra had hidden behind her was just an unopened letter, but the letter did not have the sender's name on it.

A hint of doubt flashed through Wentworth's mind. Cassandra had just said that she came here to mail a letter, right? Then who delivered this letter?

Seeing Cassandra's figure disappear around the corner of the tower, Wentworth had no choice but to put his doubts aside and head to the top of the tower to send a letter.

While Wentworth was searching for the owl to mail the letter, Cassandra returned to her dorm room. Seeing that no one was there, Cassandra quickly opened the letter in her hand and began to read it carefully.

A moment later, Cassandra seemed to let out a long sigh of relief, then took out her wand and pointed it at the letter.

"Crushed to pieces!"

Immediately, the letter shattered into countless fragments.

That evening, Abernathy, upon receiving Wentworth's letter, slapped his forehead in frustration after reading its contents.

"Abernathy, what happened?!"

Someone nearby noticed this and asked what was going on.

Abernathy answered with some regret:

"I think we made a mistake!"

Upon hearing Abernathy's words, those around him stopped what they were doing and gathered around. Abernathy, holding Wentworth's letter, slowly said:

"My young master reminded me of something in his letter: there's still one wizard hunter who escaped our net!"
