The others chattered amongst themselves behind Wentworth.
"Capture the spirit and grasp the mind!"
At this moment, Wentworth finally realized how right it was to insist on going to Hogwarts yesterday. These guys in front of him, although they were all experts in the magical world, they didn't know how to teach at all!
Indeed, professional matters should be left to professionals. When it comes to learning, the teachers at Hogwarts are far more reliable. Speaking of Hogwarts teachers, Wentworth suddenly wondered who would be teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts this year.
No, I need to think outside the box! Could it be Teacher Bo? Or ***? Or some other teacher?
Thus, Wentworth survived Abnersey's first Legilimency by relying on his longing for his many teachers from his previous life.
"That's enough for today, Wentworth. Make sure you get plenty of rest. Practicing Occlumency is very energy-consuming. We'll continue tomorrow."
After Rozier finished speaking, he led everyone to say goodbye to Wentworth, who then hurriedly went to the restroom after everyone left.
Upon returning to Rozier's residence, Rozier eagerly turned to Abernetsi and asked:
"Abernathy, what do you think of Wentworth's talent? What can you grasp with your mind?"
Upon hearing Rozier's question, Abernathy blushed, seemingly finding it difficult to speak.
"Abernathy, what's wrong with you? I noticed earlier that when you were using Legilimency, you were blushing and sweating profusely. Is Wentworth's talent so great that he could resist your Legilimency on the first try?"
Someone asked curiously from the side.
Abernathy, blushing, nodded resignedly after a long while and said:
“That’s right, Wentworth’s talent is indeed remarkable. I only managed to gain some things with Legilimency at the very beginning, and then I didn’t gain anything else!”
Upon hearing Abernathy's explanation, everyone's faces lit up with joy. Although Wentworth, as a member of the Grindelwald family, was the only candidate to become the future leader of the Malay Party, no one wanted to follow the weak.
Hearing Abernathy's conclusion after his own investigation, everyone was satisfied and began to have hope for the future again.
“Abernathy, what was Wentworth thinking in the first place? If it was a secret they couldn’t tell us, then so be it.”
After a moment, Rozier suddenly asked out of curiosity.
"There's nothing I can't talk about. Wentworth was wondering at first who the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher would be this year."
Abernathy thought for a moment and immediately replied.
"As expected, Wentworth still admires dark magic!"
"Of course, who doesn't yearn for powerful dark magic? I did too back then! Wentworth was able to resist the temptation of dark magic and ask to learn Occlumency, all for our sake!"
"By the way, was Hogwarts' Defense Against the Dark Arts class cursed by the second Dark Lord?"
"Bullshit, what second-generation Dark Lord? That guy is nothing, does he even deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as our leader?"
Ignoring the gossip of others, Rozier wore a thoughtful expression after hearing about the Defense Against the Dark Arts class at Hogwarts.
Soon, everyone noticed that Rozier seemed to be deep in thought, and the murmurs subsided.
"Rozier, what's wrong? Is something the problem?"
Abernathy asked.
After Rozier slowly came to his senses, he turned to look at everyone and said with a firm look in his eyes:
“I understand what Wentworth means! Abernathy, I think Wentworth deliberately made you recall his initial thoughts!”
Seeing Abernathy's bewildered expression, Rozier shook his head and continued to explain:
"The Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher is the next step in Wentworth's plan! He wants one of us to become the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts!"
"Once one of us becomes a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, the benefits to us will be immense! First, we can protect Wentworth closely within Hogwarts; second, we can assist Wentworth with his next steps; and third, we can gain a public identity!"
After hearing Rozier's explanation, everyone suddenly understood. But then, Abernathy frowned and asked:
"But will Dumbledore agree to our request and let us become professors at Hogwarts?"
Rozier, however, confidently stated:
"Dumbledore might not be willing to take other courses, but he's practically begging for a job as Defense Against the Dark Arts! After all, the only possible outcomes for a Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts are death, escape, injury, or fleeing. No headmaster could stand that!"
“But we are Maladiss! Dumbledore knows many of us!”
"Haven't you heard of compound decoctions?"
Upon hearing this, everyone understood why Rozier was so confident and praised his quick thinking.
Rozier sighed deeply, shook his head, and said:
"No, these are all hints from Wentworth. The reason they didn't say it outright is because Wentworth is still hesitant. After all, being a Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts is a high-risk profession. But all of this must be part of Wentworth's plan."
Upon hearing this, Abernathy stepped forward and spoke:
"Wow! I used to work in the U.S. Congress and received a formal magical education. It's no big deal for me to just be a school professor."
But no sooner had Abernathy finished speaking than someone retorted:
"Just kidding, I'm also a graduate of Durmstrang School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and I received a proper magical education. Besides, I'm stronger than you and can help Wentworth more!"
"If you're talking about strength, then I'll have to have a serious talk with you..."
"Enough!!!"
Seeing that chaos was about to break out, Rozier shouted, which silenced everyone.
"The professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts is clearly an important part of Wentworth's plan. He needs not only strength but also a great deal of care, after all, it's right under Dumbledore's nose!"
"You lot are so slow at thinking things through. Wentworth has already given you hints, but you're still unmoved. How can I trust you to go? If you go, I'm afraid you'll drag Wentworth down with you!"
"This time, I'll go myself!"
Rozier looked out the window and said decisively.
Chapter 11 Platform Nine and Three-Quarters
For some time afterward, Wentworth studied Occlumency under the tutelage of Rozier and others every day. As the start of the semester approached, Wentworth was finally able to hide his thoughts well, even when facing Abernathy.
Time quickly came to September 1st, the first day of school at Hogwarts.
Wentworth got up very early that day and, led by Abernathy, Apparated directly to Platform 9¾.
"Abernathy, where is Grandma Rozier today?"
Wentworth stood in front of the platform and asked curiously.
Wentworth had assumed that Rozier would be the one to see him off today, but to his surprise, it was Abernathy who knocked on his door this morning; Rozier never showed up.
Abernathy replied with a smile:
“My dear Wentworth, as a man, you must understand that no matter how strong a woman may appear, her heart is always soft! Rosier is heartbroken at the thought of you leaving her to go to Hogwarts on your own.”
"Rozier said she just couldn't bear the feeling of parting, so she simply didn't come. Haha."
Actually, this was something Rozier had discussed with them: not to tell Wentworth his true whereabouts, so that Wentworth would worry about his safety and disagree with Rozier going to Hogwarts to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts.
After hearing Abernathy's answer, Wentworth recalled the time they had spent together. Although these dark wizards were even more insane than the Death Eaters, he had to admit that they were genuinely kind to him.
The thought of parting ways made Wentworth feel a pang of sadness.
"Alright, Wentworth, go inside now! When you get to Hogwarts, remember to write to us! If you need any help, be sure to tell us in your letter! Most importantly, if there's any danger, you know what to do!"
Abernathy whispered in Wentworth's ear.
“I understand, I’ve always remembered that, don’t worry, Abernathy.”
Wentworth pulled a pendant from his clothes. It was taken from the Gringotts Grindelwald family vault. The triangular pendant had a circle between it, with a vertical line running through it.
Wentworth wore it around his neck, but Abernathy carefully placed it inside his coat.
"Remember, never let anyone see this pendant. It's a symbol! But if you ever encounter danger, infuse the pendant with magic, and no matter where we are in the world, we will be there for you as quickly as possible."
"Alright, Wentworth, it's getting late, let's go!"
Abernathy patted Wentworth on the shoulder and said very seriously.
Then, Wentworth pushed his suitcase, aimed at the legendary pillar, closed his eyes, and rushed inside.
Abernathy watched Wentworth disappear ahead and was about to leave when he suddenly became alert and quickly reached for his wand.
"Abernathy, who gave you permission to add your own drama?"
Abernathy breathed a sigh of relief, for it was Rozier's voice coming from behind him.
Abernathy turned around and saw a woman wearing a top hat, with a long ponytail, and dressed in a dark green trench coat appear behind him.
"Oh, Rozier, indeed, no matter what you look like, your air is always so noble, like a vibrant rose in a barren land. I think you need to disguise yourself a little more, after all, you're going to see Dumbledore!"
Rozier, ignoring Abernathy's flattery, looked him in the eye and said:
"Who told you that no matter how strong a woman appears, her heart is always soft? Do you really understand women, Abernathy?"
Abernathy gave an awkward laugh, unsure how to start a conversation.
Rozier ignored Abernathy and walked straight toward Platform 9¾.
"However, you are right about one thing: I really can't bear separation. So, I must make him walk out of that tower openly and honestly!"
After saying that, Rozier disappeared in front of Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, leaving only Abernathy behind.
Wentworth was already standing in front of the somewhat old-fashioned train. The slight sadness of parting had been completely replaced by anticipation for his new life at Hogwarts.
"Is this the Hogwarts Express? It really doesn't look very good..."
Wentworth looked at the dilapidated train in front of him, even though he had already told himself that this was Britain in 1990 and he couldn't look at it with the perspective of more than 20 years later.
But for Wentworth, who was used to riding Harmony and Fuxing high-speed trains in his previous life, the only redeeming quality of this train was its cleanliness.
"Yes, this train is indeed old, but it's part of Hogwarts now, isn't it?"
Just then, a male voice sounded behind Wentworth. Wentworth turned around and saw a handsome and sunny young man standing behind him, with a middle-aged man carrying a backpack beside him.
"A new student at Hogwarts? Hello, my name is Cedric, Cedric Diggory!"
Cedric flashed a smile that could charm countless young women and extended his hand to Wentworth.
The man behind Cedric then followed up by saying:
“Cedric, my son, he was the top student at Hogwarts last year! All his grades were O!”
When Wentworth learned that the person in front of him was Cedric, he was first taken aback, not expecting to encounter an important character from the Harry Potter novels so soon, and then immediately put on a bright smile.
