A moment later, the old wizard appeared in Abernathy's room and quickly spoke.

"What, has that bar owner not left yet?"

Abernathy asked, frowning.

The old wizard replied somewhat awkwardly:

“I was originally going to take him to Paris today, since many wizards have witnessed him join us, but he said he wanted to see the place he had fought for all his life one last time.”

"Snapped!"

Upon hearing the old wizard's reply, Abernathy flew into a rage, smashed his wine glass, and angrily exclaimed:

"So, what use are these wizards besides causing us trouble?!"

Faced with Abernathy's anger, the old wizard looked even more embarrassed, and after a moment of silence, he said:

"I thought that we were getting old and wanted to absorb some wizards in their prime as fresh blood to serve our young master. I didn't expect things to turn out like this."

"Should we give up..."

But before the old wizard could finish speaking, Ilona's owl arrived!

After Abernathy finished reading Ilona's letter, he remained silent for a long time. But during this silence, the old wizard beside him felt that Abernathy seemed to have turned into a volcano about to erupt.

Just then, Abernathy said coldly:

"Even if we are dissatisfied and want to punish him according to family rules, we must wait until he returns! Since he has already joined the Vigilante Party, we cannot let him fall into the hands of the British Ministry of Magic!"

Upon hearing this, the old wizard quickly spoke up:

"Let's go there right now!"

Abernathy waved his hand and objected:

"Going now is probably too late! His few men are no match for so many Aurors."

At this point, Abernathy pondered for a moment, then said with a firm gaze:

"Let's go straight to the Ministry of Magic! The British Ministry of Magic!"

The old wizard exclaimed in alarm:

"Now? The British Ministry of Magic? Just the few of us?"

Abernathy nodded and said:

"Right now, at the British Ministry of Magic, but naturally, it can't be just the few of us! Notify all the Vigilantes in Britain, especially around London, that we are to assemble at the British Ministry of Magic!"

The old wizard, still somewhat worried, said:

"That might take too long! We don't have that much time!"

Abernathy, however, confidently stated:

"We certainly can't notify them one by one. It's time to awaken the magical world's past memories!"

Upon hearing Abernathy's words, the old wizard was both excited and worried, and said:

"Is it too much of a price to pay for doing this for a newly joined wizard?"

But Abernathy said something quite meaningful:

"Of course, it's not just for him! It's for our young master! Since we can't find those rats hiding in the shadows for the time being, we'll tell them with a voice that can be heard throughout the entire magical world!"

"Our Masonic Party can still launch a war that sweeps across the entire wizarding world. Anyone or any organization that dares to attack our Masonic Party should be prepared to fight to the death! I want to see if they can afford to play this game!"

On this day, thousands of black veils rose in London, even without wind!

Chapter 109 Prelude to War

Just moments before, in the underground bar of Flipped Alley, the bar owner, wearing a top hat, was looking at the bar he had painstakingly run for half his life with a nostalgic expression.

"Boss, are we really going to Paris, France?"

A wizard, who was also a bartender, walked over and stood behind the bar owner, asking a question.

The bar owner, without turning his head, replied:

"There's nothing we can do. So many wizards saw me swear allegiance to the Lich Party. This news can't be kept secret for long; the Ministry of Magic will find out sooner or later. They can't find the other Lich Party members. If we stay here any longer, aren't we just waiting for the Ministry of Magic to come knocking on our door?!"

Upon hearing the bar owner's reply, the bartender said somewhat resentfully:

"It's all their fault! If it weren't for them, we wouldn't have had to leave our homes! We should continue..."

Before the bartender could finish speaking, the bar owner raised his hand to stop him and said:

"Alright, that's enough! Actually, joining the Witchcraft Party isn't a bad choice! At least we won't have to worry about being cornered in the bar by other dark wizards every day!"

"Moreover, the UMNO has promised to prepare a brand new bar for us in Paris, which will be even more magnificent than this one! They've treated us quite well. From now on, we'll be in charge of running the bar in Paris and, incidentally, gathering intelligence for the UMNO."

But the bartender behind him still seemed somewhat dissatisfied. Just as he was about to say something, a loud bang came from the direction of the entrance, followed by countless footsteps rushing into the bar.

Just as the bartender was stunned, the bar owner shouted:

"Come on!"

Immediately, the few people in the bar who had realized what was happening were about to teleport away when a dense spell lit up in the small bar.

"He collapsed to the ground, completely unconscious!"

A spell shot swiftly toward the bar owner, who was about to teleport away, so he had to duck to avoid it.

But the bartender behind him wasn't so lucky. Unable to dodge in time, he was struck by the curse and fell straight to the ground.

Immediately, in the confined space of the bar, spells flew and a fierce battle broke out between the two sides. The bar owner, taking advantage of his familiarity with the terrain, dodged and weaved, occasionally retaliating. However, in this place filled with spells, no one dared to teleport, lest they accidentally separate from their bodies.

However, although the bar owner and his few wizards were able to fight back occasionally by taking advantage of the terrain, it wasn't long before they were forced behind the bar in a corner due to their numerical disadvantage.

Just then, someone on the other side used a megaphone spell to loudly proclaim:

“I am Rufus Scrimgeour, Head of the Auror Office at the British Ministry of Magic. You are surrounded! I can give you a chance since you haven’t used the Unforgivable Charm! Throw down your wands and come with me to the British Ministry of Magic for questioning!”

Upon hearing this, the bar owner knew that everything that had happened in his bar had obviously been discovered by the British Ministry of Magic. Although it was bound to happen sooner or later, the bar owner did not expect that the Aurors from the Ministry of Magic would arrive so much earlier than he had anticipated!

Rufus Scrimgeour, however, remained completely calm and unhurried, knowing that the people in the bar were now his for the taking.

Sure enough, after a short while, with a "thud," a wand was thrown out from the corner bar, followed by several more wands.

Seeing this, the Aurors present felt reassured. Rufus Scrimgeour waved his hand, and the Aurors surrounded him from all sides.

But just then, a magical light suddenly shone from the corner!

"Crushed to pieces!"

A spell struck the chandelier above, and as it went out, the Aurors present panicked.

The bar owner hid his wand and then used the same method the wizard hunter had employed to create chaos and escape.

At the crucial moment, Rufus Scrimgeour shouted:

"Everyone, in the corners, cast a Stunning Spell!"

Amidst a barrage of spells, the bar in the corner was blasted to pieces by magic, while Rufus Scrimgeour raised his wand high:

"Fluorescent flash!"

Then, under Rufus Scrimgeour's command, the Aurors cautiously circled around the corner once again.

Under the light from the tip of Rufus Scrimgeour's wand, the Aurors discovered that the last few wizards, including the pub owner, had all fallen to the ground, stunned by a stun spell.

Rufus Scrimgeour breathed a sigh of relief when he saw his boss in the top hat.

"That was really dangerous, boss! Luckily you reacted quickly, otherwise they might have gotten away!"

"One of the Aurors standing next to Rufus Scrimgeour said with admiration."

But Rufus Scrimgeour remained serious for a moment before slowly speaking:

"This is just a wizard who has just joined the UMNO party. He is one of the most marginal figures in the party. He is already so difficult to deal with. It seems that I underestimated them."

Upon hearing Rufus Scrimgeour's words, the Aurors who had been jubilant had to suppress their excitement and silently carried the unconscious wizard out of the bar.

However, as Rufus Scrimgeour led the Aurors from the Ministry of Magic out of the underground bar, they found that Knockturn Alley, which had been like a stagnant pool, was now like a pot of boiling oil. Many wizards were in a panic, running through Knockturn Alley.

Rufus Scrimgeour initially thought that these wizards, who usually hid in Knockturn Alley, were so flustered because they had discovered the arrival of the Aurors. However, Rufus Scrimgeour soon realized that these wizards completely ignored his group as they passed by.

"Boss, something seems off!"

An experienced Auror took out his wand and spoke warily.

Just then, an Auror suddenly cried out in terror:

"Look, look at that!"

Rufus Scrimgeour and the others looked in the direction the Auror was pointing, and saw a huge black veil moving slowly in one direction from the sky not far from Knockturn Alley, without any wind.

In the direction from which the black veil was coming, many buildings were already completely shrouded in it.

"This scene seems familiar..."

An Auror looked at the scene before him and muttered to himself.

Rufus Scrimgeour stared blankly at the scene before him, his face turning deathly pale. A moment later, however, he urgently instructed the Aurors around him:

"Quickly! Back to the Ministry of Magic! Everyone, quick!"

Chapter 110 London in Turmoil

Just as the black veil, visible only to wizards, was being lifted, Austin Greengrass was strolling through Diagon Alley with his younger sister, Astoria Greengrass.

"Brother, what have you been busy with these past few days? Why haven't we seen you around at all!"

Astoria peered into the shop window and asked, but received no response from Austin.

So Astoria had no choice but to turn to look at Austin behind her, and at the same time whispered:

"elder brother?"

Just then, Astoria saw Austin staring blankly into the distance. Following Austin's gaze, Astoria also saw the black veil fluttering in the distance.
