Cassandra, on the other hand, would come to the Hufflepuff common room every week, but each time she came up empty-handed.
Sometimes, Cassandra even had the illusion that she was like someone from a Muggle book she had once read.
In a Muggle school, a girl fell in love with a boy, but she didn't dare to confess her feelings. Instead, she could only secretly observe the boy on his way home from school every evening.
Whenever she thought of this, Cassandra would shake her head vigorously, telling herself that she must never forget that her father's hope for salvation still lay with Wentworth!
There was another person who had been observing all of this with a cold eye, and that person was Green!
"Could Cassandra really have a crush on Wentworth? But I've never heard anything about Wentworth and her. Is it just unrequited love?"
When Green ran into Cassandra lingering outside the lounge again, he couldn't help but mutter to himself.
Another week passed, and Cassandra still hadn't been able to see Wentworth over the weekend. Finally, Christine, who was in Hogsmeade Village, couldn't take it anymore.
When Cassandra sneaked back to Hogsmeade and knocked on the door, a large hand grabbed her hair and dragged her inside!
Chapter 132 Heart-Piercing and Bone-Cutting Techniques
Cassandra was grabbed and dragged into the room, then slammed to the ground. Instinctively, she reached for her wand, but before she could pull it out, a wand was already pointed at her head.
Once Cassandra calmed down, she had time to take a look at the room. She noticed that there were significantly more wizards in the room now than before.
"Cassandra, are you alright?!"
Just then, Cassandra heard a concerned voice behind her, but the voice sounded extremely weak.
Cassandra quickly turned around and saw her father, Thomas Revol, still tied to a chair, looking haggard.
"Father!"
Cassandra screamed and lunged at her father, but before she could even stand up, the wand pressed against her forehead.
At that moment, Christine's voice drifted out from the side.
“Cassandra, did you not take our instructions seriously at all? It seems we've been too lenient with you! Or perhaps you don't care about your father?”
After speaking, Christine nodded to a wizard beside her. Then, to the horror of Cassandra and Thomas Revo, the wizard walked to Thomas Revo's side and raised his wand.
"Heart-piercing and bone-scraping!"
"what!!!"
Thomas Revol immediately let out a painful howl and began to tremble all over.
"No! Please! Please! No!"
Seeing this, Cassandra cried and tried to rush towards the wizard to stop his spell, but she was held back by another wizard and could not move.
Cassandra could only watch helplessly as her father wept uncontrollably.
After a while, when the wizard stopped, Thomas Revol had his head down, his whole body soaked with sweat.
Christine then walked over to Cassandra, lifted Cassandra's chin with her finger, and said coldly:
"Cassandra, this is the consequence of you toying with me!"
Cassandra, her face streaked with tears, shook her head and choked out:
"I wasn't playing tricks on you! Really, I just couldn't find an opportunity!"
Christine chuckled coldly twice, staring into Cassandra's eyes as she said:
"If it were just a day or two, I would believe you if you said you hadn't found an opportunity! But several weeks have passed, and you're still telling me you haven't found an opportunity? Are you kidding me?"
Cassandra quickly explained:
"No, really no! I really tried my best, but Wentworth is really elusive. I've searched the entire Hogwarts every weekend for the past few weeks, but I haven't seen Wentworth anywhere!"
Christine silently observed Cassandra for a long while before finally speaking with a cold smile:
"Whether you've lied to us or not, we'll find the answer ourselves! If you really have lied, then today is the last time you'll see your father!"
Then, Christine nodded to the wizard standing next to her who had been pointing his wand at Cassandra. The wizard then walked directly in front of Cassandra and stared intently into her eyes.
"Capture the spirit and grasp the mind!"
After a while, the wizard finally looked away from Cassandra and then stared at Christine with a strange expression.
Seeing this, Christine asked with some confusion:
"What's wrong? What happened?"
The wizard shook his head, sighed, and said:
"What this little girl said is actually true!"
The wizard then told Christine that he had seen it through Legilimency: every time Cassandra went to Wentworth, Wentworth was indeed not there. In fact, Cassandra searched the entire Hogwarts but could not find Wentworth anywhere.
Christine, upon hearing the wizard's words, looked utterly bewildered and said in disbelief:
"That's impossible. If he's not at Hogwarts, where else could he be?"
Then, as if she had thought of something, Christine murmured somewhat uncertainly:
"Could it be that our previous two actions alerted Dumbledore, and he deliberately protected Wentworth?"
Hearing Christine's mutterings, the wizard beside her thoughtfully echoed:
"I think what you said is very likely!"
Cassandra, standing to the side, said with tears in her eyes:
"I told you, I'm telling the truth! I really wasn't lying, I genuinely can't find any trace of Wentworth!"
Upon hearing Cassandra's explanation, Christine smiled awkwardly, then put on a kind smile and said:
“I’m so sorry, Cassandra, we misunderstood you! If Dumbledore really wanted to protect Wentworth, it’s true that you would have had a hard time finding him! It’s not your fault!”
As Christine spoke, she helped Cassandra up from the ground and led him to a seat nearby.
Then he said to the wizard beside him:
"Go treat Thomas Revo and get him some food!"
Cassandra could only watch tearfully as her father was taken away, and then Christine spoke again:
“Cassandra, if Wentworth is indeed under Dumbledore’s tight protection, as we just said, then you may not have another chance to make a move inside Hogwarts.”
Upon hearing Christine's words, Cassandra's heart skipped a beat, and she immediately replied:
"Give me another chance! Please give me another chance! At worst, I'll do it during class..."
But before Cassandra could finish speaking, Christine waved her hand and said:
"No need. That would be too obvious, and you wouldn't be able to fool Dumbledore."
Cassandra looked at Christine in horror and said:
“Then…then my father.”
Christine smiled and patted Cassandra's hand, comforting her:
"Don't worry, this is not your fault. As for your father, we will find time to send him back to your manor in London."
Upon hearing this good news, Cassandra was initially overjoyed, but then gave a wry smile and asked:
"So, what is the price?"
Christine looked at Cassandra with great satisfaction and said:
“Although we can send him back to your manor in London, after the riots caused by the Lich Party, London is in a state of high alert. If we show up rashly, the British Ministry of Magic might mistake us for Lich Party members. We don’t want to take that risk. So, we would like to stay at your manor for a few days.”
Cassandra immediately nodded in agreement.
"no problem!"
Seeing this, Christine smiled and continued:
"Speaking of which, Christmas is almost here! What do you think about throwing a Christmas dance during the Christmas holidays and inviting your classmates over? Like Wentworth Grindelwald, for example!"
Chapter 133 Invitation
Wentworth realized that Christmas was just around the corner when Green, as a Hufflepuff prefect, began helping Professor Sprout compile a list of students who wouldn't be going home for Christmas.
"Wentworth, are you going back home for Christmas or staying at Hogwarts?"
Green and Cedric arrived at Wentworth's bedroom and asked.
Wentworth thought for a moment before answering:
"Let's go back. If we don't go back for the Christmas holidays, those old folks at home might think I've been imprisoned by Dumbledore. I don't want another Hogwarts defense battle! By the way, do you want to come back with me and see your predecessors?"
Wentworth winked at Green and Cedric as he spoke.
The two men's expressions changed, and they waved their hands repeatedly, saying:
"No, no!"
"Next time definitely!"
Wentworth chuckled, unconcerned, and instead said:
"Actually, they are all very good people, and sometimes even quite adorable."
Green and Cedric chuckled politely but didn't say anything.
Cute? If someone outside said that a witch doctor from the Wushi Party was cute, other witch doctors would probably think they were a fool! The two thought to themselves.
Time really flies!
Wentworth sighed.
Wentworth didn't even realize that almost half a year had passed since he transmigrated to the present.
Cedric, standing to the side, remarked:
"Of course you'll think it's fast! If all the things you've experienced this semester were written into a book, it would be at least 300,000 words long!"
Green, meanwhile, let out a chuckle.
