After leaving the classroom, Professor McGonagall went straight to Dumbledore's office.

"Albus, in class today..."

Before Professor McGonagall could finish speaking, Dumbledore casually waved his hand and presented her with a cup of unidentified hot tea.

"Minerva, calm down, have a drink first..."

But before Headmaster Dumbledore could finish speaking, Professor McGonagall waved her hand dismissively, returning the cup of tea that had been brought to him, saying:

"Let me finish what I have to say! In class today..."

Professor McGonagall then recounted to Dumbledore everything that had happened in class that day, especially the cufflinks Cassandra had made bearing the symbol of the Deathly Hallows.

At the end, Professor McGonagall said in a rather anxious tone:

“Headmaster Dumbledore, I think our worst fears have come true. Wentworth has actually started developing his witchcraft party within Hogwarts! As the Deputy Headmaster of Hogwarts, this is something I absolutely cannot allow to happen!”

Dumbledore remained remarkably calm as he listened to Professor McGonagall's account.

"You knew all along, Albus!"

Faced with the doubts, Dumbledore calmly replied:

“Professor McGonagall, I think you need to hear this story first!”

"On the third day after Christmas, a banquet was held at Cassandra's family estate..."

Over the next ten minutes, Dumbledore recounted everything that had happened at the Revol family manor to Professor McGonagall.

At the end of the story, Dumbledore spoke:

"So, the Cassandra incident can be considered an accident, or a special circumstance. As for Cedric and Green, we expected this, didn't we? Don't worry, if Wentworth really wants to develop a witchcraft party at Hogwarts, I will talk to him!"

After listening to Dumbledore's account, Professor McGonagall nodded thoughtfully and said:

"So that's how it is. No wonder Cassandra became their accomplice. Thank goodness Thomas is still alive! But Dumbledore, how do you know all this? You weren't there, were you?"

Dumbledore winked playfully and began to explain:

"I'm just borrowing things that the parents of a new student who will be arriving this year have entrusted to me."

Meanwhile, Wentworth, back in his dorm, immediately called Cedric and Green over, told them everything that had happened in Transfiguration class that day, and gave them instructions:

“Professor McGonagall will definitely tell Headmaster Dumbledore what happened today. I don’t know how Headmaster Dumbledore will react. If anything unexpected happens, you should try to get to Hogsmeade Village. Carol is there.”

Hearing Wentworth's instructions, Cedric and Green exchanged glances, and finally Cedric said:

"Wentworth, aren't you overthinking this? I don't think Headmaster Dumbledore would..."

But Wentworth waved his hand to interrupt Cedric, saying:

“I also hope that Headmaster Dumbledore understands that this was not my intention, but we can’t place all our hopes on others, can we?”

Hearing Wentworth's words, Cedric and Green had no choice but to nod and agree.

In the following days, everything was calm, which allowed Wentworth to relax and continue the intense scoring battle with Cedric.

Wentworth, in particular, consistently beat Cassandra to the punch in several classes, completing the assignments given by the professor and earning Hufflepuff extra points.

Just as Wentworth was beginning to doubt whether he was truly gifted and had surpassed Cassandra in every aspect in just six months, Cassandra's performance in Snape's Potions class proved to Wentworth that it wasn't as he thought.

Under Green's leadership, and especially with Wentworth and Cedric's encouragement, the entire Hufflepuff team began to frantically rack up points. In just a few days, Hufflepuff's score led Slytherin's by a small section, putting pressure on the entire Slytherin community.

The Slytherin snakes were eagerly anticipating Snape's Potions class, hoping to use it to turn the tide.

Not long into the lesson, Professor Snape produced a piece of net-like plant and asked:

"I hope you won't tell me you don't know what this is?"

When Snape asked Wentworth for his opinion, Wentworth knew the chances were slim, but he still raised his hand.

Snape merely glanced at Wentworth before turning his gaze toward Slytherin House.

Seeing Snape's gaze sweep in their direction, all the first-year Slytherin students instinctively looked at Cassandra. After all, Cassandra had already proven with her actions who the leader of the first-year Slytherin students was.

However, Cassandra remained calmly seated, showing no reaction whatsoever, creating an awkward situation.

Beside Cassandra, another Slytherin student seemed hesitant. Just as he was still debating whether to raise his hand, he suddenly felt a gaze upon him.

Following the direction of the gaze, he happened to see Cassandra staring intently at him.

As it turns out, the world truly has discerning eyes, for he clearly saw a hint of warning in Cassandra's gaze, and so he quickly lowered his hand, which he had halfway raised.

Seeing that no one in Slytherin raised their hand, Snape had no choice but to call on Wentworth.

"It's the Devil's Web, Professor."

Snape waved for Wentworth to sit down, and for the rest of the lesson, Snape did not ask another question.

Chapter 158 End of the Semester

Wentworth had witnessed everything that happened in class today. As soon as get out of class ended, Wentworth approached Cassandra and said:

“Cassandra, you don’t need to do this in Potions class from now on. Professor Snape isn’t stupid, and I don’t want him to hold a grudge against me.”

Upon hearing Wentworth's words, Cassandra was taken aback at first, then smiled and said:

"Potion class from now on? What about the other classes?"

Wentworth paused for a moment, then casually said:

"Fair competition! I also want to see if I'm truly the best among my peers!"

Cassandra watched Wentworth's departing figure silently, lost in thought.

As soon as he returned to the common room in Hufflepuff, Wentworth called Green into his bedroom. What the two said, even Cedric didn't know, but everyone saw Green leave Wentworth's room with a flushed face.

From that day on, during the entire year of Hogwarts' classes, the other students became supporting characters. All they had to do in class, besides listening to the professors, was watch Wentworth and Cassandra clash as if they were watching a play.

Interspersed among the tense scoring battles between Hufflepuff and Slytherin is a Quidditch match at Hogwarts.

However, in contrast to Hufflepuff's perfect record of three wins, Slytherin unexpectedly lost their match against Gryffindor, which caused Slytherin to fall behind Hufflepuff in an instant.

June arrived, and Hogwarts entered its most intense exam week. All Hogwarts students, even the Gryffindor students who were usually least fond of studying, such as the Weasley twins, threw themselves into intense review.

Last weekend, Lupin also said goodbye to Wentworth and Cedric, and they agreed to meet again when school starts.

However, such an exam was a piece of cake for people like Wentworth and Cedric, and there was no need to even review it. They were more concerned about Green's OWLS exam at the moment.

When Green emerged from the final Defense Against the Dark Arts exam room, Wentworth and Cedric, who had been waiting there, immediately rushed to greet him.

"How did the exam go, Senior Green?"

Cedric looked at Green's expressionless face and asked anxiously.

Green's gaze swept over the two of them, and the corners of his mouth gradually widened until he finally revealed a knowing smile.

Cedric and Wentworth exchanged a glance, then cheered and hugged Green.

Green, with a broad smile, said:

"Not bad, I feel like I'll at least get an E, which means I think I can get at least 8 certificates!"

Upon hearing Green's words, Wentworth and Cedric both exclaimed "Wow!" It should be noted that the two knew that Green had actually given up on several courses from the beginning, such as divination and ancient runes.

In other words, students can pass the OWLS exam for almost any course that Green chooses.

It was at this moment that Wentworth realized he seemed to have made a mistake!

Perhaps influenced by the original work, Wentworth always thought that Cedric was the top student around her, but at this moment, Wentworth realized that Green was also a top student, and the kind who was well-rounded!

A Hufflepuff prefect, captain of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team, and holder of at least 8 OWLS certifications—he's practically an all-rounder!

But why is Green so insignificant in the original story? After some thought, Wentworth could only attribute it to the fact that Green and the protagonist of the original story were too far apart in age and had too little interaction.

When exam week ended and the results were released, the entire Hogwarts community was naturally caught between two contrasting emotions: joy and sorrow.

Some people are excitedly preparing to go home for the holidays, while others are frowning and thinking about how to make their parents forget to ask about their report cards.

Wentworth received an E in History of Magic, but all his other subjects were O's. In the entire first year of Hogwarts, only Cassandra's all O's surpassed Wentworth's.

Although Wentworth appeared to lose to Cassandra in individual achievements, Hufflepuff finally broke Slytherin's monopoly on the House Cup by gaining a huge lead in Quidditch and successfully won the House Cup.

So when the end-of-term farewell party, or end-of-term dinner, arrived, the entire Great Hall of Hogwarts was decorated anew, and all the flags above the Great Hall were replaced with Hufflepuff flags.

This made every Hufflepuff who entered the hall walk with their head held high.

As for the other three houses, apart from the somewhat listless and dispirited Slytherin students, Ravenclaw and Gryffindor did not seem to find it difficult to accept Hufflepuff's victory in the House Cup.

Especially for Gryffindor, who are the least compatible with Slytherin, the Weasley brothers even applauded, congratulating Hufflepuff on winning this year's House Cup.

When Headmaster Dumbledore announced the start of the farewell dinner, the atmosphere in the entire hall became lively once again.

Amidst the noisy atmosphere, Wentworth noticed that the napkin on the table in front of him had suddenly transformed into the shape of a hand. This hand first waved to Wentworth, and then pointed towards the direction outside the Great Hall.

Wentworth looked around with some confusion, just in time to see Headmaster Dumbledore leave the faculty seating area and walk out.

Knowing what was going on, Wentworth whispered to Cedric and Green, then turned and walked out of the Great Hall of Hogwarts. As soon as he stepped out, Wentworth saw Dumbledore waiting not far away.

"Headmaster Dumbledore, you wanted to see me?"

Wentworth approached Dumbledore and spoke respectfully.

Dumbledore looked Wentworth over and said with a smile:

"Wentworth, you've grown quite a bit in just one year! You look more and more like your grandfather when he was young!"

Wentworth felt a chill run down his spine upon hearing Dumbledore's words, thinking that Dumbledore was about to confront him.

Unexpectedly, Dumbledore changed the subject and asked:

Wentworth, what are your plans for this holiday?

Caught off guard by Dumbledore's question, Wentworth was somewhat bewildered and could only tentatively reply:

"I plan to practice some spells at home, or learn some new spells."

In response to Wentworth's answer, Dumbledore nodded noncommittally and casually said:

"I'm so glad that you didn't let your guard down even on vacation!"

Just as Wentworth was about to exchange a few polite words, Dumbledore continued:

"I have an old friend who's been searching the world for all sorts of amazing creatures, but he's getting old and wants me to introduce him to a talented young person to go with him. Are you interested? Think of it as a summer camp!"
